IlekeHD: Abia House launches investigation into alleged Fulani Republic in Ohafia
UMUAHIA—THE Abia State House of Assembly has ordered an investigation into the reported putting up of a sign post with the inscription “Fulani Republic” near the 14 Brigade Army Barracks, Ohafia Council Area of the State.
The House also recalled its former Minority Leader, Sir Abraham Oba, who was suspended about three months ago following the position of his party on the N30 billion bonds the government wanted to secure.
The investigation by the House followed a petition brought by the member representing Ohafia South constituency, Chief Uchendu Ifeanyi, which drew the attention of the House to the alleged “Fulani Republic” sign post mounted by Fulani herdsmen.
According to Uchendu, the said sign post “posed threat to peace in his constituency” because it created the impression that the herdsmen had taken over that portion of land where they grazed their cattle.
The committee which has Chikwendu Kanu representing Isiala Ngwa South Constituency, as Chairman, was charged with the responsibility to establish if the said “Fulani Republic” land was part of the Army land and how the Fulani came into its alleged occupation. The committee is to submit its report next Wednesday.
Activities of Fulani cattle herdsmen in some Abia communities have become a source of great worry to the people because the cattle cause huge damage to crops and farmlands in these rural communities where the breeders illegally and brazenly colonize as grazing grounds and dared the land owners for a showdown when challenged.
Besides the damage on crops and other farm produce, the aggressive nature of the Fulani cattle guards is more of concern to any community they invade. They are always armed to the teeth with dangerous weapons, including AK47, charms and deadly daggers and machetes and are ready to attack the farm owners at the least provocation.
There have been reports of clashes between the herdsmen and farmers in some Abia communities of Uzoakoli in Bende Local Government Area, Ebem and Akanu in Ohafia and Umuchieze in Umunneochi of deadly clashes between rural farmers and the cattle breeders.
In Ozuakoli for instance, a man popularly known in the areas as Ajambele sometime in the past received a deadly attack when he confronted Fulani cattle herdsmen who invaded his farmland with their cattle and he met the cattle destroying his farm in the Over Rail area of the community.
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/11/abia-house-launches-investigation-into-alleged-fulani-republic-in-ohafia/ Hehehehehe......something was ALLEGED, and an investigation was to be carried out about some fulani flag raised near an army barrack.... dominusgai: Broad am not assuming. Read again. It was not recorded Sarah served him food, his servants always served him food. He even served the angels the food himself. And growing up a Catholic, my info on Jewish history is not just from the Bible so I urge u to look for an hebrew writing on the life of Abraham. Now you are referencing on Sarah calling him Lord. Do u know the kind of esteem he had for Sarah to make him allow for the maltreating of Haggai when she was pregnant with his son, or sending Ishmael away with only bread and water because Sarah no longer wanted him around. I repeat with only bread and water. Now I know if a guy like u have a wife Dat didn't give birth, and u make ur servant pregnant, u wud not even allow ur wife to be in the same city with her not to talk of beating her. U will even drive ur wife because of ur servant. Then about driving ur firstborn at the wimp of ur wife, u will call a family meeting with ur in-law and accuse her of being jealous. Sarah called Abraham lord, because he treated her like a queen and made haste to fulfil her every wish not make her his servant.l. Broda as I said, if u want to feel like a king, u should not make ur wife a slave in the process. Rather make her a queen alongside her king. As I said, if person like him near my daughter, na pump action I go take pursue am. I never subscribed to or justified women slavery, so don't quote me out of context. Abraham treating his wife like a queen does not negate she serving him. Go and study Chaldean history of mesopotamia, you will understand how women serve their husbands. This has nothing to do with whether she is treated like a queen or not. |

Biafra agitators have be VERY ACTIVE even before gejs tenure, that, I know for sure. But the hate comments from the oba of Lagos, then also from a US based Yoruba doctor, to the witch hunt against the NOI, ihejirika, et al, and bad mouthing against those who didn't vote Buhari, aggravated the Biafra agitation. |

Christianity Etc › Re: See How This Equation And Analogy Prove The Idea Of The Trinity Wrong by SonOfEl(m): 9:38am On Nov 01, 2015 |
God is A (not two or three) Spirit as seen in John 4:24, he is the holy and eternal spirit that fathered and dwelt in a tabernacle he made for humanity's redemption (the man Christ) (Matthew 1:18, 2Corinthian 5:19). He filled his fullness into Christ (john 3:33-34, Colossians 2:9), that is he said " this is my beloved son, IN whom I am well pleased". God is the Holy Spirit, father of Jesus Christ ( Matthew 1:18). Jesus is called God because according to him if you see him, you have seen the father (meaning Gods fullness without measure dwells omnipresently INSIDE him also) (John 14:1- 10). Jesus is God becausing the the Father dwells fully in him, and also, he comes in his father's name- Jesus (meaning Jehovah-saviour) (John 5:43).
The Elohim Spirit being, manifests himself in 3 redemptive offices- Father (in creation), Son (in salvation), Holy Spirit (in empowerment and regeneration). I am a son, a husband, and a schoolteacher, it does not make me 3 persons in 1, rather, it makes me one person manifesting my 3fold obligations as a son, husband, and teacher. See 1Timothy 3:16.
"Let us make man in our own image" is God speaking to his ministering spirits I.e. ANGELS. Genesis 11and 2Chronicles 18:18-22 also shows God speaking to his angelic host as " let us". Angels DID NOT create man, But they ministered to God while he was creating man, Genesis 1:28 says "and God created man in HIS ( not THEIR) own image ( i.e. spirit being), male and female made HE ( not THEY) them. God ALONE created man, while angels ministered (attended) to his needs while he was creating man. God carries his angelic host along in whatever he does, they are his ministers (attendants).
In essence, God is ONE SPIRIT, ONE LORD, made manifest in three ways in his omnipresent ability, NOT THREE PERSONS COMING TOGETHER AS ONE GOD.

Anambra people are intelligent, but more importantly, dogged and determined. I think abia comes to mention in this trait too. The first educated contemporary Igbo Nigerian was Alvan Ikoku way back in 1928. Abia comes second after anambra in WAEC performances. Abia has inventors and professionals of international repute.
All in all, anambra population has helped too in enumerating the LONG list of intellectuals as compared to other Igbo states. |
