He was in prison then begging to be released and his wife was busy running from pillar to post b'cos of him,now he thinks he can talk to anyone b'cos Jonathan is the president. For his information Jonathan will not remain the president forever. MsheeewThere's nothing any president can do to asari as long as there's no proof of crime.. Asari was exercising his right to free speech. Anybody that touch asari will only be starting a fire that can and may engulf the entire nation. OBJ is a disgrace. |

Sorry, these projects are rubbish. What uduaghan should be creating with the huge resources at his disposal are light-rails,seaports,petrochemical plants, refineries,e.t.c. And all these projects can be PPP driven. Seriously, delta state should go and lobby for a pat utomi. Poorer states are doing far better than the present delta state. The mediocrity is just too much. |

philips70: Only one simple question I have for the supporters of this government move. Will the government of GEJ mandate all government parastatals and everyone in the presidency to use these cars or they will keep on buying the expensive imported state of the art cars with tax payers money and leave these ones for the impoverished masses? I could remember something like this was done with Leo Stan Ekeh's computers sometime ago. Is this not a country where most or all government officials live in mansions built with our money and drive exotic cars whilst public buildings and transport buses are left only for the downtrodden? Let them live by example and watch us follow them like zombies to do exactly same without anyone complaining. I have flown with a certain government official to Osubi airport in Warri before and on arrival 4 exotic cars were on wait to pick him up. This is a state official and your guess is as good as mine if he were a federal official. GEJ's supporters should try to be calming down and see where his critics are coming from before they go hard on them. This government have done close to nothing in curbing the excesses in governance but are quick to pull the belt hard on the ordinary people with policies that will never affect them. Bring change by example-simple!!!Many govt parastals and even private companies are already using the made in Nigeria vehicles as a matter of policy. GEJ has also promised to replace FG cars with made in Nigeria ones. |

adconline:Guy abeg go and sit down. If innoson and dangote are not breaking even, then i'm sure they won't be in business. Yes,electricity has been a problem, but then steps are being taken to resolve them. We can't just sit down and wait until we get 24hrs electricity. As the electricity privization scheme gradually begins to bear fruit, the cost of manufacturing the cars would reduce gradually. 1 Like |

scipher: they have the resources to empower the dude.. GEJ no send amyou can't just sit down and say' GEJ no send am'. He has to get himself up and contact the right agencies. I wonder what is stopping him from contacting the airforce if he is very serious. There's nothing he has done that is not been done already in Nigeria. There're accomplished world-class aeronautic engineers working with the airforce here in Nigeria. So i don't get what the noise is all about. |

all4naija: What are you talking about?! This is for his own good, to have better knowledge of aerodynamics beyond merely fabricating a toy to having to be with those who have better idea. I think even a sixth grader can do something like this in developed countries. So, it is good he accepts the offer from South Africa where he can be exposed to better working environment. He is still a Nigerian after all.Yes,he is a Nigerian, but as long as his talent is not helping Nigeria in anyway, then he is of no use to Nigeria. And the fact it's SA an economic rival to Nigeria even makes it worse. Btw,there are agencies in Nigeria like AFIT that require talents like his. I already told him how to contact them. |

One thing i know is that if Nigerians allows car dealers to influence them against this great policy, then we should stop fooling ourselves about how great we want Nigeria to be. It means we want to remain a poor nation with high scale unemployment and low industrial base. |

Omo_Tier1:Get out of here. Many of the roads on this thread are federal roads built/repaired under GEJ's tenure. GEJ has repaired and built more roads than all his precedessors. Nonsense. Nigeria can never be like somalia even without oil. The people are just too industrious and enterprising to allow the country descend to that abysmal low. Infact, agriculture is responsible for most of the country's GDP with the manufacturing sector steadily rising. We export manufactured goods throughout west and central africa. Our companies are buying out their rivals all over africa. How can you compare the only black nation in the world with an indigenous car manufacturing company with somalia.? Btw,Nigeria is probably the only african country with indigenous oil companies operating in the upstream sector. Many of these Nigerian oil companies are already taking over from the foreign oil companies due to the deliberate indigenization policy of the Nigerian govt, and they are already even exploring oil in other african countries. That shows the strength of those companies. In the next 5-10 years, all the major players in Nigeria oil sectors would be Nigerian companies. |

Raptor X: Nonsence!!! You guys are really ozzing self hatred, like it was aliens that was running Nigeria from amalgamation in 1914 to independence in 1960 and evenLook, you may choose to be sincere with yourself or hide your head in the sand. Nigeria has the innate potential qualities to be a superpower, not many countries has that including most european countries. What the country has been lacking is brilliant leadership which is a negative characteristic present in all black-ruled countries. If we had the same quality of governance that most white countries enjoy through their early years, with our huge human and natural resources, then super-power status shouldn't be a distant goal. |

A party that is hinged on whether buhari becomes president or not is very likely to fail at some point. I personally don't want APC to fail as i want a viable opposition, but then it dosen't change the fact that okupe is very correct with his assertion. |

osystein:I am being pragmatic and real. Yes,i agree. The evil effects of the arpatheid system owes partly to the whites, but then you can't deny that their superior infrastructure owes largely to the whites there. And No,Nigeria does not lack development since the democratic era. Yes,it is not developing at the highest pace it can muster, but it's developing. And yes,i think black nations tend to be poorly governed. Infact,i think Nigeria would probably be a superpower by now,if it were governed in its early stages by whites. |

Raptor X: A lot of you guys are sounding like the racist boers, who thinks all African countries are Poo holes except South Africa that was built by the whites. Go to youtube and read what the boers think of black Africa including Nigeria, and if Nigerians are so smart and hardworking why are you lot trying to get out by any means possible out of your wonderful country even to poor countries like Ghana.I'm not racist. It's the honest truth. And no,not all Nigerians are trying to leave. Infact the total number of Nigerians outside is not up to 10% of the entire Nigerian population in the country. Its just a case of moving from high pressure environment(NIGERIA) to low pressure environment(SA,ghana e.t.c.). And due to the fact that Nigerians have been able to adapt to high pressure environment, they tend to quickly take advantage of any economic opportunity available in the low pressure environment. Btw,stuffs like this are common in high-population countries. I'm sure you must know that Africa is littered with millions of chinese and indians, both legal and illegal. And i'm sure you can't give me any african country that can compare with china and india in any given strata of devt. 1 Like |

The obvious truth is that, whatever advantage SA has over Nigeria is all white legacy. The blacks there are just too lazy and retardded to create that kind of infrastructure or economy. That's the bitter and honest truth. Nigerians should be proud of themselves to an extent. 3 Likes |
