Music/RadioPSY Gangnam Style's Youtube Fame To Hit 1billion Views ,earns $7.9 Million by souleymon(op): 5:28pm On Dec 05, 2012
Gangnam Style" gallops toward 1 billion views on YouTube, the first Asian pop artist to capture a massive global audience has gotten richer click by click.
So too has his agent and his grandmother. But the money from music sales isn't flowing in from the
rapper's homeland South Korea or elsewhere in Asia.

With one song, 34-year-old Park Jae-sang — better known as PSY — is set to become
a millionaire from YouTube ads and iTunes downloads, underlining a shift in how money
is being made in the music business. An even bigger dollop of cash will come from TV commercials.

From just those sources, PSY and his camp will rake in at least $7.9 million this year,
according to an analysis by The Associated Press of publicly available information and
industry estimates. But for online music sales in South Korea, he'll earn less than $60,000.

Here's how it works.

BusinessLagos Katangowa Market To Be Closed By Fashola by souleymon(op): 4:44pm On Dec 03, 2012
The popular Katangowa market in Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area, LCDA of Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, will soon be no more. The market is known for second hand clothes business, popularly called Okirika and spare part trading.

With a population of over 30, 000 traders, the market is one of the biggest Okirika market in Nigeria. The traders claimed they have been trading in the area for about 30 years.
Last Thursday, Governor Babatunde Fashola, during a tour of facilities in the Lagos metropolis visited the market as part of plans by the government to build a Digital Village that may cost the government billions of naira in the area.

The plan was to relocate the traders in Computer Village in Ikeja to the area. If this is achieved, what is the fate of the displaced traders in the Katangowa market?
When Governor Fashola was addressed by the traders, he said the government has no plan to relocate them to another area, as they were not the rightful owners of the land.

Nairaland GeneralRe: What's Your Greatest Fear? by souleymon(m): 11:54am On Nov 15, 2012
I quote from a friend's Page on Facebook

Fear is one stupid feeling that rip us off of what we often might win.
It's not unique to anyone, race, gender or tribe.
It's a human nature one must either master or slave to as we go through.
An anonymous author once said, "As we toil n labor through life in search of whatever it is we think we want in lfe,
at the end you realise that all you've ever needed is not more money, big houses,
or any of those luxury. But d courage to pursue every of ur dreams fearlessly.

FamilyRe: My Father Just Bloodied My Nose! by souleymon(m): 9:46am On Nov 02, 2012
obowunmi: My father just bloodied my nose (its bleeding but I don't think its broken.) I have never had a good relationship with my dad except for when I need to ask for money or run a part of his business. He abused my mom, and just bloodied my nose because I left a personal item in the sitting room/parlour.

I paid my way thru school on my own as I am a trust fund kid, am currently at my Aunty's house in Lekki and she says beating/violence is a huge part of the African culture. Apart from my father's wealth, I don't need him for anything else. I plan to head back to the U.S. Figure it out on my own and cut him off finally.

Debrief and other experts on violence - how can you help? Its not the first time that he has committed heinous acts on violence. Any advice? I only hope I won't beat my wife when I get married.

EducationHow To Be Abnormal by souleymon(op): 11:25am On Sep 08, 2012
I saw this Beautiful Write Up by Gbemi-Lolade on and decided to Share

Sleep Very Late, Wake up Very early:

Try sleeping very late and waking up very early, everyday. It’s the acclaimed way to making good impacts, it shows you are very busy and productive. It also grooms you into having a great life, after all you are always busy and you hardly sleep. That is, until you land in the hospital because you were trying to kill yourself with lack of sleep. Then you keep falling sick till you are old and have a boring life just because you refused to give your body the amount of rest that it needs.

Have Complex Intelligent Discussions:

Complex discussions are awesome aren’t they? They show that the discussants have read a lot and learnt a lot. They are essential to showing that you are very smart and highly intelligent. After all they show every other person the stuff you are made of. The result? You become so smart that nobody understands you and they don’t want to have discussions with you, Mr Over brainy. You eventually have a pretty lonely, normal environment at all times, so boring I hope you don’t die of boredom. My uncomplicated advice: use this principle, KISS- Keep It Simple and Short.

Birth Ideas and Keep them in a Safe Place:

Ideas are the most glorious things that happened to humanity. They keep a man going through the tough times and keep his heart awake. It is basically the reason most people keep their ideas to themselves alone, not sharing it with other people. They are scared and don’t want to get their ideas stolen, ambushed or killed. So, they store the ideas in a safe place, their head. Or so, they think. Until it rots and spoils in the head having not been executed. And of course, ideas not shared, and executed give you a pretty normal life. Take that awesome idea, keep it to yourself and have a very normal mundane life.

Do Not Eat:
A man has to be able to level his eating to the barest minimum and eat almost nothing everyday. It shows control, brilliance and great attitude to things that are more important than food. Well, until your lack of food kills you or at least does some damage to you.

Food is very essential to your body and brain. Eat! Don’t harm yourself on purpose. And if you love food to the point of gluttony, I guess you are on a faster lane to killing yourself.

Act Like a Genius all the Time:

Act like you know it, all the time. Even when you are sure you know nothing about the subject matter, you act like you are an expert. Puff up your shoulders, raise them high, do the part of a “know it all” and learn nothing from anybody. After all you are the genius, what do you want to learn from people? Nothing. And you’ll definitely live a life of nothingness.

Do Mega-Weird Things Every day:
Do weird things everyday and become the king of Weirdom. Don’t have your bath, do fuzzy things, be vague and strange to the point where you lose the essence of who you are. Do all those bizarre, creepy stuff that a lot of people do these days. The end result- Normal life. Since you refused to balance yourself out.

Bother Not About Anyone:

Be a lone ranger, after all you don’t need friends. Neither do you need family. It’s all just hogwash and lip service. Shove everyone aside and become a hermit, you don’t need people.

Okay, you probably know where that will land you in life. Yes, that life of normalcy in huge screaming silence. And, I’ll be saying, “good for you, you have done well”
