Scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (No offence intended Bro). I remember registering through a someone earlier this year for my TOEFL exam, but when it got to the time for me to obtain my result in PDF format, I saw a charge of 250$ or thereabout on my portal, I was shocked because I never ordered anything whatsoever, why this charge?!. I guess they registered me on credit and that can explain why the price of registration was cheap, hoping you fail or something.....abeg go and register yourself.

Becaus you fall victim doesn't mean there are no genuine discounted TOEFL and GRE register. I did GRE twice last year and TOEFL once. The second GRE and the TOEFL cost me only 80k (the 95k I wrote initially was the last price I was told when I want to register again). I also know people who did GRE and TOEFL at a price ranging from 40k to 50k last year. The only advise is to look before you leap and try to ask people questions. A lot of people have talked about @ponpon and I have heard of a guy Nonso which I have had a chat with before although, I have never registered with them before. All you just need is to research about them and remember not everything is a scam.

The only thing that matters is how someone wants to travel, o my scholarship is what you see .... really is that priority. You travel tomorrow and get covid as your journey through and die. Even if you get there today, get infected and die today, it is still better than getting infected in Nigeria. People are bound to die here sef with ot without corona. No social distance, no palliative, no basic amenities, etc. It is better to die for something (education) than to die for nothing in Nigeria. We all understand that there is nothing we can do but we wish things are different. I'm glad America figure is real but the hardest part is that you dont even know whether Nigeria figure is real or not. Every situation is being corrupted regardless of whether life is involve or not. Travel ban or not, these people still travel on daily basis to their desired location (perhaps they have multiple passports).

Please, let those who care not about corona death lament if they want to. As a matter of fact, you dont even know what they are passing through. The way we live here right now (in Lagos) will make you to doubt the existence of corona regardless of what figure is released. Afterall, who die one day with or without corona.

You can't waive application fee but it can be waived for you by the department/coordinator.

When I got my I-20 softcopy, the school gave me the option to wait till embassy is open before they sent the hard copy but I chose to have it immediately back in April. If you can ask the school to hold it till embassy opens and probably sent you softcopy, I think they will understand.

138 in quantitative for any Mathematics based course is too low IMO. That won't speak good of her. She should rather write GRE again and aim for higher Q score

Request for a soft copy of the i-20. It is highly uncertain there'll be interview for fall.

But work on your preparation for the interview. There's no limit to how much preparation you can have.


I am kinda confuse on when the embassy might open. During a nap yesterday, I saw a dream in which a large plane landed in a US airport. Then I saw buildings with a lot of students who look as though they are in new environment. I am the type who see things before they happen (though not always). I find it difficult to interpret this particular dream, so I will suggest to you and other students reading this, the embassy may open its door in a twinkling of an eye, with fast-processing visa procedures...and there may be fall resumption. Likely!
Just prepare yourself as though the embassy will open first week of July. But if they don't, you don't lose anything!

U only pay for I20 shipping and the price depends on the school. Some can send it free while for some you will pay for the express shipping. SEVIS fee is $350.

Although I read this but I have seen some universities that have concluded to have face to face class for Fall 2020. The problem I am seeing here is not the university but the embassy. If the embassies fail to open, there is nothing we can do. But I am still hoping the embassy will open before Fall 2020 and if that happens everything should be fine.

They sent me a copy of my I-20 and told me to select one of two option. One is to send it immediately and the second is for them to keep it till embassy open for business. I chose option 1 and I also have option of regular mail or express shipping (at my own expenses) and I paid for express shipping.

You can ask if they can send hard copy to you. But, I read somewhere that embassy has been advised to work with soft copy but I dont know how true it is.

You first multiply your CGPA by 4. Then divide your answer by 5.
=> 3.88*4 = 15.52
=> 15.52/5 = 3.104. US equivalent is 3.104/4 which in my opinion is good for most US schools
Formula: 3.88/5 = X/4
X = (3.88*4)/5

Your calculation is wrong. GPA conversion in not a direct calculation the way you did it. Just search for WES igpa calculator on google and calculate the GPA on a scale of 4.

Ok, I'm sorry if I did. I didnt mean to. All I was trying to say is that it is an A+ rated school - private and IVY league university. It is on the same level as Harvard and Yale. So, I expect that applicants to this particular school must have researched extensively about the school, sent several emails, aced TOEFL and GRE, evaluated their transcript (UPenn requires evaluation for all international transcripts) etc. Na wetin I mean be that
