Romance / Re: Silliest Thing You've Ever Done To Get A Guy's/girl's Attention? by solowork: 5:32am On Nov 30, 2013 |
EmmanuelIbeh: Hahahahahahaahaha. I've done a lot to get a gal attention but I think the highest one is the day I met a gal in a car park. I've already boarded and I was in the bus when she came. She was very beautiful, so I had to get her attention at all cost. Then came the opportunity. She bought a pure water sachet and drank half of it. As soon as she was about to throw it away, I reached out to her and I told her to please give me the remaining water. I gave her an excuse that I had 1 thousand naira note so I couldn't buy pure water. She gave it to me and was expecting me to clean the mouth befre drinking but I drank it without thinking. That was how we started talking. Foolish right? U no holy pass What do you mean foolish? That was smooth as hell. |

Culture / Do We Have A Tipping Culture In Nigeria? (In restaurants) by solowork: 9:45am On Nov 28, 2013 |
I know the US and Canada have a strong tipping culture, where you are expected to give a tip of approximately 15% of your total bill after tax. You may even tip up to 20% in cases where you had exceptional service. In UK, no one expects you to tip because the waiters are well paid. In Malaysia, patrons hardly tip but the waiters wish they would. I never had to eat out in Nigeria so I don't know what it's like back home. I want to know from working-class Nigerians, who spend most of their day at work and therefore have to eat at restaurants, if there's a tipping culture? |

Health / Re: What Can I Do To Reduce The Sugar Content In My Blood? by solowork: 7:54pm On Nov 22, 2013 |
I see a lot of people here suggesting that you exercise and avoid sugar. But as a medikal docthor I'll tell you that those things will only increase your blood sugar level even more. You should do the following: 1. Get two boxes of St. Louis sugar and chew the shit out of those cubes. Make sure you finish it or it will not work. The idea is to combat the sugar already present in your blood stream with the new intake. They eventually obliterate each other and voila!...you're sugar free. 2. Sit on you ass all day and don't do shit. For best results, just stare at any fucking screen you can find (Tv, computer, phone....) all day. Good health to you. |

o`dave: I'm happy they won. I just want others to be happy for us too, because I feel it'll be good for their careers if the world is rooting for them. And the world can't root for them if they are irritated by them. |

o`dave: I don't know how the Europeans celebrate and I don't care for them, really. Why do we have to be Europeans to behave? I thought respect was an African thing. Of course, i'm the one with a warped mentality. |

Niyinficient: Actually I ALWAYS had a great life. Then I traveled abroad and I had a shitty life because i had too much energy for the people out here. Then I learned to "do as the Romans do" and now my life is back to awesome. |
Sports / Re: Describe Golden Eaglets In One Word? by solowork: 11:48pm On Nov 08, 2013 |
Chemical Mallam: YES! I probably would. But i'd hope that someone older will advice me to turn it down a notch so I don't carry the same attitude into adulthood and abroad where it is frowned upon. You see how sour Adebayor's relationship is with his former colleagues at Arsenal after that covert celebration of his Man city goal. That's not good for business. |
Sports / Re: Describe Golden Eaglets In One Word? by solowork: 11:25pm On Nov 08, 2013 |
tonididdy: Of course, the insults. I was winning, celebrating with and praising them, until Alampasu did what he did with the ball and also when the boys started shouting on the podium in front of the officials. You can shout and run around the field and be happy and somersault. But PLEASE behave when you're standing in front of Sepp Blatter. |

flinsburg: Baad belle like u, hav u won any international silverware before at a young age? Ingratial nagging fool , will anything ever please u? You can insult me all you want. All i'm saying is that the WORLD wants to root for Nigerians and they want to see us succeed. However our cocky attitude is somewhat of deterrent and we miss out on too many opportunities. No one is happier for them than I am and this is only one of the MANY good things that have come of of Nigeria recently. I just don't want us to ruin it all with our own hands, because of our attitude. If you watched the closing ceremony, you may have noticed how irritated the FIFA officials were with our boys because of their disrespectful behavior. Let's wait until we are a world power like the US before we start to create too many enemies for ourselves. They're already beating us with sticks in India. |

Positives: Talented Cohesive Strong Negative: Annoying (Alampasu's taunts, the excessive and unnecessary dancing and yelling as they received their medals) Obnoxious (tacky celebrations, rubbing it in... very unsportsmanlike.) But congratulations to them. 6 Likes |

Sports / Did "Jay-jay Okocha Ever Get The International Recognition He Deserves? by solowork: 2:02pm On Oct 25, 2013 |
I was just watching some old clips of the Legend in action, and i can't help but think that he was painfully underrated. His individual honours only include awards specific to Nigeria and Africa. His only international individual honour is being named one of FIFA's 100, which in my opinion, is a little understated for a player of his calibre. What do you think? Here are two of the heavenly montages: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJCssvlcyps https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F33nBKb8Pf8 |
