For Nigerian, you need to first take it to the ministry of education and ministry of foreign affair after their legalisation, you will then apply for legalisation at Belgian embassy. I think it is around 20 euros. Which program did you apply for and which one has selected you? edderdstark: Good morning
I have been picked by one of the 3 schools i applied for though American yet to get the Erasmus plus scholarship which i hope to get by april.
please i need info on legalization of my documents in the Belgian embassy
Thanks |

Which school did you study the chemical/petrochemical engineering please ProEnergy: hello.
I've sought for advice countless times on this channel with no response from anyone. notwithstanding I commend the good work done here by a lot of people, i mean this thread has helped me design a long term goal for myself prior to which the future seemed bleak.
I dont feel good in my skin as regards the standard of education I've had in nigeria and that is why i swore to go the way of sirRiddy et al ever since i stumbled on this thread. However, i have self-confidence issues as per applying for a masters degree program in the U.S due to the not-too-good grade i had in my 1st degree, 3.05/5.00, more-still i envisage a well funded program which i doubt this profile would get me. to augment for this lapse, i have applied for an m.sc program in nigeria hoping I'd culminate my academic pursuit in the U.S for a Ph.D. Meanwhile, i am a 28yr old graduate of chemical/petrochemical engineering.
I just want to know if this is the best move i can make with the grade i have. |

According to the message they sent me, the whole fee should be around 23000$. The admission for this year has ended and I guess the next admission exercise will come up around january-march 2019. Hkana: Thanks for this reply. I wanted to apply for the program but I didn't understand how to go about it. $7500 that's a huge sum of money for partial scholarship I can only imagine how much one would have to pay without scholarship |
Education › Re: Share Your Experiences As A Postgraduate Student In A Federal University! by solastar2: 8:22pm On Nov 02, 2017 |
Last year, my friend was admitted into the school and all the students were funded. But this year, I was admitted and the school demanded that we should pay 7500$ as most of us were offered partial scholarship. But if you are a female, you stand a better chance because most female were fully funded. Hkana: Please house, does anyone know about African university of science and technology, Abuja? Please how is their program like and how much would it cost, roughly?
Thanks, please treat as urgent |

And why do you think he should not be proud of being an atheist? Who told you atheist keep it to themselves? I am 1 of them and I don't keep it to myself and I think he has the right to his name and religious opinion. So because you are religious doesn't mean you will teach him what to do with his life. If you can't help his cause then ignore him. princetx: And you are proud to say that you are an atheist. For you to have used JESUSCHRIST419 as username shows that you are an ANTICHRIST. You are against him, atheists do not believe in God and they keep it to themselves, but in your case you call jesus a 419ner. That's pretty bad. Must you tell us that you are an atheist, keep that to yourself and not publicise it. Rubbish. |

Oh thanks bro. I will keep trying. shadesofgrey: Hello,
My overall CGPA was 4.23, however, I had 4.85 in my last 2 years of study. I never bothered converting using the WES Scale. To be honest, securing a supervisor/advisor is a daunting task. I sent emails to several, got responses from few stating they weren't taking graduate students for the session, but I didn't let that deter me. I sent to a few more and eventually secured one. So, keep sending, ensure you tailor your message to their research. Focus on the summary of any publications they have, and when you secure one, you can read the publications in full to get a good grasp of their research. Thanks. |

Pls I would like to know what ur GPA both in Nigeria scale and WES scale are. I would also like to know if you have any publication cos am finding it hard to get a supervisor. I have no publication. shadesofgrey: Hello everyone,
This thread is quite resourceful, I must admit. I am posting this to encourage someone out there. The wait isn't easy, no doubt, but keep the faith, stay strong, above all...pray and praise! It may sound ridiculous especially when you see people who submitted way after you getting responses, trust me, just rejoice with them, key into that great news and watch God work for you. But I also need to mention this, do your research, be ready to know the "ins and outs" of visa application, even the bible says, "Study to show yourself approved..." Many a time, God wants you to take action, before He can begin to work for you.
Kindly see below my timeline:

Did u get the admission to GIST? Right now am planning to apply to GIST. I have my recommendation letter signed already and I have registered for TOEFL. I want to know if u get it so or not. So I can use ur experience. pompido: I hail all the bosses in the house most especially acadollar.
@Arnold: The first question is what program are you looking at? BSc,MSc or P.Hd? As far as i know, in GIST if admitted as an MSc student you automatically qualify for free tuition, monthly stipend amongst other things. If your CGPA is over 3.0 or 3.5 after the first semester, you can get additional scholarship. I have just completed my application process with GIST and gotten the final receipt number so awaiting application decision so I can give a few insights to the process for GIST as i have been following the school since 2008 while in school. I simply got my school to send my transcript to my office saying it is for employment purposes and paid for courier to make it faster. I then made copies, notarized the copies at the ikeja high court and sent to all the schools i applied to. Please do not use EMS for anything ooo. Instead use the regular Nipost mail or worse case scenario, the nipost registered mail (better to use the nipost office at international airports like MMIA in lagos arrival lounge). My Nipost registered mail to GIST took about 3 weeks to get there and the school informed me when they got it. It is actually required to write TOEFL so you really cant hide from that. Some schools actually request for a letter from your school's HOD as cover for your ability in english but better to confirm the exact requirements before you send your documents. GIST also has a matriculation fee of an equivalent of 70k -80k naira which can be waived if you get a letter from your HOD supporting the waiver and you also write an essay explaining why you should be considered for the waiver (I accepted to pay the waiver (even after they mailed me to confirm) because i hope that will allow them evaluate my credentials objectively without the bias of someone coming to depend completely on their opportunities. at least that is how i look at it for now and the money isn't that much compared to paying $12k ) I hope I have thrown some light on some of your questions. All the best in your endeavors.
@Acadollar: As you already know (from my comments above), I am looking at attending GIST for my M.Sc only (I no get time for P.Hd o) and would like to know what the economy is like in Cheomdan, Oryong-Dong Buk-Gu,Gwangju Area for an ICT person like me. it would indeed be helpful if you can enlighten me on what is obtainable in this area for computer networks and IT professionals in general after M.Sc programs |
