The people can vote for any party for the governorship elections but the presidential election is mostly by certain sentiments.

During Adams Oshiomole as governor in Edo and even up till now the PDP has always won the Presidential election.

Even in 2019 when the governor was APC, the people voted for PDP in presidential election and PDP won.
