Idoma Likita: In essence, U r saying European and American Liquor are better than their African Counterparts...what is the Yardstick for this ur Assessment Oga??
Let's not forget Taste can be influenced by a lot of factors oh..
All I am saying is that we need to invest into our own indigenous brand of liquor!
Who wudnt want to see Ogogoro in a Fancy Bottle with an Outrageous Price stuck to it?
What ever influences taste is all because of that good sensation it gets from the drink or substance it percieves only if you wanna talk about influences of diseases such as malaria n stuff ,and if you wanna know my yardstick go take whiskey n ogogoro n come n tell me your yardstick or resolution , yes you may request for a clarion call for the promotion of ogogoro buh it would be ignorant to say that eliot red n black label are of lower quality than ogogoro.

Tunmi: It still stems from colonialism. Neither one is "better" as both are harmful to one's health. I honestly prefer palmwine and all of our drinks to the foreign ones. Malta is my only exception. I am waiting to see manufactured palmwine..if no one does it by the time I'm 28, I'll take it on myself to do it.
Harmful to your health ? And it is still been sold worldwide ? The point of mi discussing here is not to debate on the virtues or vices of taking these drinks have not come here to debate on the healthy aspect of it neither have i said anything about it been healthy so dont bring the harmful argument into this , all i see in your write up is just a straw man fallacy , my point was ogogoro n liquor which are bother spirit and no matter where one is produced from ,there would always be one of superior quality that is what i meant by it been better, palmwine never came to my point because it is not a liqour and i was only talking about liqour , dont let use our desire and patroitism to be biased, letz call a spade a spade , Africans have elements that are better of than its european or american counterpart but those entities do not involve liqour

We both saying the samething americans would drink german beers n not american beers because of preference or because the germans have a better beer , why do you want me to take ogogoro when i dont like it or it is lesser than the eliot liqour i take ? Its not about pratrioticsm buh that which i deem better or prefer

If you must drive ,why dont you drive nigerian made cars if there is any or if you must wear cloth, which is socially right todo why must you put on suit ,jean and all since they are not african. Am neither promoting either of both buh there is something dichotomized into less developed , developing n developed , people may take or sell JD Or any other foreign based liqour out of preference or something they would regard as more developed liqour while ogogoro aint. So its not about imperalism or not ,even americans take German beers bcoz they are far better than that made local.... but all join Fela would say "na colo(colonial) mentality)

ITbomb: @spenca , God bless u
People will be quick to compare Nigeria with developments in India or Brazil but forgets educational dysfunctionality is the backbone of most of Nigeria problem including corruption.
ASUU is trying to correct this and each time they go on strike people will be asking if they have call off instead of asking whether the issues have been resolved to avoid future strikes
God bless you too papi !!
Education › Re: Universities Pull Out Of ASUU Strike 2013 by spenca: 6:02pm On Jul 19, 2013
Its sad when i see people talk about ASUU like they are some evil body or a body against progress and wanna always strike, imagine an agreement since 2009 n yet to be honoured and you people blast them at each second you get ? When each day bills are passed for GEJ to acquire new fleets of crafts and mobiles and it doesnt take 3months to get fulfilled ,common!! You guy should be realistic and objective here, if it had been honoured since letz say 2010 would there be a strike today ?

dare2think: Billionaires are known to be eccentrics. His brain is probably wired to feel others are all silly for changing the colour and dimensions of our cloths.

Come to think of it, if you are that rich, will you really care about cloths?

Have you seen how Abramovic dresses?

Money so much you dont give a shit about what you wear. That is Money.
Been rich or not has nothing to do with dressing ,it all bothers down to the personality itself , even some without the so called big money dress great n some with the big money dress greater so just personality stuffs

The owner of this forum should watch it because its turning to playground where teenagers who neither pass jamb nor waec will took to calling their leaders names in other to get attention! Tell me hw below 18 will be commenting on topics that happened in eighties without proper research!Imagine a lad who does not even understand the difference between federal and state house of assembly commenting on the issue of presidency. Is only in nairaland you notice that almost everybody is politician. The rate with which kids infiltrate this forum is alarming making it almost impossible for mature minds to engage in reasonable argument! I once told a friend that the source of a particular news was from nairaland, honestly I was terribly berated since then.He told me that the site is meant for kids not me.For real, it was not like this before. You may think that the membership figure is increasing but its is the opposite. Yes ! You may say that NL is on a slide but for you to say that "kids" are the reason for the slide because they hold a different perception from you? Common! To say "kids" by definition though we all belong to that category and it is quite an ambiguous word to use apart from that it is a big assumption to say that the deficiency of NL should be acknowledged to the "kids" which could be wrong, because if all that you think is killing NL are those "kids" that you claim that insult the president and his associate, you a absolutly wrong ,what would you say about those that scam on this forum, are they "kids" also ? Mr op i think the best terminology for you to have used would be that they are not critical rather than say the "kids" are killing this forum because your hasty generalization is hurting some of we kids that dont belong your "kids". Btw the scammers are killing this forum more than the "kids" so when next you want to write an open letter to the pioneer dont fail to state the stance of the scammers that kill this forum..

So to you op your wiser than an individual because you have spent more years than him or her on earth ,or to put it in a better construction, you think you hold a more brillant and adequate response to an issue or situation because you have lived longer ? Common! This is an epic thinking , grow up! Gone are the days that the sages were held as the to be and to end of knowledge .

W'salam sister, i guess you meant washed yourself but to address the issue, your fasting is still valid only if you did not masturbate, as it is stated that Allah is the controller of dreams and no man has control over his dreams ,just like when one swallows something by mistake during fasting be it the person is asleep or not the fast is still valid because it was not intentionally, i hope i helped clarify your doubts? May Allah shower the blessings of ramadan on us. Salam

To attend to the main issue of that write up ,the writer all is concerned about the outburst of soyinka without further clarification or information from the first lady or president, lemme ask the writer just a simple question ,before he sat down (i assume he did) to write this poo , did he contact soyinka for information or clarification if he actually asked dame about it or if he tried reaching her without success? Even in a case where soyinka did not contact dame or GEJ, is it the case that a story can only be confirmed from them ? Cant it be the case that he contacted a aide or he has a source close to both of them probably a cabinet member or someone of high calibre ,to me this poo is just to seek cheap attension and like you said this is a man of high esteem he got no time for your crap. Must i call the IGP before i can confirm a story about a LASU student been shot? Cant i just call a copral or someone at the station and give him something to bite on? Does this mean i have an ill information ? Although the information might not be deep buh atleast its authentic.
