dukeprince50: PMB banned the importation of rice to encourage local production, we wailed. PMB banned the importation of milk just to encourage local production, we called it RUGA agenda PMB closed borders before covid 19 but rather we insulted him He said go back to the farm but we asked him is Yusuf farming? Lol The talked about diversification, we said he is clueless. We said he is senseless, he is brainless, he has failed blablabla. Now the price of oil per barrel cannot buy you a three square meal. Now the virus has hit the dollar with economies facing depression. And UN has said Nigeria will be one of the 10countries that will experience famine on par with biblical proportion. That is really not funny. Imagine if we were still importing rice from Thailand, a bag will go for 50-80k. The problem of Nigeria is not just the govt, with the stupidity of most Nigerians, it will take miracle to put us on track Everyone has flaws but I think we should brace up, forget the political and tribal hatred and reason with PMB, he has something to offer. Better late than never Did he also banned medical trip abroad to promote and equip our hospitals? Did he banned the importation of 2020 Toyota camry to promote location manufacturing of cars? Did he also banned unnecessary schooling aboard to improve our schools? Did he banned collection of foreign loans to reduce mortgaging our collective future? Did he banned Boko Haram to reduce using it as a cash cow? |

Daejoyoung: Nope l said it would not increase the way it increased in Europe and the U.S. With Europe and the U.S, you had thousands of cases and so many deaths in two weeks. My initial argument was against you( or was it someone else) who posted statistics of how the number of infections and deaths increased geometrically in the space of one month in U.S and Europe, and same individual predicted thesame outcome for Nigeria. l am saying that prediction has failed already in one month of our first index case. The most important statistics here however is the number of deaths. lt doesn't matter how many have been infected, if the number of deaths remain low, then that is good news, for instance Ghana has over 1000 infections with 9 deaths. All the statistics are important is too early to call... That's why I said you should chill |

Daejoyoung: just admit you were wrong, that's all. 25 confirmed deaths in Nigeria within 1 month and not the thousands you and others spoke about. l look forward to your updates. THANKS. You said the number of cases won't increase... Why are you changing your line of thoughts. Who is talking about the number of deaths all my engagement with you has been on number of cases which is speedy increasing you are saying rubbish. |

Daejoyoung: Still the prediction failed. ln 1 month or 3 weeks, the projection of coronavirus cases in Africa was not like that of Europe, U S, and Asia. This is a concluded matter my man. Nigerians and Africans would not die of the virus like in Europe and Asia. ln 1 month of lockdown, Africa as a whole has about 1000 deaths, was this the case in Europe and the U.S? Just say what you expected it to be in 1 month did not turn out to be so. lt is not a crime to admit you and others like you have been wrong, to expect the cases of deaths in Nigeria and Africa to be like it is in Europe and U.S within 1 month. You are quite amusing to spend your time keeping tabs of people dying, you should be happy Africans have not died like in the rest of the world within 1 month of the virus. You and other naysayers expected worse already by the end of April, but it turned out not to be, so please forget about this issue. Wash your hands, wear your masks, take immune boosters, and maintain your social distancing but don't put unnecessary fear in the mind of people with your false predictions. Take it easy I am not COVID-19 ... Let's use the same energy to fight the virus, you sound frustrated already. I will keep updating you. Thanks |

Daejoyoung: Seen what? l believe you expected it to be way worse than this, to be like it is in Europe and the U.S in few weeks. Now the two weeks are gone, and l am saying it is not going to be as bad in Nigeria. However social distancing, washing of hands, and other protective measures should not be neglected. I want to remind you https://www.nairaland.com/5808667/117-new-coronavirus-cases-reported |

From the table it implies that: 1. For every 5000 test Nigeria has a possibility of 318 cases
2. We have a ratio of only 24 test in every 1 million in Nigeria. That is to say, e.g. in a state with 1 million population only 24 persons have been tested
3. Ghana with a population of 28.8 million has a ratio of 1204 test to 1 million (the are doing better)
4. If the Number of cases is based on the rate of test Nigeria is the worst hit while Ghana remains in shallow waters
5. Computing from 1 February to date (75 days) Nigeria have a ratio of 66.6 test per day while Ghana have 499 test per day.
6. In the last few days records shows that for every 10 to 15 test their is a positive case
7. In Ghana, comparatively for every 92 test their is a 1 positive case
8. We are spending less on test and not doing enough.
9. The case in kano, Delta, Anambra, Rivers, etc. All came from Lagos. One index case have the capacity of meeting over 70 person.

AkeNathan: America must release a safe vaccine in the soonest time possible during this pandemic
If China releases a safe and effective vaccine ahead of them, USA can begin to kiss their global power rights good bye.
It is in time of great troubles, that leaders emerge.
When during World War 2, the world was devastated by Hitler, USA entered the show and downed Hitler, they subsequently became global power.
This is the third world war, it is not against humans but against an invincible virus, and China is promising.
Let us see where this will lead China is promising on a virus they created. |

Daejoyoung: l remember two weeks ago, some of you said in the next few weeks many would have died in Nigeria, now you are saying one month from now. The virus doesn't necessarily need a month. Usually it needs two weeks, and the lockdown started 13 days ago. The death rate in Nigeria would definitely not be high, else the signs should have been manifesting by now, but we see otherwise. Hope you have seen this.

KingAzubuike: The death rate of this Corona virus in Nigeria is quite low. That proves the fact that it truly finds it hard to survive hotter climates , just like a flu. By now, there should have been a lot of coronavirus related deaths in Nigeria. . But at the end of the day just watch how the government will start claiming all the Glory. Just chill and wait... One month from now |
