Car Talk / Re: Rolls-royce: See How Its Production Could Be Adversely Affected By Brexit by solutionist: 11:44am On Jan 16, 2019
Only 8 per cent of Rolls-Royce parts are produced in the UK. As such, the company imports roughly 32,000 parts from more than 600 global suppliers to build its vehicles. The company undertakes 35 truck journeys across the English Channel per day to ensure production runs smoothly.

Education / Computer Science Lab In UNIBEN: Before & After Photos by solutionist: 11:24am On Dec 20, 2018
Last weekend, ex-students of the Department of Computer Science, UNIBEN – Class of ’98 – donated items such as desktop computers, UPSes, computer network infrastructure, furniture, lab equipment, etc to their alma mater.

The initiative was part of the 20th anniversary reunion of the set.

The donation was received by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), Prof. Pius Iribhogbe, who lauded the gesture of the alumni. Iribhogbe, who represented the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Farraday Orumwense, said the role of the alumni couldn’t be overemphasized as the body had continued to play a huge role in the development of the institution through their various donations.

The Head of Department (HOD), Computer Science, Dr. Dawodu and a former HOD, Prof. Emmanuel Onibere, commended the efforts of the members of Class 1998 for remembering their alma mater and supporting the department with computers and furniture.
