des·ti·ny –noun, plural -nies. 1. something that is to happen or has happened to a particular person or thing; lot or fortune.
2. the predetermined, usually inevitable or irresistible, course of events.
3. the power or agency that determines the course of events.
4. (initial capital letter) this power personified or represented as a goddess.
5. the Destinies, the Fates.

Destiny is fate. Fate is when one has their life already maped out for them. They know their inabilities and abilities to carry out certain things. If ones is destined to become a dcotr, then they shall be a doctor. Destiny is not always marked by great happenings, but also unfortunate ones also. One may be destined to be poor or rich.

The fact that u gave this subject, "I need a Sugar MOMMy " will decrease your chances of ever talking to a respectable lady on this site. Wow. thats absurd. IT's not a "Cultural" wht kind of nonsense is that. Some african men try to hide their emotions. They are taugh tnot to cry even if there relative dies. Maybe that's what he means. This is a different situtaion. you are married and have kids with this man. He is supposed to show you some affection, even if it's little. For him to be far from you that long, he should have missed you if for nothing else.

Slapping or beating your wife I believe are traditions of the old. IT is not learned today in many marriages. No offense but I think You should know the answer to this. You sound like the women on the maury show. One lady would say, "My boyfriend treats me so bad, I love him so much even though he hurts me." Girl, if you are wise, you would know that you are an African queen and that you need to listen to 2face. You are a queen and you deserve to be treated like one. I will tell you to make a list. Write both of guys name on paper. List what you like about both of them, and who can fulfill ur desire most. Let me shed some light on this topic. IT is true that nigerians don't trust other nigerians to do partnership in busines. One may say, "You wan do business with him? You better open both your eyes."
We are talking about our fellow nigerians, and yet we can not trust one another with our money or our personal business matter.
In this age, we get many scam letter from nigeria. Nigerians are the ones who potray themselves in a "dubious" way, they are not manipulated by others, but rather themselves to continue this act of indecency. This guy once asked me, "Where do you come from?" I said "Nigeria." HE said, " Nigerians are the smartest people in the world. There keen level has made them untrustworthy. I had a friend once who was cheated by a nigerian guy." I looked at him and said, "I will not deny that many nigerians are dupes, but there are a small percentage of us who are genuine."

We can't blame our nigerians for their corruptness, and yet I do not support it. Many of them are dubious because they know no other way of life. They believe that duping someone for money or stealing one's goods are EASIER, ACCESSIBLE and FASTER way to possess something rather than when you put your sweat into something and work hard for it. Then you can proudly say, " I did this, I worked hard for this."

ANother thing, look at Nigerians economic sytem. Nigerians economic system is devalued, money is being printed evey minute and this ruins and decreases the value of the economy.

Many people graduate from university and they are not granted any jobs, so they engage in 419(scamming).

Many familes are poor and can not pay for the children's education. Where do they turn to? DUBIOUS acts.

So, in a way u can't blam nigerians, because they are already in much turmoil and hardship that they have no where to turn to. They will do anything to survive, even if it's cut someone's head and send it to native doctor to attain that so called riches and happiness(which I don't beleive in).

The advantages of a relationship are: 1)Sharing your feelings and thoughts with someone other than yourself 2) Sacrificing some things for your partner 3) being able to connect with your partner on some issues

The person that usually starts a relationship are guys when they see a beautiful lady, they may ask them out on a date, and that will be the beginning of a new relationship. IT's not only MEN that start relationship, there are modern women who have become bold and they dismiss the old pattern which is men are the ones who ask the women. Hello everybody, I am a new memeber in nairaland. I previously registered for nairaland but was inactive(was not sending any posts because I didnt know how) LOL. I am not computer illiterate, it was just my first sending posts at a message board, but now i think I get it. I am 17 and I will be 18 on June 18. YAh i know am awfully young. There is no "trick" to managing people. You have to evaluate others on the criteria of the the profession you are hiring them for. I do not want to seem like I am generalising, but sometimes nigerians are not the best people to work with UNLESS if you have known them for some years, and know what they are capable of doing. Another thing, if u are prayerful. It may be helpful to fast on this issue, and God may grant you your request
