I don't have to read anything your issue is not speed test....

You don't have 4G or LTE so what are you testing?

The topic should be "why is my phone not on 4G "

Your phone might not support the Band 28 that's all case closed...

AGAIN!!! READ AND UNDERSTAND. I clearly stated the phone I use and that it SUPPORTS band 28. Dude seriously if you don't have anything meaningful to say then please don't.

By the way, which variant of S6 edge plus do you have? Just to be sure that it actually supports band 28.

This was actually the first thing I checked. Mine is SM-G928F 64gb and yes it supports band 28

You may have to force your phone to assume 4G LTE. Don't call it a scam just yet, because some phones assume the network type with best signal strength, hence why your phone hasn't shown 4GLTE.

Now, on your dial pad, dial *#*#4636#*#*, now go into Phone information, scroll down and select LTE Only.

Been there, nothing happens.

Oga, i handle Clients everyday...
I don't work for glo

First thing!
Your phone is not showing 4G or LTE as the topic stated... Did you go back to ask why before coming here to create topic...?

Again, read and understand. I clearly said my phone meets the requirement and ofcourse it was vetoed by the sales people before i got the sim. why its not showing 4G or LTE is the reason why this topic was created. if you handle clients every day and u you dont read to understand then im really ashamed and i feel sorry for the clients

Phones / Glo 4G LTE Speed Test by souljaboi51(m): 8:28pm On Oct 07, 2016
Hello guys, so yesterday i swapped my glo sim yesterday for the new 4G sim. I paid N500 (100 for the sim and 400 credit) and i was told to wait till this morning to activate it because their system is down (shocker undecided ). I use a samsung galaxy s6 edge plus and i live in Ajah so i meet the requirement for having a 4G enabled phone that meets the networks band 28 (700) and also being present in one of the locations that 4G is live.

I activated the sim around 8:30 am and i bought the N500 (1.6 gb for 7 days) so i can test run it. I started by doing a speed test and it clocked 4.50 mbps (impressive) so i decided to watch four youtube videos and i must say it did not buffer one bit. i proceeded to instagram and snapchat and all the videos loaded very fast and i decided to do a 4th test which was to download using UC browser and that was when the problem started. I discovered that it was very very very slow and i looked at the signal and alas it was showing a tiny edge shocked shocked shocked . I thought it was supposed to be 4G. It clearly felt like a rip off or a scam and the i did another speed test which was an appalling 0.67 mbps. Through out the day it was showing the tiny edge and i did different tests at different times of the day (see picture) and i must say i am really disappointed. I just hope Glo is not selling dreams (never really a fan of glo as i use spectranet mifi).

I dont know if other people have a experience with this supposed 4G LTE. If you do kindly share your experience.

Phones / Re: Make sure u find out the 4g band ur phone supports before buying any 4g simcard by souljaboi51(m): 12:09pm On Oct 06, 2016

I'm really disappointed, imagine I went to buy a 4g simcard when I got home (after 2hours) i Inserted the simcard in my phone (hot s) hoping to be amazed by the high speed internet I then switched the network to 4g immediately but there was no network at all..

I have been waiting for like 2hours now for the useless 4g network but its still not showing anything.

only to come online and find out that my device dosent support the 4g band the network uses

Note: I modified to post thanks

how much did you buy the sim?

Please tell us your exact computer/hardware version.

Thank you. Also, you should make sure that your hardware supports Win10 before upgrading
My pc is a hp pavillion 15-p247sa. Core i3, 8gb ram and 1tb hard drive and ofcourse I have been using win 10 like 3 weeks after I bought it last year which was when it was launched ( bought it in england).
So it had liquid damage and the mother board had to be changed. (It was changed to a core i5 motherboard 2 days ago in computer village). As I said earlier, the wifi doesn't connect even though it sees the network and it's telling me to activate windows ever since the motherboard was changed. Unfortunately I don't know where the product key is anymore.

Hardware changes, especially the motherboard will trigger the activate Windows. Connect to Internet and try to activate it manually by
Press Windows key + R
A box will open
Type in: SLUI.EXE 4,then Enter
Pick your location and follow onscreen instructions, its a free automated call.

For your wifi try the hardware troubleshooter detailed above.

Thanks for the info but unfortunately I no longer have the product key so I cannot type it in manually. Tried the trouble shooter for the wifi, no luck

Hello skydancer and anyone who can help. I recently replaced my mother board and I have 2 problems. First the wifi doesn't connect anymore, it sees the network but for some reason it does not connect. I have updated the drivers using a cable connection but it's still not working. Secondly, it's now telling me activate windows. My laptop is a year old and the OS is originalso and even after upgrading to win 10 I never had issues. Please help me. Thanks

Without reading the story i knew it was in Nigeria.

Here, it takes 1 year and 2 months to evict a tenant from your house, and those 1 year and 2 months is without rent.

Telling your tenant to vacate within 1 week only happens in a lawless country

They should improve the law by including stringent conditions such as jail sentence into it.

The major culprit now are those fasting. Why will some group of people be screaming Down our heads around 2am - 4am begging people to wake up. Are we all fasting? Why can't they call their phones or go to their houses to ring their bells?

Would appreciate as many opinions as possible.

Okay ladies, jordinsparkles daretodiffer we really dont need to insult ourselves here. its all fun and games until the shit gets serious. i understand where both of you are coming from and it is very easy to play the blame game. the truth is, with change comes alot of difficulty and nigerians are known to make such difficulty even more difficult. for example when fashola enforced the tax payment regime, police went about harassing students on the street for their tax certificates. the police has no business doing that. what i am trying to say is that for there to be change in nigeria, all the sectors have to work hand in hand. while buhari is trying to clean up, there are alot of elements sabotaging his effort. when he came to power, there was a tremendous improvement in electricity generation but now it has gone down. this is because those who profit from the sale of generators and stuff are frustrating his effort. buhari isnt a politician, he is a military man used to giving orders and it being obeyed. politics is all about manipulation and deception which he doesnt know how to do. lets just hope he gets his act together and eliminate all the bad eggs in the system. let us give him time. pdp ruled for 16 years and squandered our savings according to pat utomi. he cant effect change in 1 year. it is not possible. blaming him wouldnt make things better but instead we should try to help out in the little ways we can. God bless NIgeria

daretodiffer:
I am sorry I should have explained to you earlier however your inital comment nauseated me.
I am sorry again but it is not something you should be proud of. You sounded like someone who cannot understand basic issues. With your level education, it is disgraceful.

1) Nigeria is an oil dependant country. Which means if anything should happen to the price and production of oil, it is marginally going to affect us. Our government cannot control the price and given recent events, production is low. Oil producing countries like Russia, Saudi Arabiaand Canada have either reduced or removed oil subsidy, reduced government spending including recalling students on scholarships etc. These are countries that are far richer and have a bigger foreign reserves than we do.

Our foreign reserve and ECA have been depleted bun the previous administration. Presently, Nigeria is penniless. We would be in worse or the same position if any person other than Buhari was elected.

2) Tomato is always expensive at this time every year. A small paint plastic used to go for N4500. Now consider the present effect of the economy, add it to the annual tomato crisis.

Without bias, can you blame Buhari for the above? You don't need to go to school to understand these things. And there far better ways of criticising a leader than making baseless and unreasonable statement.

Truth is that there is no use trying to explain certain things to people. the rate of ignorance in the nigerian populace is alarmingly high. no matter how you try to explain, its either they cant comprehend or they just dont want to. alot of narrow minded people and they are the ones who make things worse for others. blaming buhari for tomato? seriously undecided
