Hello bro, wait till u get d award and everything will be stated in the award letter. Even if they will borne your transport expenses, you will probably get it when you get there and as for your family, scholarship hardly care about them. You are responsible for your family. What other program did you apply for apart from CNE and are you a first class graduate?

Today, 5:30pm...I just sat infront of my system, trying to compose my motivation letter and essays for Commonwealth shared scholarship.

My colleague Kay, whom we graduated the same year from same department messaged me on WhatsApp.

Kay: Guy....Check your mail

Me: I refreshed, I didn't see anything. My heart started skipping. Kay....wetin be that naa

Kay: Check am again. Na FAME+ Erasmus.

Me: My heart skipped again....Oh fccckk, Airtel network was just doing anyhow. I told him I didn't get any mail. At this point, he was scared. He said in his mind, my guy and I have got to study together in this program ( This he told me later sha)

Then I saw the mail, FAMe+ Admission. I opened it, with my heart in my mouth. I was just looking for the key word " Erasmus Mundus Scholarship". My sharp eye just detected it...Korokoro.....I was awarded the E+ Scholarship to study in the Functionalised Advanced Materials Engineering+ in at least two countries in Europe.

I went down on my knees... Screamed, shouted hallelujah countless time. I almost stripped my self unclad, but my younger sister was at home with me....

Glory be to God....Goodnews on a Tuesday evening. To state that AMASE preselected me to compete for the Erasmus scholarship pending the receipt of my official transcript from Nigeria ( NASU pipu ), and my third option, EM3E-4SW just sent me a mail to prepare for an interview next week. It's all God's doing....2 Nigerians in (Kay and I). I'll have to tag him in this thread..

To y'all still waiting for success mail, may God bring it to fulfilment...

Congrat. I would have apply for that em3e4sw but couldn't meet up because of distance between me and my school.

No cut your liver, they can only take 3 Pakistan and 3 Indians. Even if 1million of them apply.

I sent them my NYSC and my account statement, though on it, was my former address. Because on the ongoing strike, I couldn't get the attestation letter from my school. I sent them the trail of mail between me and the school, promising to get back to them once the strike is called off.

Concerning my info concerning MESPOM inviting applicants for interview, here's the response from the CEU admissions office.

Interviews are not an obligatory element of the MESPOM admission process. They are conducted at the direction of reviewers, usually to clarify or supplement information provided in written application. Whether or not you’re invited for an interview is not an indication of the outcome of the selection process.

Frankly speaking, I don't trust those people. Just get yourself ready for any outcome. That was almost the response I got from AMASE when I sent them a message on their Facebook page only yo get a love letter less than 24 hrs after. I am not demoralising you and I still wish you the best.

I have TOEFL certificate (96) and concerning my residency, I sent various IDs before my nimc card was accepted. What about urs (residency and English)??

Lol. I only knew what I am in for after I read on AMASE Facebook page that several hundreds applied last year. The unfortunate part is that I have sent my 3 application before then.

No mails from PlantHealth Erasmus yet but they have published a list of eligible applicants. Scholarship winners to be announced at the end of March.

hahahahaha...guys dey vex ooo. The truth is that some scholarships are only open when you resume at the school....so lets keep an open mind.

If you can risk it, just go.....some countries are affordable. Estonia is an affordable country.

Poland is affordable too but I am sure I won't pass the embassy if I go for the interview because I lack the financial capability when I was offered €24000 waiver last month. I don't want to join list of people that will give naija bad name. Fully funded is the only option regardless of the European country.

No. The major program I want to apply for require certification from the school or some official documents. I was unable to travel from Lagos to PH and the person I sent can't get it done because of NASU strike. The once I applied for including fame+ did not require does certification. They just require online uploading of original results.

For those who applied for FAME+

Selection and scholarship results would be out latest by February ending.

And for AMASE, the results would be out by march earliest...From previous years, middle of march to be precise.

God willing, we(Nigerians) shall be selected and fully funded.

I regret applying for FAME+ I just decided and apply few days to the application deadline when I can't get the needed certification from my school as a result of distance. Hoping something good come out of AMASE and CNE.

Nope. It's 1. Some courses accept 2 though it's very rare. 3 I have not seen

2 Nigerians were accepted to nuclear physics last year. And it was categorically said on most of d program site that maximum of 3 nationalities per program. The issue is that for some program, some nationalities don't have representative at all and for majority, many countries are under represented. Meanwhile, having many person from a nation that applied for a program does not mean all will reach the threshold.

There is no year that Nigerians were not given. It is just maximum of 3 person for every nation per program

You seem not to understand what I'm saying. Though it appears that a WhatsApp group will complement this thread, I am concerned about the effect it will have on the overall objective of this platform, as it definitely divert attentions away from it. The worst part of it is that a WhatsApp group can not effectively achieve the same purpose with an eye on sustainability.
It is therefore better we maintain this thread, at least for now that the shortlisting is not yet done.

Please don't mind them, is like so many Nigerians use to have some myopic view or certain selfish interest on issue. How will someone who will apply for PTDF next year get information if some people decided to hide it in a Whatsapp group that will still be filled with nonsense message including gospel and other bullshit.
