You Igbo never learn, which of Awo's achievement did you ever debunk?

Zik was made Governor-General of the new independent Nigeria in 1960 which was just a figure head post while Balewa emerged the prime minister. What is the achievement in being a figure head of the crown in an independent Nigeria? Do you guys even think!

So Awoism is not an ideology? Even Ojukwu respect Awo brain such that he had to say he was a good president Nigeria never had. Read Awo book and you will see the Awoism philosophy and how deep it is.

Another lie. Awolowo already implemented free primary education in the Western Region by 1955. Alvan Ikoku only called for an "Education Bill of Rights" for free primary education nationally in 1962, several years after Awo already implemented it in the West.

Why do you guys derive joy in lying and twisting narratives?
"Governor General just a figurehead"? lol....you keep concealing your insecurities... Governor General came before the office of ceremonial president.

Awoism is just an effort by Yoruba people to complement what Nigerians (not just igbos) had in Zikism. Copy copy people.

Alvan Ikoku realized it for the ENTIRE COUNTRY by 1962...it has been his dream since the 40s when he was a representative during macphersons govt. read widely, you won't.

I think it's better you compare awo with okpara, not zik. you don't compare achievement of a governor-general with that of a regional premier.

Don't tell me what I know. I grow up learning from my dad who is an authority in Nigerian history. I first heard the word Zik of Africa from him. It was just a way the Ibo brag about there founding fathers.
In the first and second republic when Nigerian major ethnic group each have a leader they look up to. The politics was divided along ethnic line and everybody see their leader as the best. But that was the days of early independence. But you Igbo are still full of the tribalist tendency in which you praise your own and undermine Awolowo.

May I tell you that Awolowo remain the most sagacious of our early independent leaders? In fact, he was described as someone who came before his time. An account even had it that the British colonialist fear him among the founding fathers due to his intelligent. Awo was a philosopher and a man of idea. He remain the only one with an ideology. Go and read many of his book. You will understand why they describe him as the best president Nigeria never had.

I can give a list of Awolowo book. Tell me book written by Azikiwe. .

- Path to Nigerian Freedom

- Thoughts on the Nigerian Constitution

-The People’s Republic

-The Strategy & Tactics of the People's Republic of Nigeria

-The Problems of Africa – The Need for Ideological Appraisal

-Awo on the Nigerian Civil War

-Path to Nigerian Greatness

-Voice of Reason

-Voice of Courage

-Voice of Wisdom

-Socialism in the service of New Nigeria

-Philosophy of Independent Nigeria

-The Path to Economic Freedom in Developing Country

These are some of the books written by Awolowo. You think a man will write all these, even books about Africa in an era when reading was still a culture, and no one will know him. Stop being bitter.
story, we have been debunking the awolowo wand you people brandish from time to time, thinking we would forget.

Awo was nowhere near Zik. Zik was the first indigenous Governor-General of Nigeria. He was closer to the British crown than his peers from the north and west. Even northerners don't deny this.

Zikism is an ideology known in those days and is still being studied in foreign schools in contemporary African political history courses. Awo is a local champion.

Free education was a policy first introduced by a man whose protrait you see on the 10 naira note - ALVAN IKOKU. Awo only politicized his Western free education as though it was unheard of, usual noisemaking.

Who is Amaka Igwe in the history of Nigeria movie industry. You mannerless Igbo will always find a subtle way to lie and distort history. Do you know how soap opera started in Nigeria? The first television soap opera in Nigeria was village head master shown on NTA. Till date no television soap has lasted more than it. There were cast that cut across tribes but Yoruba form the leading participant who gave professional touch to it.
Then to talk about Television soap in general, can Igbo producer contest with Yoruba here? Remember Lagos is the head quarter of that and Yoruba has more foreign trained artist than you entititled bigot

You talk about Kunle Afolayan as a newcomers. You must be high on weed. Do you know that Kunle Afolayan is the son of a veteran Nigerian movies maker Afolayan. His father introduced projector to Nigeria. He was a pioneer in cinema. Many of his father film are still top quality on celluloid. Uninterrupted. This guy didn't just come from nowhere. You can see from the uniqueness he introduced to movie making.
oga, we know village headmaster, but contemporary drama that served as today's template for television drama was CHECKMATE....

like I said earlier, there were movies before Nollywood emerged. today's Nollywood was borne out of the early 90s, cinema was getting out of favor by then. who knew afolayan then? was it not Hollywood, asian and indian films that was reigning then before the 90s?

just eat the humble pie.

kunle afolayan had issues with igbos before they reset his brain.

please o, who the hell is zuby Michael. Pete Edochie, Kanayo O kanayo, Aki and Paw paw are pillars of Nollywood or what is this I hear? well they might be, cos they helped formed the nollywood name. but movie in Nigeria has been in existence way before nollywood, but that's the problem when uneducated people parade an unregulated industry.
"they might be"....why not say you don't agree than trying to be clever by half. Nigeria movies as we have come to know it today was spearheaded by easterners. it doesn't mean there hasn't been movies before then.

best Nigerian television soap opera drama so far- CHECKMATE written and produced by Amaka igwe

I can start reeling out achievement of the easterners in the film and television drama. I just don't know your age

kunle afolayan and his newcomers are the ones trying to downplay Nollywood, but him eye Don clear now.

Stop keeping silence and start speaking out pls. The stereotype that 'Yoruba ladies are dirty' is now gaining foothold and passing off as truth to unsuspecting strangers. Let's fight for our ladies; the future of Yoruba female children.

Hygiene is what you do to keep your environment and yourself clean thus being in good health. If it's true that Yoruba ladies are dirty, why would Aba, Onisha and the likes make the list as the top most dirtiest cities in the world?

That shows people the reality is opposed to what they bandy.

We must not let this stick like the other senseless narcissistic, ego massaging self praises like: Igboss are the most industrous, igbos are the most beautiful, igbos are the most travellers etc. that had been debunked countless times when researched into.

Thank you.
in 1986, Lagos was adjudged the DIRTIEST CITY ON EARTH. Ibadan was renowned for open defecation.

for the past 3 years, Lagos has been adjudged by international environmental agencies as the MOST UNLIVABLE CITY ON EARTH

Shanghai, New Delhi, Lagos, etc have all been labeled DIRTIEST CITIES in times past. the gullible ones who believe your tales are ones who don't read nor follow the news.

This is where you all are getting it wrong and you are trying to advise who?

Constitutionally every King in Nigeria are even under the Local Government Chairman. No one is saying kings can't be deposed but it CAN NEVER happen to the OBA of BENIN.

Every governor is an Edo person and every Edo person knows that the throne of the Oba of Benin is not just a throne in the palace but a throne in the heart of every true Benin person.

It is deeper than you could ever imagine.

My advice to you is don't say what you wrote up there in Benin City.
of course why would I say such thing? it applies to every kingdom, not just Benin, okay? The point am making is - Every mornach CAN be deposed if and only if he goes at loggerheads with the state government.

A military administrator did worst, what happened to him?

Since you probably wasn't born then let me do you the favour of educating you.

The father ran to Edo state from IMO to beg and he was only allowed to see the chiefs.

Some weeks later the Milad wife lost her pregnancy and few months later the father died. Few years after the same Milad died mysteriously in his hotel room.

Run along now, your golden morn breakfast is ready.
let me advise you.

Every traditional ruler is UNDER the Constitution of Nigeria which recognizes the presidency as supreme and the governor as overlord in federating states.

The Oba of Benin CAN be deposed if found wanting by the state or federal government.

ego aside, let's remember that traditional rulers lost sovereignty when the colonialism gained foothold in their respective domains. At Independence, the world including we Nigerians recognized Nigeria as a new country. We didn't fall back into the traditional domains and kingdoms.

You don't have to be emotional about it. ANY traditional ruler CAN be deposed by its state government.

I greet you all (Ekelem unu),

The Lion, despite it's renowned bravery, does not engage in a turf with a menacing elephant alone. If we must win the war against poor government and poverty in the SouthEast, we must do it together.

let's stop attacking each other, it's called collective SELF HATE. other ethnic groups despite having internal wranglings of their own, do it with finesse and sensitivity. Sometimes, I don't know if it's only ndigbo that attack sister states or it's impostors. Either way, let's learn to desist from that.

Abia State indigenes with the support (not jest) of other ststes, don't relent in our fight for good governance. Remember Abia is an economic cum human capital jauggernaut. Appreciate the good ( 'cos there are!) you see in any governance and criticize any bad (absolutely yes, there are!). You say you are God's own state, so expect judgement to begin from the house of God.

Imo state indigenes (with the good will of egalitarian Igbo in other states), Make known your political stand on who you want to lead you whether politician A or politician B. We shall stand by you. You deserve better in governance. You are a highly lettered people.

Ebonyi state, Encourage your leaders in fighting poverty in your state, it's the highest in the southeast, your leader has shown strong political will in building infrastructure in Abakaliki, your state capital. This is good, we are very proud of him. We however hope he extends the infrastructure to other communities.

Anambra State, we (okay, I) know you are light bearers in many ways, but you should also acknowledge that your state hasn't gotten to it's destination, don't allow any moneybag to distract your pursuit for good governance. Who in alaigbo isn't proud of Anambra? Let's ensure we support anambarians in the development of their state.

Enugu our lovely Enugu, extend your urban planning to other communities in the state. Enugu city is our first class city. Be willed enough to stand against herdsmen attack, you already have the strength and the wherewithal.

Our brothers especially in Delta, Rivers State, be good ambassadors of ndigbo. stay United and progressive. Don't fight those who don't want to be called Igbo despite bearing our names and sharing our culture. in time they will discover who they really are.

Igbo emigrants and in diaspora, DO NOT FORGET HOME.

Some states in Nigeria are actually more progressive than they look, at least by African standards, so these places are considered as underrated.

I picked these states based on their high economic index, low social perception and fledging human resources.

1. Ogun State - people say this state only feed off from Lagos State and Oyo (Ibadan)

2. Abia State - poor infrastructure has attracted strong and sometimes unfair criticism on this state.

3. Kano State - Kaduna and an army of almajiri has taken the shine off this state

What's your own list of most underrated states?

Firstly; Love does not exist.

Men look for loyal, well-behave, supportive and women to marry, while women look for men that can take care of them and the family.

Your said homie[If not you] is still a student who shouldn't prioritize women, but his studies and other skills so as to succeed in life. While the lady in question is also a student struggling to survive.

She's expected to do what she did as an average Nigerian lady who wants a man that can support her, take care of her and her financial needs. Don't condemn her.

All your homie need to do as a guyman is to erase all invested emotions in her and keep fvcking her just for pleasure. He has lost her.
love still exists..... a lady collected money from one Richie and spent it on me, her middle sweetness untouched by the guy. I was wondering if I deserved that kind of love... This made me stronger and more committed than I had ever been.
