Science/Technology / Great Inventions That Killed Their Inventors by Sphilip1(m): 5:17pm On Sep 15, 2016
1. Franz Reichelt: Parachute Suit (1912)

On February 4, 1912, Franz Reichelt, an Austrian-born French tailor, inventor, and parachuting pioneer, jumped from the Eiffel Tower while testing a wearable parachute of his own design.

Despite attempts by his friends and spectators to dissuade him, he jumped from the first platform of the tower while wearing his invention. Unfortunately, the parachute failed to deploy and he crashed into the icy ground at the foot of the tower.

Computers / This Is What Happens When You Poke Your Phone Battery by Sphilip1(m): 5:07pm On Sep 15, 2016
I had always wanted to know what could actually happen to a battery when I poke it with any sharp object.

For all those who have been curious, here is a video clip that you should watch. Although it's hilarious, but it's more of a safety tip for both young and old.

In this video, a guys practically demonstrated how a phone battery could catch fire, when it is been poked. In the demonstration, a knife was used to poke a Samsung battery.

But please, don't try this at home, it could probably happen to your battery if you're not careful.

Another question for you;
Have you ever read the protection and safety guides at the back of your battery?

I guess your answer is NO. Phone manufacturers advise that you should read them.

Education / South African Minister To Introduce B.sc In Witchcraft Into Education System by Sphilip1(m): 4:57pm On Sep 15, 2016
While Nigerians spend time and energy condemning witchcraft and its agents, binding and casting them and attributing any misfortune on the activities of witches and wizards, the South African Minister of Higher Education and Training, Blade Nzimande, has announced plans to have witchcraft included in the curriculum from 2018, aimed at awarding a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Witchcraft

Nzimande made this known while speaking to representatives from student unions around the country, announcing the move and urging future university applicants to consider taking Witchcraft as a course of study.

“There is a lot we can learn from witchcraft, like how they fly in that winnowing basket. Imagine if we learn that skill; it will eradicate traffic jams and everyone will just get in their basket and fly. It also means we will not be importing fuel anymore.”

The Minister further invited renowned witches to make an appointment with his office so they can have their skills tested and those outstanding would then be hired as lecturers.

He also invited witches from across the continent to take advantage of the new course, promising them permanent residents’ permits.

Phones / How To Catch Those Stealing Your Wi-fi And Block Them by Sphilip1(m): 4:33pm On Sep 13, 2016
Yeah, today is the deal day, the day we catch all of them; my grand mum would always say "many days for the thief but one day for the owner!".

You must have previously experienced a slow Wi-fi and might have been wondering why. Well, apart from those innocent reasons, there are some persons who just love to suck on your Wi-Fi like Pineapple juice (**I love Pineapple juice**). I don't intend to sound harsh but they are simply using your Wi-Fi without permission.

In this article, I will show you the "best way" to identify everyone sharing your Wi-Fi network with you and how to send every intruder parking.

First and foremost, how to know who is using your W-Fi

In order to know who is using your Wi-Fi, You'll need to download the network monitoring app Fing from the Google Play store. Once you successfully download the app, connect with the Wi-Fi network you desire to monitor.

Download Fing on Android Play Store

After downloading and installing the app, open it and you should see the name of your own Wi-Fi network on the home screen alongside a refresh and settings option. To see every device currently connected to your Wi-Fi, simply tap on refresh.

The process could take a couple of minutes to refresh but once completed, you should see a complete list of all devices, alongside an indicator which tells you if the device is a smartphone or PC.

Simply tap on any of the devices from the list and you would be prompt with a list of options for interacting with that specific device. Options include "Wake on LAN signals" and "sending pings", and you can as well log when any of those devices connect or disconnect from your own network.

1. The Leap motion

This is the ultimate, the leap motion helps you have a physical interaction with software using motion control.

Do you remember the movie 'Iron man', how Tony Stark could move the holograms like it was nothing. That's how the Leap motion is. After playing a video game with this, you will just hope the world doesn't end any sooner.

Kindly drop you thoughts and comments

3. Odin

The Odin is another tech device you must have, it is a laser projection mouse. It works on reflection signals with infared sensors.

With the Odin, a video gamer, an office worker and a designer can get his work done. The good part is that it obeys the new century rule of being light in weight.

The poor masses are those who harbor the most superstitious beliefs. You can't see any pastor praying for safe flight before a plane takes off, but go to motor parks and see evil-binding pastors swindling passengers. Back to the matter, none of these guys beating the lady appears to have any money worth stealing, look at them na

Chairman i greet you.

Please endeavour to read between lines, it could save you life.
