It's quite difficult to believe we have undergraduate on this thread. I know the quality of education must of us received was below standard but seeing the level of ignorance in here shows Nigeria has a house on fire which is pathetic.
How will students not know that fg fund most state unis? How can students be ignorant of the labour union their lecturers belong to and the rules guiding their conduct and allegiance of membership? Na d problem i get wid dis examination malpractices be dis, uni kips on admitting academically inept students jus 2 kip d cycle moving.

Well i don't know d if any of d 2 should receive more dan d other but i sure know my early days teachers did a nice work in my life. However both should be well paid 4 d teachers 2 be properly motivated.

Its quite a sad tale when you take a good look at all these structures today. You will love Ife's structures when viewed from a considerable long distance but immediately you move closer to the building, the worn out paintings on the wall might make you throw up if you are faint-hearted let alone the cracks in the wall especially the East wing of the HO library. The campus is lush green and conducive for learning but the buildings are fast entering a state of deterioration.
I never knew Ife was a beauty to behold in time past until I visited Foto club in White House where I saw pictures of the campus in the 80"s.
Pls don't discuss the hostel.
