When God began with His people, He didn't ask
them to build temples, He wanted to live in them.
God wants to live in individuals who posses their
bodies in sanctification and honour. But a point
came when emphasis was shifted to physical
structures, people began to build great edifies for
God. The same structures that was presumed to
be house of God was rather business premises.
Jesus entered the temple and He could not find a
space in the temples, they are now places of
merchandise. People that filled the temple were
there for serious businesses and personal gains.
How these attitudes of men compare to
present day practices in the house of God!
Unguarded prosperity gospel has brought into the
house of God, people with business pursuit as
their main objectives. The blessings of God are
quantified by the level of physical materials at
one's disposal. This is quite unfortunate when the
people of God can only be identified by external
things that rarely have eternal value.
By their fruit 'not result' you shall know them is
the scriptural parameter for assessing God's
people but they have transferred attentions of
men from fruit to results. The scriptures
underlined the essence of fruit, because every tree
bears fruit of its kind. If the tree is good, the fruit
will inevitably be good. When it comes to results,
they are many things you can do to get results.
Therefore, riches and poverty are not tickets to
heaven.
The den of thieves; if you are in Church to seek
any other thing ahead of genuine salvation, you
are a thief. If you preach another gospel in the
house of God other than Christ and Him crucified,
you are a thief. If you promote anything in the
house of God ahead of holiness and sanctification,
you are a thief. If you preach prosperity, healing
and deliverance to people who are yet to be
convicted of their sins and turning to Christ for
their salvations, you are a thief. If you collect
offering and tithes from men of reprobate mind in
the house of God, you are a thief.
A careful understanding of several aberrations
and serious perversive teachings in the houses of
God, you cannot but appreciate why Jesus
concluded that most of these temples have been
turned to dens of thieves. When the Jews come
into the house of God, they start looking for
signs. The Greeks are desperate for intellectual
discourse in the house of God but our priority is
to preach Christ and Him crucified. Mathew 24:14
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached
in all the world... Then the end shall come.

Some youths under the aegis of Northern Youth
Forum on Saturday donated N2 million to
President Goodluck Jonathan to purchase his
presidential nomination form.
The Coordinator of the forum, Engr Bello Bichi,
announced the donation at a rally in support of
President Jonathan in Kano.
He said the decision to donate the money was
borne out of the forum’s resolve to support the
re-election bid of the president under the platform
of the PDP in 2015.
‘’We decided to support Mr President with this
token amount to enable him purchase the
nomination form for the presidency.
‘’The youths in the north believe that President
Jonathan has the country and youth at heart in
view of his commitment toward transforming the
country,’’ he said.
Bichi reaffirmed the commitment of youths in the
north to support President Jonathan’s ambition
for the second term.
He called on the president not to relent in his
effort toward ensuring peace, unity and
development in the country.
In his remarks, the Minister of Education, Malam
Ibrahim Shekarau, charged youths in the country
to avoid acts capable of causing chaos during the
forthcoming general election in the country.
‘’Gone are the days when we should take up
dangerous weapons during the election.
‘’As youths, you are expected to conduct your
affairs peacefully, especially during election in
order to ensure peace in our state and the
country.
‘’We have a herculean task ahead of us, so you
have to come out en masse and vote so as to
ensure the success of the party at all levels in
2015,’’ he said.
He commended the youths for the gesture and
assured them that the federal Government would
continue to come up with programmes aimed at
improving their socio-economic status.
‘’The president had wanted to come and grace
this occasion personally if not for some pressing
national matters,’’ he said.
Also in his remarks, the Minister of Youth
Development, Mr Boni Haruna, said the donation
was a clear indication that Northern youths were
in support of President Jonathan’s bid to re-
contest the presidency in 2015.
NAN reports that the occasion was attended by
prominent personalities including Minister of
Foreign Affairs, Alhaji Aminu Wali and the Special
Adviser to the President on Political Affairs, Prof
Rufa’i Alkali, among others.

Ephesus rejected has suddenly become
