ikaboy:8 KEY projects |

Na so. Edited: I think Obaseki's Edo Best project should be replicated across Nigeria. So that we don't produce more of those people commenting below that it was only 8 Projects Obaseki did in 4 years, when the article title clearly states: 8 KEY Projects.... |

I must admit that the APC/Ize-Iyamu social media/Nairaland team is doing a great job of posting anti-Obaseki news. I just got into Lagos from Benin, where I spent about 5 days. From what I saw in Benin and the interactions I had with the residents, there is absolutely no way Ize-Iyamu can win the forthcoming elections without manipulations. The news that the APC team keeps posting on Nairaland is effective to make their followers to feel good, however, it is no reflection of the reality in Edo State. |

Lets hear your views. |
Youthful music artiste, Rema, won this year's "Next Rated Act" at the Headies Award that held last night. The award comes with a car prize. The nominees in that category included: Joeboy, Fireboy, DML, Victor AD, Lyta, Zlatan and the eventual winner - Rema. Reading comments expressed by some music enthusiats online, some expressed reservations about the award going to the "Dumebi" crooner. According to some of the commentaries, the artiste Fireboy, was more deserving. This is not the first time that a Mavin Record artiste would the subject of indignation by some music enthusiasts who believed that another nominee was more deserving of the award. In January 2016, Reekardo Banks won the year's edition of the Next rated Act category at the Headies Award. Some Nigerian music fans felt some other artistes on the nomination roll were more deserving. The dissenting opinions led to one of the most celebrated offensives by the CEOs of two of Nigeria's biggest record labels - Don Jazzy of Mavins Record and Olamide of YBNL. That year, the nominees for the "Next Rated Act" award included then fledgling artistes such Lil'Kesh, Koredo Bello, Cynthia Morgan, Kiss Daniel and the eventual winner, Reekardo Banks. During the award show, Olamide flared up, and in no uncertain terms, decried the organizers for not crowning his artiste, Lil' Kesh, as the most deserving for the award. Like Olamide, many music fans expressed similar sentiments. The "Next Rated Act" awarded is given to the most promising upcoming act in the year under review. Years down the line, would you say the judges of the Headies Next Rated category have been justified by given that award to Reekardo Banks? Would Rema justify his choice as the Next Rated Act?
