I am praying Rohr open up camp for all these players so they can all get to show what they can do. It would be painful leaving behind those we actually need out of fear of the unknown.

As far as I'm concerned,Onyekuru is the only player other than Moses Simeon that has a real chance of making the world cup list...the rest might get a look in the 35 man list... Rohr doesn't seem very keen on the Belgian league I think...remember Anderson Esiti was having a good season there for long before he was called up and eventually dropped... Kalu,Olayinka,Bonaventure and Ajagun have been in good form this season but they haven't been called up... that says something.....

Good to know there are people here who take correction and ready to adjust. Life is a teacher, we learn everyday. I prefer those who bluntly point out my errors for correction than those who don't. I will only grow under positive criticism and not under praises and 100% tolerance of my viles.

This is so bias and wouldn't help the parties involved become better. With all due respect, this is so wrong!

Good one, even in the olden days eagles we saw how Onigbinde gave 22 years old Stephen Keshi with few caps captain band at afcon 84 at the expense of Muda Lawal who marked 5th afcon appearance.

The same thing happened under wonder boy Paul Hamilton who preferred Andrew Uwe as captain over Keshi in 1987 during afcon and Olympics qualifier in 1987/88 though Keshi just came back after long absence but Uwe still retained his captain band.
That's just it bros.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by somehow: 7:36pm On Apr 17, 2018
BTW, most of what you typed here are assumptions.

Neymar started playing for Brazil NT in 2010 and has 53 caps while Dani Alves started since 2006 with 107 caps. He was once their captain too. The coach decides most of the time while colleagues also vote sometimes.
Mickael2:
you see? you don't know how the thing works. oldest isn't by age but based on the number of years spent in the team. When did Dani Alves start playing for Brazil? I think even Neymar started playing for Brazil before him, he isn't even close.

Belgium's own was because of Kompany's constant injury worries, you can't always have an injured captain and the coach explained that back then.

You still messed it up. Ventogen has 97 caps and remains the oldest if we are to go by who's played the most matches for the team, yet not the captain.

Neymar is not even close to the oldest in the Brazilian team yet he's the captain after it was collected from Silva. Seems you are not sure of what you saying. I decided to use the old "oldest" knowing that you would think I meant age, rather I meant cap.

When did Neymar join the BNT compared to the others in the squad?

In summary, it all depends on the coach and the players and has nothing to do with who first come. What you're suggesting is old school which no longer holds.

Not the case everywhere, it has more to do with that colleague other respects and believe can lead. I'm talking NT here and not club. Okay, who's the oldest player in the Spanish, German, Brazilian and Portuguese NT?
Mickael2:
it is not voted for, in the national team, 9 times out of 10, the olderst is made the captain, that is normally the case everywhere. And when you have a player coming back to a team, he can say that if he is made the captain then he can come back, that is not factually a contract but since it is a term that he has put down before he can start working, it is called a contract and Zidane did similar
FYI, Dani Alves is the oldest player for Brazil, yet he's not the captain.

Hazzard is that of Belgium even though Kompany and other older players are there. The list goes on...

Doesn't work that way when it comes to the NT. The coach and your colleagues determine who's going to lead them. Nothing like contract here.
Mickael2:
You first agree to the terms of a contract before you can start working. The captaincy is something that has to be defined before a call up letter is issued
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by somehow: 11:09am On Apr 17, 2018
This one that's we are discussing Captain or no Captain, has Rohr or anyone from the NFF hinted anything concerning Enyeama?

Let's wait for the call up first before talking about captainship or not.

Or what do you think?

The 3 names (veterans) listed so far haven't gotten any unofficial/official callup for those in charge.
Kog45:
Naming a captain depends on coach not a player. If Rohr says it's Enyeama fine and if he says remain Mikel no issue but one thing is certain the coming back of Enyeama has nothing to do with captain band.

Keshi came back in 1987 under coach Paul Hamilton and captain by Andrew Uwe.The same Keshi was named captain by Onigbinde at afcon 84 despite the presence of Muda Lawal and Henry Nwosu.

Mikel rejection of vice to Musa during Oliseh as a coach was to just to show loyalty to Enyeama and to douse already heated tension and Siasia naming Mikel was his decision not about seniority.

When Rohr came he said Mikel remain the captain and if he feel otherwise nobody will challenge him but i don't think Rohr will name Enyeama captain when Mikel is available.

No by the time they went for him, Liverpool had already concluded negotiations. Besides it's not like Paulinho and Seri who they went after were any better.

Barcelona signed a DM already and should start playing for Barca by next season.
Loogan:
Under guardiola he less conserned with the defensive side of the game but even then iniesta of young used to put in a decent defensive game but now under different coaches he has been given defensive responsibility he had been a affordable luxury for Barca in his older years, he's lost his speed. Well I think Barcelona have paid more than enough for defensive negligence with a wonderful performance against Roma where they got beaten for a failure to be compact at the back.
And I believe you know football is more than the predictions of who and who is to replace a player because you don't say you have a replacement until he has replaced the person perfectly in that same role, although I see similarities in the way they hold the ball iniesta and coutinho are different kind of midfielders, I'm not convinced he was bought has his heir.

I have always been fine with recalling Aiyenugba and i stated it several times

SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by somehow: 7:08pm On Apr 16, 2018
Barcelona's iniesta is not used for defensive reasons so I don't even see why some of you think Naby should take his place. Anyways Barcelona have the kind of players they go for an if they think Naby is the future, fine. But for now, he's not on their radar. Barcelona already got a replacement for Busquet and Couthiho is the replacement for iniesta so where would Naby be placed?
Loogan:
What can iniesta do that naby cannot, rakitic atleast I would say can push attack very well and give a decent Defensive output, with iniesta I know I have a body short defensively in midfield. With Andy I will get goals assist and top class defensive output.
