Lol @ Storm Daniel. On the address change, it might still take us about 3 weeks before we move to the new house, if we decide to start changing the week we are moving in, Is there any issue for concern? Bourne007: 1. If you have the keys, you can start changing immediately.
2. As soon as you can or you dey fear Storm Daniel go blow them away 😜 |

Can anyone please recommend a snagger around the Yorkshire region? When is the best time to get Snagger to visit the house?
Also, I need clarifications on these two:
1. If we get the keys and we are yet to move into the house, at what point are we going to start changing our address? When we move in or when we get the keys?
2. When can we contact the Council for Bins? |

What of in a case the grandma is a pensioner, will that kind of visit be proper? Like using 5 months, use 1 month in Naija and come back for another 5 months justwise: Then a frequent visit will be questionable. Once a year is not bad |

Thank you so much Santa2: If you are switching to skilled work visa before expiration of your studies you will need to show proof of english. If you had completed your degree from a uk university then this would have served as adequate proof of knowledge of english(just show your certificate.
The choice of Ecctis or Ielts is ultimately up to you. which ever one goes. You actually do not have to do Ielts, you can do the alternative Pearson test, it is supposedly easier and has more test availability dates, you can get test dates as soon as monday . |

Please does anyone know someone that has switched from a student visa to a skilled work visa before finishing their study? If yes,
Did the person take IELTS to show proof of English language? Did the person apply through Ecctis (formerly UK NARIC)
I will appreciate anyone that could assist with this |

How about if the 2nd Job is a contract role inside IR35 and the first job is a Permanent Job, Does it still count as a conflict? semmyk: In my view, you've received well articulated feedbacks. Each comes with its reasoning. Bit of add-on. For the FTC, you might want to explore with them flexible work arrangement. Perhaps along the line of flexible work hours based on deliverables (technically, this converts you to contracting. Sort of outside IR35). Kindly note FTC doesn't automatically implies contracting. Legally, @Koonbey already articulated. If you're on Skilled Worker visa, you'll be breaching your visa. Also, legally, employment are within Labour law, which falls under Civil. Hence, disputes between you and employer will not be in the trial court #criminal Ethically, you are bound by non-maleficence (no harm) and beneficence (do good). By the way, that is broad! |

Thank you for the clarification Enishit: As far as I know you have to submit physically except you are submitting on behalf of minors. Once booked u can't change. So let me give you a scenario my friend passport is still with British Embassy even though she got a successful letter on the 18th of November but yet to receive her passport as at now,so she sent a mail out to the US embassy and was told that she have to wait for the date of her appointment to pass and that will be a case of no show and her receipt will be release automatically after 48 hours which then she can book the appointment again. |

Thank you TheGuyFromHR: Go through a dealer. Some can arrange finance for just-comers. You'll pay a higher interest rate of course, but still cheaper than taking out a bank loan at the rates generally offered to newish residents. |

Travel insurance is beyond medical issues, it also covers loss of bags, theft, missing flights due to reasonable reasons, flight cancellations etc. Maturedhustler: Pls do I need travel insurance to travel between Glasgow and London?
The airline was asking for it but felt it’s generic and consider NHS cover should be adequate. Thanks |

Did you use a direct airline like BA or Virgin or airlines like Turkey, Qatar etc? mizGene: I believe I quoted you sometime earlier about this. .... Yes, I travelled to Nigeria this Q2 with a passport that was already expired.( I don't have another passport either). The immigration officer at the airport commented on it, and I responded straightfaced (don't give chance for rubbish) and she asked me to go to another officer who then signed on the passport and asked me to ensure I get a new one. ...... I got a new one issued before I could come back to the UK. Basically you can go home with an expired passport, but you can't come back out with it. |

Do you know any good websites to get data analyst gigs? Santa2: @Harlem22 Start from the basics, understand data and the different data types, this would help with your data wrangling, understand the different types of problems you have to solve as a data scientist, supervised-were you have target label(regression, classification) and unsupervised learning-no target label(clustering, association, dimentionality reduction). An easy path to take could be, see yourself as data analyst first, learn and master microsoft excel, power bi/tableau and SQL and you should be able to land a gig as data analyst. From there you keep doing data science projects, there are lot and lots dataset for this on kaggle(vary your projects to cut across different areas e.g market basket analysis, recommending systems, churn, stock market prediction, email spam detection..Use this to build a portfolio, get a github profile. Learn python or R(python is used more in the industry). its easy to get overwhelmed by all this but creating a roadmap and taking it one at a time,is one of the ways dreams are achieved. |
