BlueRayDick:..... This is the exact problem here. I post something about Ozil, I hate him that's why I do that. Everybody loved it when he came to Arsenal. Honestly, it did a lot to the team's morale and brought back that fear factor since Igwe and Van Persie left, at least for a while. But is he the same player he was then? Clearly, he is not. He is longer motivated and he clearly doesn't like our new coach. I don't hate him but his attitude lately has been unprofessional and he has further gone up in hurting fans emotions. On his day, he is a destroyer but that day came only thrice or so last season. I know he wasn't happy about how he was treated by the country he played for and just maybe this is his own way of saying Fvck you to them but it has now gone beyond national team interest and now about Arsenal. .... About why I criticizing his choice of best man. I don't know if we are allowed to post links here but there was a story where Erdogan and his security team harassed American citizens in their own soil during a protest or something and Trump did next to nothing of course because the American government interests in Turkey. It might have been brushed aside by the government but American citizens haven't forgotten. Erdogan is also known for instigating hate for Armenians and several other horrible things. So, my fear is that the people might use this to get back at Erdogan. If we had a big market there already, it wouldn't have been any problem but since we are still trying to get in. It might be an obstacle especially since Europeans are already "crying" over it. We are saw how Mhkitaryan's issue became a big topic and need I remind you that Mkhi is Armenian too. ...This particular event is already on BBC, so it's definitely something. So bro, that's my fear on this matter. Nothing personal against Ozil. |
BlueRayDick:.....Lmao.....Can you imagine what a grown ass man just typed? Jesus Christ!! Is that what I have been saying? I blame myself for replying your mention after all I didn't mention or tag you or your lackey when I posted my opinion. .... It's alright, every man with his own thoughts. |
BlueRayDick:..... I am not interested in politics here or whatever you are bringing up. I already posted before that Turkey being part of NATO despite the records of human rights abuses is evident that governments are out for each other's interest. So, I don't know why you are still bringing up America being good or bad or Buhari's antecedents. We are appealing or marketing our products to the American fans not its government. It's the American people that will stream our matches and not its government. I don't care about Governments and their hypocritical nature. I am concerned about the American people that will see this and react to it which they already have. That's my point. Jesus, what is so hard for you to see here? ....If Ozil wasn't an Arsenal player, this won't be a topic because our club is not involved. Arsenal doesn't parade Messi or Ronaldo and even so, they are not exempted. There was a time, Ronaldo took a picture putting his leg on Budda's statue or something and Asian fans came hard on him. He had to apologise. Imagine if he hadn't, you want to tell me that wouldn't have affected their market in Asia? So, if the mighty Ronaldo is not exempted, who the Fvck is Ozil? And what makes you think his actions won't affect us or that it isn't anybody's business who he mingles with when Ozil is our Ronaldo in terms of Star power. And to make matters worse, Ozil's explanation was that US is bad too and you expect its citizens to take our club serious. What a fan you are. ...And to think that I thought you intelligent. |
kokaneprodigy:.... Imagine! Comparing a brand like Real Madrid with Arsenal or a club with unlimited resources like PSG with self-sustain club like ours. You guys will pull out anything to defend your MCM. If we had a owner putting his money in this club, perhaps this won't be a problem but since we don't, and we need to raise revenue from the very market this news will most likely affect us, then it's a problem. Someone is being reasonable, this one is saying emotional. I am only looking out for my club here not the deeds of another man wey no send me and wey I no send too. |
BlueRayDick:..... It is quite obvious you always sway away from the point of contention deliberately just to suit your narrative. Let me just indulge you on this. ... You expect fans to keep mute about the biggest player in their team clearly supporting a human rights abuser because he is free to do that and because America is bad? What sort of silly excuse is that?? It's like a company's biggest star ambassador supporting say a rapist or convicted murderer and you expect the customers of that company to keep mute because the said ambassador can do what he wants ( in this case, support this criminal). What sort of reasoning is that? .... This is beyond Ozil's action now but it's repercussions towards Arsenal as a football club, especially in the American market. So, advocating for this means that I see America as omnipotent or something? I posted my point isy that his actions do not help our cause in improving product sales in America and growing our streaming numbers there simply because he is our biggest star currently but somehow you have turned the argument to the fact that America is bad or Turkey bad or whatever. Ozil condemned the conduct against him by the Germans and openly said that US & UK is bad as well but he has yet to condemn the horrible things his best man has done. So, what does that make him? ... Anyway, this is your opinion but while you are looking out for your favourite player or one of favourite your players, my utmost interest is that of the club and not any player. By the way, good to know you are biased towards those you like.Good night bro. |
BlueRayDick:....Ozil is Turk regardless of the fact that his parents were born in Germany as well as him too. There is nothing wrong in claiming being Turk and if he decides to carry it a step further by being friends with the president despite who he is. I don't have a problem with that, that's why I deem the narrative of Abacha and his fans and America being good or bad as unnecessary. You are clearly intelligent so I don't want to conclude that you have comprehension problems, this is just a case of liking a player beyond anything. I don't have a problem with that either because of your previous bias towards other players you don't like in this very thread. That's who you are so no problem. ....Once again Pal, this isn't Erdogan vs them or America vs the rest of the world. It's the disrespect here by Ozil towards the people who pay his salary. The disrespect to fans of his and the club and the fans to be in America. Whether America is good or bad, the fact is we need their market. E.O.D. and Ozil's action is not helping and will not help that cause. That's the bone of contention here, Mr. Blue. |
BlueRayDick:....... You just confirmed today that you are an Ozil fan first before an Arsenal fan. It is quite disappointing to see a supposed fan who supports a club type something of this nature. ...... If you don't know who Erdogan is, then it's better you find out instead of embarrassing yourself by comparing Abacha and his fans to Ozil's current situation. ..... Arsenal brand is behind Chelsea and the others in Asia and far behind Man United, Chelsea and Liverpool in America. We are trying to break into that market because of their purchase power to increase our revenue generation because of the sort of philosophy we follow here. The UAE sponsoring us is already a serious red flag but when your biggest player is busy romancing with someone Americans see as a dictator and human rights abuser, you are seeking for trouble. The fans in Europe are already pissed talk more of those that are yet to receive our market. .....Erdogan knows that Turkey being part of NATO as a tool to curb Russia's influence on the Mediterranean is the reason the American government still overlook his antecedents there. Ozil either doesn't know that he is a tool used by Erdogan for his political gains or he knows and just doesn't care. His reply to the latest criticism that the US/Uk have done bad things and that goes in line in what you wrote up there shows the sort of person he is. Anyway, I don't care who he follows or he doesn't but Arsenal's biggest player affiliating himself with Erdogan doesn't do us any favours. It's a serious bad rep. It is best we do away with him and he can go do whatever he wants with his president. ... Arsenal do not need such negativity in such a critical time. |
sod09:...... The way fans dey para for am now eh. We are still trying to raise our awareness and improve brand in America and now this?? Fly Emirates isn't enough but our star player is friends with a dictator who let his security team harass and assault American citizens in their own soil. Kai! this one na real bad rep. Make them sell that guy by all means even if we pay some part of his wages. He has to leave now before he spoil market for us. |
“Turkey's Erdogan is best man at footballer Mesut Ozil's wedding” .....Damn! Ozil is not helping himself here at all. People will surely comment more on this other than the fact that he actually just got married. Fans are damn pissed about this. .... Anyway, happy married life to him. |
Fkhalifa:....Lol. Bro, I know you are disappointed and distraught currently especially the manner the old board and manager mismanaged the team's finances, making the sacrifices of those players who were sold because of stadium debt and to bring us amongst the elite seemingly wasted. It is extremely frustrating to see us move from Viera to Xhaka; from Eboue to Niles; from the great defense of George Graham to this current leaking one; from Pires to Iwobi and from Clinical strikers in Van Persie and Igwe to wasteful ones in our current squad. It is painful and sad to watch us capitulate especially in finals, from Mancity's thrashing at the league cup to Chelsea's merciless beating at the recent UEL final. It is heartbreaking to see Tottenham in the finals of the biggest club tournament in the world, playing with their hearts on the pitch while we watched our team destroyed and our star player cussing his team mates and coach. ..... But we will rise again. We still have thirteen league titles, thirteen fa cups and a total of thirty cups won, only behind Liverpool and Manchester United who both have forty-two each. Raul was one of those behind the rebirth of Barcelona, together with Pep and he has another Spanish coach in Emery who is hungry to do build something with Arsenal. It will take time but we top the league again. I won't give up on this team and I hope you will give Emery the benefit of the doubt this season to set things right. |
Fkhalifa:....Just to add to what Roland17 has posted: ....Like I said we are not a big club anymore at least amongst the top four in the premier league. We haven't won the league in over a decade; we just qualifed for our second European final in thirteen years. Compare that to our rivals except for Tottenham and see that we cannot compete at all. Chelsea, Man United and City and even Liverpool can buy players at will and even it doesn't work out, they can still sell at good prices. Look at Liverpool and how they sell players. Take Solanke for example, who was sold for a ridiculous price but if it were to be us, he would have gone for nothing less than 7 or 8m. For Chamberlain of all people to be our record sale just shows you how terrible we are at selling. ....The Owner doesn't put in any money and yet the old board buy players who go for huge losses or sometimes for free and you wonder why we can't spend like the rest of the big teams. If you are the owner of a club like ours, honest to God, will you continue to put in money through KSE and see little or no investment in return. We bought Perez for 17m and sold him for 4m. Wilshere was a loss, Ramsey went for free, Welbeck went for free, Coquelin and Gabriel were little profits in investment, same with Sanchez. These are players that if were sold at the right time and money invested properly would have significantly improved the squad. ....So, we make losses off investments, we do not have the revenue generating strength of our rivals and we have also failed to win major trophies for years and finally, have failed to qualify for the champions league for years now and you honestly expect us to buy players of over 50m to replace more than six to seven positions in order for us to compete. Where would that money come from when our best players are worth 160 - 170m max? I am referring to Xhaka, Laca and Auba and obviously, we can't sell all three. The rest of the squad save for Bellerin won't bring up to 80m if all starting eleven are sold because of their huge wages. It's hard to accept but right now, regardless of listings on whatever sites, we are no where near Man United, Chelsea, Liverpool and especially Man city. They are leagues ahead of us in revenue and brand. Forget the fact we are owned by a billionaire, that isn't worth anything. |
.....Some of the fans here have refused to believe that we are no longer a top 4 club and our current squad is Europa League level at best until we do a major overhaul. We are losing revenues the more we stay out of Champions League. Tottenham made over 100m for getting to the final and we made less than 25% of that going to the Europa final. The difference is simply huge and this same team can sell about 4 quality players in their team that will bring them about 200m should they decide to sell. The same cannot be said of us. ....We can't afford huge fees for players because we don't have the money and there are just too many positions to be filled. Get these players, since they are young. If it works out, all good. If it doesn't, we can still sell for a good fee because of their age. Besides, using YouTube to judge players can be misleading. Xhaka looked like Alonso when we did that before arriving here but now we know that similarity is not true. Getting to the champions league is the goal and getting a defender who was second to one of the best midfielders in the seria a last season in terms of completion of long balls forward is a very good start. |
sod09:.....Lmao...this guy ![]() ..... Like I said before, the club has a vision now and they are pursuing it vigorously. Lyunberg will bring in top talents from the academy and help to merge them with the big boys. It's very important for our philosophy to work. Bould will return to the youth team where he was hugely successful before moving up. It's a win - win for everybody. |
sod09:....I don't think it's Anderssen preferring Milan, report is out saying that the Club's president is delaying the sale because he wants a coach in the club first before authorizing any sale. Same thing that happened with Torreira when he said he would be joining after the world cup. ....I think we should sign a contract with Saint- Etienne requesting the player's services once we are in need of him, thereby terminating the loan. That guy is too good for us to let him go..... ....Inter Milan is yet to place any bid for Xhaka. Fingers crossed, let's see what happens though. |
Fkhalifa:.... Bellerin won't be back till November and even at that, it will take a while for him to return to form and there is tendency that he might not be the same player again. Niles shouldn't even be starting for Arsenal, he should go on loan. The guy loses concentration too much and he is just too lackadaisical in his play. He single handedly destroyed us in the second half of the final. Currently, we have no right back so one is urgently needed. ....We must not sell Auba for any price now, he is the scorer Lacazette will never be. If one of them should go, it should be his other partner except his new wages can't be reasoned with. Age won't count against Auba, as most elite strikers are still top level even in their thirties. .... Carrasco looks he is coming but no announcement of bids yet from our end although he said in a conference that he is leaving China for another club which might be us or it's agent talk. Maurice is coming and together with Carrasco, we have two wingers already, not mentioning Nelson too. I think that should be enough for the new season. If Xhaka leaves for Inter, we might see another centre back come in or another midfield player. .... Forget Mendy, if Lyon decides to sell, Madrid will get him. We can't compete with those clubs in terms of money. Apparently, we are looking at Tierney from Celtic and Lyon too are eyeing the young left back in case they sell Mendy. It's very unlikely that we will get a marquee signing this season as we have too many positions to fill in. Saliba from Saint- Etienne is also on the cards, apart from Anderssen. Emery wants to change the entire defense with Kolasinac looking to be sold. |
Fkhalifa:....Bro, we have already submitted a 50m bid for Anderssen and Praet, both players playing for Sampdoria, that's a CB and a midfielder and we have also up our bid for the Lorient winger, Claude- Maurice from 7m to 13m. ....Good business from out board if you ask me. Apparently, we want to buy before selling. We are also looking at PSG's right back - Meunier too. Raul and his team are dead serious about their plans.. ....Auba is a far better striker than Lacazette but if he wants that sort of money which I doubt then he should be sold to China, shaperly ![]() ... What do you think? |
Fkhalifa:.... Exactly, but they can't score all the time which is why you need someone else to do that when that happens but sadly there isn't one at present now. Hopefully, we will get at least one winger this summer. .... That annoying attitude of theirs has reduced na, after that disgrace at the final, shame no go let them do any stupid stuff for now. |
sod09:....I don't think they are scrap bro. Robertson would have been seen as scrap but today he is a champions League winner. Let's see what Emery can do with these players should they sign for us. |
Arsenal have reportedly submitted a combined offer of €42m to Sampdoria for Belgian midfielder Dennis Praet and Danish defender Joachim Andersen. At the moment, Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero is not satisfied by the offer. [@tuttosport via @PianetaMilan] #AFC .....Mehn, Arsenal just dey vex with formal bids everywhere.... from Claude-Maurice to Youssef to this one. Emery is damn serious about putting new players in the team. |
Fkhalifa:.....There are posts here that I expect someone of your calibre not to reply to. You just overlook them and move on. ....Now, I don't agree with the bolded. Arsenal had 21.5% conversion rate for last season, the highest and deadliest of any EPL team in the league. So, while our strikers miss unexplainable sitters, they are not the problem. The problem is that they are the only one scoring with Ramsey far behind their goals with six goals. Imagine that Bellerin who was injured months ago was still up there with one of the highest assists in the club last season with six assists which says a lot about our attacking players especially one Oloriburuku that thinks he is still invincible. ....If Salah and Mane are not scoring, Van Dirk or Firmino or Origi or someone else will the do the scoring, same with other big teams in the league. I am glad we have put in a formal bid for one tall leganes striker like that; he can dribble and can actually head the ball well. But we also need a good crosser of the ball too. We need a different outlet in case both strikers are not doing the job or perhaps one of them is leaving. |
ColtPython:..... Emery's tactics is why he had two assists all season behind two world class strikers?? He stayed with Joginho and yet the man had one of his best games this season, spraying passes and even tackling sef. ...This is the first time this season Ozil was told to hold to a player, just one game because a lot was at stake and yet he failed at his job and started cussing his coach and fellow players when leaving the pitch. The attitude he displayed was disgusting and completely unprofessional by all standards. If Ramsey or Mkhi was available for that final, Ozil would never have started. He will leave this summer by all means as he is no longer useful to the club. Such a shame. |
Fkhalifa:..... Should this happen then you can't blame him but the board. He is not in control of transfers like Wenger. Personally, I believe we will see a lot of youths in our set up next season. The very words of Emery himself; “Our idea is to continue to carry on and improve with the young players that have arrived,” Emery said. “Maybe some players need to leave but it’s not the moment to speak about that.” ..., Player sales will most likely determine the success of this transfer window. Laca has been dropping hints lately about leaving and now with no champions League, he might leave. Arsenal will surely not refuse a 75m bid for him. |
MrDojo:.....Lol, It's clear that the Rams are Kroenke favourites but while he doesn't spend on Arsenal, he also doesn't take from the club too so it's balanced. He is not to be blamed for where we are today but the old board. .... Yes, Man United will spend but they are a club without direction or vision so no worries there. Chelsea has a ban and will be without hazard next season, they will be a new team and with a new coach too. For us, we now have a model and we know what we want now. I see us qualifying for champions League next season else Emery will be sacked, that's what at stake right now. ..... For now, we are far behind Chelsea and might be behind Tottenham too should they win the champions League. |
sod09:...Lol, that's why we are going after South American players now and targeting young players in the french league. Maurice whom we have already placed a failed bid for and one young tall defender like that comes to mind. Both players won't cost us up to 40m before player sales. This new board know what they are doing. |
Fkhalifa:....Bro, at the moment, Tottenham and us no be mate. See, this team has limited players who are even average in the first place and that doesn't help the coach in tweaking plans. Once, our midfield was getting overrun, as a fan, Look at our bench and tell me the player you would have brought in to strengthen the midfield. Look at Kante who was not 100% fit, bullying us and running nonstop while Torreira looked like he wanted to faint. Our players are either too lazy or don't have the strength anymore or don't have the intelligence required to play football. .....Ozil showed the whole world what he was truly made of yesterday, no sane person can tell me he has anything to give Arsenal anymore. If we had Mkhi in his place yesterday, that match could have been different but then we have two strikers who miss sitters too. .... Both strikers playing together will surely stop next season if at all they are still here. ...Bro, forget that thing. We can't afford those players especially with the fact that we are not in the champions League. We will surely make signings to cover our weaknesses but I can bet you most of those signings won't be known names. We are going after unknown players now unless we sell one of our strikers for big bucks. |
sod09:.....City has bottomless resources, I am not comparing us with them nor Liverpool whose major spending come from selling players. My point was that the money we have spent the last six years and the potential money we would have gotten if we had made better decisions regarding selling players would have built a far better team than we now parade. That was my point and not comparing our spendings with Liverpool or city of all people. |
MrDojo:....Lol... hilarious. You guys keep saying this thing that Kroenke don't put in money and all that but how much has Liverpool owners put in the club Bro, check how much we have spent the last five to six years and ask yourself if it isn't enough to build a quality team. Kroenke isn't involved in the day to day activities of the club and employed people for that role. But what did those in power do with our money and how did they raise money too?.... Liverpool sell players for good prices and reinvest because they have a working board and a philosophy which Klopp is following. The board buy players and they have a wonderful scout system but ours is nothing to write home about. Wenger had too much power and wouldn't sell his players unless the ones he didn't like or when the club really needed to raise money. If we had made better decisions with both sales of players and buying and also with team management, I assure you we would have won at least two league titles in the last seven years. ....The new board know this and are trying really hard to overturn the mess of the previous board. It will take time but at least we have a direction now. Liverpool had a plan and stuck with it, we had a failing system but instead of restarting we decided to continue and now, look at where we are today. I just wanted to correct this notion that Kroenke doesn't spend, not his fan at all but that isn't the problem of the team. |
Jodera:.... Exactly, I love this write up. Imagine Iwobi in Kolasinac's space yesterday, peak Sanchez or Zaha or a decent dribbler with a good shot on him. We would have buried that match. We played well in the first half but Sarri urged his midfield to increase the tempo of the match and our slow midfield couldn't keep up. Torreira was gasping for breath like he wanted to die which shows how unfit our players are. Which is why Emery mentioned that we need stronger and more Athletic players. .... Right now, the board is setting up a model/ philosophy with the imminent appointment of Edu as football director so that in case Emery gets sacked tomorrow and another manager's comes in, he will continue with the model of the club and not the other way round. Wenger's role is no longer available in the club anymore, power is now being shared and so there's immense pressure on the manager to deliver. ...Bro, our academy hasn't produced enough quality in the years since Wilshere. Willock and maybe Nelson are the only ones worth talking about. Saka and Amaechi are not ready. I just want to see the pressing and swift movement of the ball common with Emery's team next season. We played like that early last season but we couldn't continue as we didn't have the players to properly execute it. One thing I am glad about all this is that we now have a new direction with this new board. Coach may come and go, but the model will stand just like Dortmund. |
.......We are still linked with Rabiot and why I don't like him, we badly need someone with his abilities; someone who can hold the ball under pressure and recycle possession intelligently. We don't have any in the team, closest to that in our team presently is Guendouzi and he is still learning the trade. Since Rabiot is free, it will give us room to spend on other areas especially the defense. We need a left back and a Centre back badly. Kosc might not be getting an extension and Mustafi might be sold. ....I don't see Chambers getting sold and should we get Maurice, Nelson will surely get game time. One of Mhki and Ozil will leave if not both and also, one of the strikers will leave too. I don't see any of them not playing in the champions League for another year. |
pazienza:....Bro, if he had started Iwobi in place of Ozil and we get trashed, fans and pundits alike would have murdered Emery. I am glad he started the ghost yesterday and everyone got to witness his absymal play and equal attitude yesterday when he took all the time in the world to come off the pitch despite the fact that his team was behind. I am happy the Arsenal management team, Raul and co. saw this live and the overall display of the team. Surely, even without Emery saying anything, they already know the players to sell. ....We have been linked with so many South American players lately and one failed bid at Alexis Maurice from Lorient, whom I am not excited about but it shows the board is trying to get the players we lack such a winger/AM in Maurice's case. |
iPopAlomo:.... Emery is the what now ..... Bro, we have the lowest quality players in the top 6 and the worst midfield in the top 13 in the league. We shipped 51 goals even with defensive signings. Arsenal has been falling for years now but it's all just coming out in the open now. ....Benitez and Simeone do not play the arsenal way, you don't pick managers anyhow. You pick managers according to the DNA of a club which is why Liverpool went after Klopp after sacking another attack minded coach in Rodgers. Personally, I wanted Klopp but Arsenal decided to stick with what was dead and let that opportunity pass them by. ... Emery has his blame but for me, this is the worst crop of players he has ever assembled in a top team before and he still did well in his first season. No coach can do anything with these players and until we rid the club of them which will take at least four transfer windows, we are going nowhere. .....Get Emery his desired players and judge him after that, not based on another manager's players. I am in support of him and I am really eager to see what he will achieve next season. He did well in fighting for top four and reaching the UEL final, let's see what he accomplishes next season. It's too early to say he is the problem of the team, too early friend. |
.....A complete disgrace.....
