Sports › Re: Zambia, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia - AFCON 2013 Group C by solomon111(m): 8:57pm On Jan 25, 2013
I already knew that Ethiopia were the weaklings of the group.
Their draw with zambia did not convince me otherwise.
Sports › Re: Zambia, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia - AFCON 2013 Group C by solomon111(m): 8:50pm On Jan 25, 2013
CFCfan: Yeah, there is no way Zambia is going to beat them. That game will either end up as a Burkina Faso victory or a draw.
At this point, we all have to concede that the Super Eagles will end up in d 2nd position for the third successive AFCON.
Given the fact that Ethiopia will be down,NIGERIA should be able to wallop them silly (>3goals),and top the group.
I just hope zambia vs ethopia end in draw.

mukina2: \beat CIV with what team? bros easy o grin
The same CIV that have consistently lost to so-called inferior teams in the finals.
The day drogba and yaya toure retires,CIV golden era ends.
I just hope they win 1 AFCON.
Much greater teams than CIV have risen and fallen.

sambos994: It's called acting professional. On TV you don't want to look like an angry man.....you want to keep your cool and show that you're not derailed by anything. The NFF can handle the lambasting of the refs....let Keshi do his job.
is he more professional than Sir alex ferguson or mourinho.?
Rubbish.
Sports › Re: Zambia Vs Nigeria (AFCON 2013) (1 - 1) On 25th January 2013 by solomon111(m): 6:47pm On Jan 25, 2013
I don't know if i can blame the team.
Nigeria were the better side today and should have won but for the referee.
Yes mikel missed a penalty,but who dosen't?
Besides, he made up for it later by creating the assist that led to the goal.
This is just one of those matches, decided not by footballing prowress but by the referee's incompetence.
We should move on and rain goals on Ethiopia, cos the winner of this group will be decided on goal difference.
Sports › Re: Zambia Vs Nigeria (AFCON 2013) (1 - 1) On 25th January 2013 by solomon111(m): 5:51pm On Jan 25, 2013
The incompetence of arab referees continue at this mickey-mouse competition.
Culture › Re: Calabar Carnival No Longer About Promoting Our Culture by solomon111(m): 11:33am On Jan 25, 2013
Mad Cow: Calabar Carnival was never about our culture or Heritage...

Why Calabar cant have a canival that features all the Masquredes from all the communities in Cross River performing, hava a nice boat regatta on that waterway behind TINAPA and maybe mix in a little bit of the Carrebean flavor is still a wonder..

Seems all that they have to offer is simply t!tties..

Its Okay for Liyel Imoke to import stark n@ked Carrebean women with amazing t!tties and march them all over the streets of Calabar, NO PROBLEM!! but Wande Coal puts a local content t!tty on a music video and they ban it!!

stop deluding yourself.
Most of the matches have been boring.
It is not just ghana.
The quality of the AFCON has dropped, from what it used to be.

totalbaby: where is cameroon undecided grin
Didn't qualify.
They need to start rebuilding like Nigeria is doing.
They are too big a footballing nation, not to be at every AFCON as genuine contenders.

The group is still open,as far as am concerned.
Mali still has a great chance of qualifying.

vislabraye: Officials will make this tournament a disaster following their decisions.
The same way Togo's goal was cancelled.
Sometimes I taya for Africa sef. That's why Wenger called AFCON Mickey Mouse Tournament grin
The refereeing has been atrocious.
We should have won our first game,if the referee was as good as mark clattenberg.

staaari: We still have colonial mentality reading some comments here.!!

Nobody own this world, we all own it together.

We dont need OYINBO to validate our practices!!!!!

We should be able to think and act for ourself.

Now it took a goat arrested in Australia for us to believe our Osun Police were not acting stupily!

AFRICANS wake up! We can shape the world as we see fit.
True.
Unfortunately,we are too brainwashed to act otherwise.
It is Sad.

Are you happy the US has a military base in Africa?
Na wa o.
Foreign Affairs › Re: North Korea Nuclear Test Will Be Part Of Fight Against U.S. by solomon111(m): 5:35pm On Jan 24, 2013
Princess1982: Camp Lemonnier is in Africa however its a few thousand miles from Nigeria but its about the distance of New York to California and how long do you think it will take for the US military to reach that distance.
yes,it is in djibouti.
Well, anyday the US decides to invade Nigeria, then they 've made a costly mistake.
The rate at which our military will grow will dwarf that of iran.
We will just call back military scientists of Nigerian descent working in the US and Russia to help their fatherland develop devastating weapons.
You will probably start hearing 'death to america' on Nigeria tv stations.
Foreign Affairs › Re: North Korea Nuclear Test Will Be Part Of Fight Against U.S. by solomon111(m): 5:25pm On Jan 24, 2013
Princess1982: Please google it I guarantee there is one.
i checked it now.
It seems there is one in djibouti, east africa.
Smh.
Foreign Affairs › Re: North Korea Nuclear Test Will Be Part Of Fight Against U.S. by solomon111(m): 5:16pm On Jan 24, 2013
Princess1982: They don't have a base in Nigeria but your talking one country in Africa's many countries but Im sure there is a base close enough to reach Nigeria in less then a hour.
There is no US base in any of our surrounding nations or maybe even in Africa as a whole.
Foreign Affairs › Re: North Korea Nuclear Test Will Be Part Of Fight Against U.S. by solomon111(m): 5:08pm On Jan 24, 2013
Princess1982: I mean sit back and think there are no foreign military bases on US soil but yet the US military has bases in all corners of the world if China so call do wage war on the US the US would see it coming beside China owns 90% of our 16 trillion dollar debt I hardly think they would want to attack until they at least get back some of their money lol.
The US does not have base in all corners of the world.
They wouldn't dare.
They don't even have a military base in ghana let alone Nigeria.
Besides, america can be attacked without the presence of foreign military base on american soil.
Foreign Affairs › Re: North Korea Nuclear Test Will Be Part Of Fight Against U.S. by solomon111(m): 5:04pm On Jan 24, 2013
Princess1982: No the reason some countries aren't allowed to have nuclear weapons is because, there was a UN treaty that all countries was supposed to had signed the nations that already had nuclear technology before the treaty was signed were allowed to keep their nuclear weapons, however the countries that didn't have the technology could not try to obtain it and there was only 5 countries who had nukes before the said treaty was signed.
This is false.
SA and other nations had nuclear weapons, and the UN under the directive of america asked them to destroy it.

manny4life: If you don't know by now how Americans hype stuff up, then sorry for you....

What is there to read? I frequent news dailies, what is there to read?

Americans will definitely show their concerns even when it's really nothing, if it were that serious, you and I wouldn't hear about it...

Like I said, China has great economic influence that directly affects U.S. markets, more than 40% of China's exports is directly to the U.S., should U.S. corps find other cheaper labor elsewhere, China's economy is taking a huge hit. It has already started...Companies are shifting their focus.
well, they can never get a better deal than china.
If they can, they would have moved.
Foreign Affairs › Re: North Korea Nuclear Test Will Be Part Of Fight Against U.S. by solomon111(m): 2:26pm On Jan 24, 2013
gsalvatore: China is overated, their military is not organised as u may think. If China is tight as You said then they should have repossessed senkaku island from the Japs, all China does is Form world power(their economy is good but the military capabilities has a comma) when it comes to nuclear warheads, you think of Russia and US. If the "BiG" China can't get their island from the "Small" Japan then China is shit by my own standards. In Asia Japan is the biggest Power there. They are quite becos of the aftermath of WW2. No dey mention china here.
well, china has continued to dare america, and america has not responded.
Foreign Affairs › Re: North Korea Nuclear Test Will Be Part Of Fight Against U.S. by solomon111(m): 2:24pm On Jan 24, 2013
honeric01: yes, people over-rate them to the detriment of other countries. There are countries that will take America up anytime any day, you know them but people only talk as if the rest of the world are idling away while only America is building. Because Nigeria is clueless does not make others clueless.
Exactly.
Yes,we agree that the US is the most powerful in the world, but the technological/military gap is closing.
Foreign Affairs › Re: North Korea Nuclear Test Will Be Part Of Fight Against U.S. by solomon111(m): 2:00pm On Jan 24, 2013
manny4life: And you think China has nuclear capability? The ONLY real threat to America when it come to nuclear weapons is Russia --- FACT. That is what the START treaty is all bout - Reduction in nuclear arsenals of both nations.
Now this is ridiculous.
China does not have nuclear weapons?
What a joke.
Even SA had nuclear weapons, before they were pressurized to give it up.
Foreign Affairs › Re: North Korea Nuclear Test Will Be Part Of Fight Against U.S. by solomon111(m): 1:57pm On Jan 24, 2013
justwise:

Talk is cheap, what do you think that will be the outcome of the world war? Everyone of us will pay dearly for it, its easy to brag about war, American citizens will be more protected when the war starts than other African countries.

So lets calm down with this noise of world war and how China or Russia will perform magic when it starts.
I bet when nuclear missiles drones and sub-marines overshadow their land sea and airspace,we will see how protected americans claim to be.
Americans and their mis-placed sense of arrogance and confidence.
Rubbish.

Karismatik: pls let us not quarrel abt dis.
wat is obvious is dat most us dont kno d military capability of d US.
its even laughable dat DRPK wich i learnt her citizens r as poor as N/Sudanes, (if not more), r also ignorant of dis.
5times d nuclear might DPRK claim to hav achieved can't stand d US, besides, S/Koreans and China will always be obstacles to such attainment.
as 4 Iran, every iranian is aware dat, if let loose, Israel can wipe it out in a matter of days.
as 4 us in 9ja, let us pray 4 d fall of boko haram.
what is this nonsense?
