There's a difference between a Convict Prison and a Satellite Prison. The Convict Prisons houses both Awaiting Trial and Convicted Inmates while a Satellite Prison houses just Convicted Inmates having between 3-12months left on their imprisonment sentence. The Satellite prison also serves as a Farm Centre where inmates do farm work daily till their prison sentence is completely served
