Hello house, my sister applied to a school in the UK and she got the admission. She has paid the school fees and done everything required including the visa application (tier 4) which was done last week. She received an email from VISAINFO.SHEFO@fco.gov.uk which states this. We are all confused. Please advise.

"Dear -------

Regarding Visa Application: ----------
For: -----------

Your online application has been received in Sheffield, UK. Your application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer.

Please note that if you have lodged your Settlement application in the Caribbean region or Nigeria you must ensure that your UK sponsor has sent all relevant supporting documentation to the visa section in Sheffield. We will not start to assess your application until we are in receipt of these.

Please note that UKVI aims to complete all Visit Visa applications within 15 working days and all Settlement Visa applications within 12 weeks of the application date. If it is not possible to complete your application within this timeframe a member of our team will contact you to explain why.

If you have paid for Priority Service, your application will be placed in front of the queue and assessed ahead of other non-priority visa applications. As indicated in the terms of service, the amount paid for the priority service, as well as the visa fees, is not refundable if the visa application is refused or if the decision is delayed.

We regret that we are unable to respond to enquiries asking about the status of any application. Staff at Embassies, visa processing centres and visa application centres cannot assist with visa enquiries. You may also wish to view the current processing times for applications made in your country.

A further email will be sent to you to confirm when your application has been assessed and dispatched. If your application was made in a Visa Application Centre, the staff there will contact you when your documents are ready – please do not attend the Centre until you are requested to do so."

Racism
Nigerians are naturally racist. Yes I said so. I was at Ikoyi some few weeks back and a chinese man stopped by the road side to buy corn. The corn seller was like ''chinko wetin you wan buy''. Similarly, I was at maitama also and I boarded a taxi with an asian man. The Nigerian sitting next to him was like ''ching chong cho''. Looking confused, the asian guy replied him in english what he meant and the Nigerian said ''I just wan tell you sey make you shift for me''.

How is this racist?

Education / Foreign Students Will Be Banned From Working And Forced To Leave The UK by souljaboi51(m): 5:07pm On Jul 12, 2015
For those who intend to work after studying in the UK, please consider this.

Foreign students will be banned from working and forced to leave the UK when their course ends

.Non-EU students will be barred from working while studying in Britain
.Will have to leave the UK when their course ends under immigration curbs
.Students told they can only apply for a work visa once they have left

Foreign students are to be banned from working in Britain under a fresh crackdown on immigration ordered by Home Secretary Theresa May.
When courses finish they will have to leave the country before reapplying to return for a job.
Ministers say the new rules, which will apply to all those from outside the European Union, will stop colleges being used as a 'back door to a British work visa'.

Under the new rules, non-EU students will be denied the right to work while in the UK and will not be able to apply for a visa extension when their course finishes.
Students will have to leave the country before applying to return under a work visa.
The length of stay is also expected to be cut to two years when the plans are unveiled this week.
Immigration Minister James Brokenshire said it was 'part of our plan to control immigration for the benefit of Britain'.
'Immigration offenders want to sell illegal access to the UK jobs market and there are plenty of people willing to buy.
'Hard-working taxpayers who are helping to pay for publicly funded colleges expect them to be providing topclass education, not a back door to a British work visa.'
Business Secretary Sajid Javid signalled on Friday that the govermment would stop the education system being abused by immigrants.
He said: 'What we need to make sure – and we do have this – is that our immigration system allows those from abroad that want to come to Britain to study in our world-class universities, our fantastic colleges to come here,' he told the Today programme.
'But we've also got to have a system that doesn't allow any abuse when people are using the right to study as a way to achieve settlement in Britain.
'So we've got to break the link and make sure it's focused on people who want to study and then, once they've had their studies and completed that, then they leave.'
But universities have warned that any clampdown could damage the sector and business leaders are also wary of the move, warning it could rob Britain of vital skills.
Seamus Nevin, head of employment and skills at the Institute of Directors, said: 'The Business Secretary's proposals to eject foreign students after graduation are misguided and would damage the British education system, our economy and global influence.
'Britain already makes it difficult and artificially expensive for international students to enter and stay, and now these proposals would eject them ignominiously when their studies are finished.
'Restricting talented workers from staying on in the UK would damage business and lead to a loss of important skills.
'Shutting the door to highly-trained international graduates at a time when our economy needs them most would be hugely damaging for UK businesses.
'In the interests our education sector, our businesses, and our international standing, the Business Secretary should reconsider this proposal

Romance / Why Men Sleep After Sex by souljaboi51(m): 10:18am On Jul 08, 2015
Researchers from the French government took scans of men's brains during and after sex to monitor changes in their mental activity.
They found that the cerebral cortex, which governs conscious thought, switched off during orgasm.
Two other areas, the cingulate cortex and the amygdala, then sent a message to the rest of the brain telling it to remove all sexual desire, via the release of sleep-inducing chemicals including serotonin and opioids.
Serge Stoléru, one of the scientists who conducted the research, told the Sunday Times: "These experiments give us the first hints as to what happens in the brain during orgasm."
The findings may provide men with a helpful excuse to turn off the light and go to sleep, but they are unlikely to be welcomed by their partners who do not experience the same effect. Dr Stoléru explained: “After men have an orgasm they usually experience a refractory period when they cannot be aroused.
"For women it seems to be different. They don't seem to have such a strong refractory period and may be asking for more when their partners just want a rest."

Sirlancelot:
Well mine was not theft but a day light duping at computer village ikeja.I was on Pass from work far from Kaduna in 2013.It all started when a street guy approached me to buy his Bold 5 for 20k.Knowing fully well that the price at that time was llke 30k upward,i quickly jumped at the offer but tried to bargained the price to 18k which he obliged.I thoroughly check the phone which was perfectly ok.Then i made way to the nearest ATm to get some money to settle him. After collecting the phone as i made payment,i began my journey back to my destination having pocketed the phone. But this guy kept following me as if he was escorting me as such.i was amazed when he started asking me irrelevant question like where i am going and some useless question like that. When i reached Awo roundabout in ikeja,a guy approach us.Before i know what was happening, he started punching the phone seller, telling him not to sell phone at road side again.'Mufu i don warn u nt to sell phone for road side again'exclaimed the supposed new guy.All this was accompanied with new punch and slap.I was dumb-founded if not confuse as i stand there watching the drama. The new guy ask me authoritatively to return the phone back to him and collect my money, which i did. That is the beginning of my problem. As soon as i handed the phone back to him,i didnt even care to check the money he return back to me.I still remember that moment with fond memory. After he gave me the money,he disapeared with the new guy .!I was left confused.Well i later regained my sense back to check what was given to me,alas it was a one thousand note wrap with remaining once being a white paper cut-sized to rhyme with the 1k note.I check my back which was a shop, people where laughing secretly, apparrently they know what had had happened but choose to be an on-looker. That was not my first time in lagos,i was born and bred in lagos before mooving to Kaduna in 2013 due to my work.I am a trained soldier.I complained to Police attached to the village but nothing was done.I feel like killling someone that day because i was treated like a fool.Very painful.I went back to the spot i met him where i see his fellow 'accomplice' whom even threaten to hit me if i didnt get a life.I was left with no choice than to use my military power.I went to ikeja cantonment to inform my colleague. Two soldiers followed me back to computer village where i arrested those guys that do the same business like them. After much torture at the barrack, they confess to know those guys who dupe me but vow to pay me up.I collected the money back from them. One thing in army is sweet, and that is blanket Job.You buy job, another man can serve the jon for you.Or only one person can buy job for a whole group of people. That how i collected my money back from their friend while i tell them to held those one on the run for accoutable for their loss.
I swear u fuckup, u for collect the phone and other things join. Esp for the 2 oda soldiers. Payback is a b.tch

For all of you shouting typing for biafra and you are based in lagos and other states, you must be a big fat fool angry what are you doing there? if you want it so badly then go to your state and start from there. you see peeps abroad clamouring for biafra, is that not stupidity?
and to those who want it by means of violence, do you think its a movie? those that witnessed the civil war would never wish the same again. do you think its a joke? ordinary robbery that i witnessed in oou where 5 banks were robbed was a hellish experience with dynamites blowing up doors and bullets flying everywhere. imagine the bomb blast in ikeja happening coupled with sporadic gunshots in the air. I have been shot by a paintball and sh.t is painful not to talk of a real bullet. do you think war is a good thing? a sensible person would never wish for that. ibo pple are making millions in lagos from their trade, why do you want to spoil that? sick and disgusting people everywhere angry

Lol. So pple working like jackals in uk too are not fasting? She no like her work ni. if customers come to collect their clothes, I hope u will be able to explain to them that ur employee is fasting. Btw, what if the second guy too was fasting, it means u r in trouble.
If u like her so much, get someone to stand in for her throughout this period of fast. But make she doesn't come around to lounge in the name of fast.
Abi have u seen a teller in GTB for example saying she cannot pay people their money because she's fasting? I wonder ooo!
If we have the same attitude towards work like our oyinbos, Nigeria would have changed for better tay tay.
funny enough, in UK, the peeps here are fasting till 9pm because the sun sets around 9.30 pm. you dont hear them saying they are not going to work cos of that now. abeg some people are just using religion to cheat people. the girl clearly does not need the job
