Just received my business awareness test invite today. I think it should be a situational judgement test like the one Standard Chartered Bank uses. The gave 18 questions and each one a business scenario, you will need to rank five options in the order which you will undertake them.

do you have any idea of what a psychometric test entails

i have researched on it, but no relevant results was found

Psychometric tests are basically aptitude tests that assess your skills for a particular job.
In our case we have written two; dragnet and essay... one is missing which is abstract reasoning, we will handle this during AC as a paper test containing sequences of shapes.

Don't know when the essay results will be out but our invigilator said no later than 3 weeks from the test date. If they haven't sent you a mail by then you can call KPMG human resources.

If indeed these are the questions KPMG asked, then it's a test one can scale easily. Give respect to Mckinsey's Problem Solving Test.

You need to be smart to scale the test, so many people walked out the door after failing. It's a skills based test so versatility is a huge requirement with speed, focus and accuracy inclusive. Some form of luck sprinkled on your head can also help if you believe that.

How many questions in how much time?

50 questions in one hour. I finished way before time, about 14 minutes left. Just be smart, mathematics was simple, basically algebraic equations and word problems. Current affairs from Nigeria and the world, sentence correction and logical reasoning.

i was invited for kpmg graduate trainee aptitude test slated for Jan 16 2015.
part of the requirements to bring along is original copy of O level result.

however, i am using a waec gce results in which the original result has not been released to me from the waec office.

please i need expert opinion on whether the normal printout i have with me will be accepted.

pls i need urgent responses. tomorrow is the test date

Yeah! You'll get your PPAs when u get your posting letter on your last day in camp.
Majorly teaching, pv8 n secondary schools, ministry and some useless private establishments where they use corps members like slaves...
The best place where u can serve in Yenagoa is a school.
I have friends who have school ppas, sec schls, they just teach from 12 to 2 (max) twice a week n that's all... n there re private establishments where you'll work from 7am to 7pm.
Why I'm giving this brief orientation is that when I just entered too, someone gave us some info abt Bayelsa, so it prepared me well n made me enjoy d adventure well well...
If you've not been dat used to water, you'll love water by the time u leave, cos even in yenagoa, we have yenagoa on land and across water...
No oil n gas job for corps members, it was said @ d orientation camp and it's true...

Nice, sounds like Bayelsa isn't so bad like people say after all. As the camp is usually flooded I doubt there'll be intensive exercises, running and standing for countless hours, lol.

I'm sure you've love Bayelsa as you probably might have learnt that 90% of Bayelsa is on water.
Drainage system is nth to write home about n the cost of living is kinda on d high side.
Cheapest moderate self-con in yenagoa is 120k.
If you get places like Brass or Southern Ijaw, where u might spend nth less than 2 hours on water with speed boat, there re nice corps lodges there buh network scarce small o...

Lemme gist u small about Kaiama camp... it's a temporary orientation camp, camp might be flooded already due to too much rain, cos my bro, my sis, Bayelsa is below d water table water does not really sink.
Please get ur rubber boots 4 reals.. u buy fancy boots, you're on a long tin.
Buy extra whites n socks cos what NYSC will give u, you'll be so shocked that at d end of week 1, u'll be using it as rag...
During our set, we had funny soldiers... come early if u want nice rooms.

The states of choice was just a full blooded scam. There is an unstable pop up on your dashboard that lasts for a fraction of a second that reads it is a PCM survey- We might not get our state choices. The question is that why didn't they say that from the beginning, we would have happily conducted a survey for them free. All we know now the posting is being rigged, so everybody call who you know at NYSC, posting actually began this morning. When they are satisfied they'll release it.
