Hey!

I apologize.
The supposed "survey" wasn't suppose to mock the credibility of this page.
I have benefited from it and I thought we could have fun doing the survey.

Most persons must have misinterpreted my intentions.
Again, I apologize.

Yes, carry on. It's an error on their part.

Hi everyone, so I started transcribing last night after going through some basics here on the thread.
I took a 21 mins call and got a poor rating, 1.

Transcript flags- Intro only or very short exchange between speakers.
Quality Rating note- IVR/AVR flagged.

I don't understand, can someone please help me out?

You just started transcribing and you attempted a 21 mins call. Wow! I like your guts.
I suggest you stick with calls within 2-4 mins for now until you get used to knowing the difference between a REP and a CUSTOMER. With time you will be able to properly attempt long calls.
Also read the FAQ's again.

Does this card work on PayPal? Cos, we have the impression only UBA Africard works

To verify your paypal acct. if you want to withdraw, use UBA africard.

Please guys i need your help.
I'm a broke student who's eager and desperate to make some bucks. Have been hearing about transcription for the past few weeks and i really want to give it a try. Please how do i go about it?
I don't have a PayPal account, i don't even have a MasterCard or Visa debit card although i plan to go to the nearest First Bank branch today and request for a MasterCard debit card. Problem is that my account is FirstInstant and am not sure whether i can get a MasterCard with a FirstInstant account.
I also don't have a computer, can i do it with a smartphone?
Please someone should advice me on whether this is a possible venture for me or not.
Thanks.

GO to a GTB Bank and request for a GTcr8 account. You will be issued with a debit card that allows you carry out international transactions.

Hello
Am borrowing my sis account here
She introduced the whole transcribing and nairaland to me

Via this platform I have done all the necessary registration including PayPal ( I have not linked a card tho )

Now to my main issue

I have no successfully transcribed any call as I always have to release as a result of inaudible call

There was one particular call where there was no particular conversation for around 3minutes, the caller was waiting for the receiver to be done with what he was doing
But they kept saying
Hold on
Give me two minutes
Am still with u

Bottom line I need help with knowing which calls to pick and which to avoid
Any other tips cause this can very well be a full time job for me as I have nothing doing now other than others small online jobs as well

Since you are new to this, I will advise that you take your time to go through the FAQ's. That will keep your error minimal. Also go for short calls as they take less time to finish. Avoid calls where the customer and rep have accents, with time you will attempt them but for now release them.
Avoid Funding Circle and collection house for now. You can attempt others.

Just made my first 4 grin

Your first 4? In how many trials?
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Self Employment Opportunity: Transcribing For A Living In Nigeria Part 1 by Spade07: 12:35pm On Jul 15, 2019
somehow:
Repetitions. Non adherences to guidelines in FAQ. Several errors in grammar, punctuation and sentence structure.

That's what I just got. Is it wrong to use full stop at the end of a sentence?

Is it wrong to repeat what was repeated by a speaker? like "Okay okay" or just one is enough?

I got 2 on this current job.

Take your time to read through the FAQ. You will see where your faults lie. In regards to your question, repetitions ain't allowed. One okay is enough.

Just gave Q.A another trial. Hopefully I won't get a bad rating again after 6 back to back less than 3 ratings.

I had to try 15 times before I got a rating above 3. Keep trying. Watch your sentence construction and punctuation. Good luck.
