So for a £100m player with 17 goals total as a wing forward for City in 4 years and 0 goals in UCL in those years, it's his 35 chances created in the UCL that makes a success? 35 chances created for £100m in 4 seasons? Are you kidding me?

This flop scored only 3 goals in 2023/2024 season and another 3 goals in 2024/2025 season for City as a wing forward and you're using 35 chances created in UCL to call him a success? You must be taking the piss.
At City the so called flop are key players in winning their team a treble and creating the most chances in their champions league run. I wish our flops like Sancho and Anthony could have had such impacts.

The moment Anderson gets sold for £120M or thereabout ,the price of every other target will increase. Every club will point to this deal & ask for a higher price. West ham will not budge on their £85M valuation of Matheus. We need to move faster.

Pep trust him and still sent him out on loan? Why didn't Pep send out the likes of Haaland, KdB, Rodri, Bernardo, Foden on loan after all he trusts them too and they contributed to multiple titles?

He's key member of the UCL squad. Oya what was his contribution to the UCL? State them let me see coz it has been stated already which is an eyesore and it seem you have another version of his contribution I don't know of. State his contribution in the UCL.
I really don't have time for this merry go round. For pep to trust in him to start all key matches already showed how important he was to their treble run. A player that was a key member of a treble winning team cannot be a flop.

Contribute wetin? They just listed the abysmal "contribution" of an attacking winger and you are talking about impact. Someone had 12 league goals in 4 seasons and you think that's an impact? He has such an impact and he's been bundled out on loan?

Imagine Mbuemo and Cunha scoring an average of 4 goals a season, wouldn't we be fighting for relegation this season?

He didn't contribute for multiple league titles. He was a parasite feeding off other's contributions. Semenyo in 3 to 4 months has had more impact than Grealish in 4 years. You don't know what an impact means for real.
He was a key member of city treble winning team. He started every ucl knockout match, ucl final and the Fa cup final. Do you think Pep would trust and continue to start him if he wasn't delivering as expected?

He was a key member in delivering multiple titles and can never be a flop.

The treble season he was a 100m pound player with 5 goals in 50 games. 0 goal in 13 European games. Not a goalkeeper or defender o.

In 4 seasons at high scoring Man City he scored a combined total of 12 league goals. Mbeumo scored 11 goals this season and fans still wanted more.

If a 100m pound attacking player averaging 3 league goals per season is not a flop then we have different definitions of the term.
To me, a player who was a regular starter for a team that won the treble, while also contributing to multiple league and cup title simply cannot be labelled a flop. If that's what a flop looks like I wish our own flops made that kind of impact even for one season.

That fee is for clubs like Man City whose squad is nearly complete and need only 1 or 2 cherry on top signings and who also have the deep pockets to have a 100m player like Grealish flop and not have any major negative effects.

We need 5 to 6 buys this summer not 1 or 2. We can buy 2 top quality midfielders for between 120m-140m.
Was grealish really a flop? He was a key player in their treble season and also helped them win multiple trophies.

Flops are Sancho and Anthony that offered nothing and barely played two full seasons before going out on loan.

I like Anderson, I think he's fantastic but I dont think we should be spending £120m+ on him.
We should wrap up Matheus now before City get Anderson or else West ham won't bulge from their 85m valuation. We could get Scott and Matheus for 130 combined and then focus on the left wing.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by spillo1: 10:52am On May 31
Tyler Fletcher should be promoted to the first team fully next season or at least loaned to a championship team. He has just been called up by Scotland for the world cup after a good performance.

For less than the quoted sum last season no problem. Glad he reduced his value can't see Brighton asking for more than €60m now.

Hope we won’t be saying the same thing about Anderson a year from now.

I’m always cautious about paying hefty sums for players who haven’t replicated the same level of performance for years.
Anderson is currently better than Rice when he was at West ham. He's the one we should be targeting but city he's his first choice so we should move on. Fernandes, Ederson, Maino and maybe Tonali will be a good selection for two spots next season.

Trashford in the mud grin, mumu was throwing side dig at United yet could not secure a measly €30m permanent deal with Barcelona. He had better perform at the world cup for his own sake, cos na stockpole United go loan him to next season if the club does not get a good offer for him...
In what universe is this a win for United when he has already achieved his aim of going to the world cup? He can decide to stay at united and earn 300k weekly while doing nothing and we miss out on getting any fee.

Manchester United have opened talks with Atalanta about a deal for midfielder Ederson.

TW season is next
I have been watching his different compilation against various teams in the champions league against Barcelona z Madrid, Arsenal etc on X and i have been impressed. His percentage of forward passes and pass accuracy are also good. As usual compilations can be deceiving so who knows.

Lindelof playing in a 2-man midfield in the Europa league final. And he’s not bad. He just kept to the basics and everything looks ok.

how many braces or hattricks has he scored the entire szn for you to say that he would have scored that many yesterday?
he is as wasteful as the others but it is typical of united fans to swoon over whoever is not playing
Name one game the entire season we have had an xG of 4.5 and created 7 big chances apart from yesterday.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by spillo1: 9:04am On May 18
Amad returned from Afcon and played 16games without scoring a goals or providing any assist plus numerous brain dead decision making. If we get a suitable offer for around £45M we should honestly be looking to cash in and upgrading.

completely agree with you.lf Rasmus was that good Sesko won't v been bought. We wud v won this game with at least 5 lf Sesko played
I dont know about the comparison between both but Sesko scores at least a brace yesterday maybe even a hat trick. He already has 10 goals in his last 15 games for United and who knows how many more he would have had if Amorim hadn’t misused him for over half the season.

Mrviktor:
Sesko is actually worse. Nd will miss all 6

Rasmus would have scored more from the service Bruno has provided sesko this season.

We need a lethal striker
Respectfully this is bullshit.

Sesko with all the chances wasted by Mbuemo and then Zirkzee would have scored at least an Hatrick and then some. Before we even mention the numerous crosses that were wasted.

There are no top CF anywhere. Get an old striker like welbeck or lewandowski to back up Sesko.

We also need an elite dribbler in our attack like Doku. I expected Cunha to be that but I haven’t seen him do it often enough taking on his fullback constantly and being a menace. If we have enough funds Ndiaye would be a good addition or maybe a cheaper option in Minteh tho he's predominantly a right winger.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by spillo1: 6:38pm On May 11
Any midfielder that's not good on the ball is not welcomed at old Trafford. I don't care how good you are defensively or how many tackles you made as long as you are not good under pressure we should stay far away. Whenever I have watched El classico over the last two seasons I have never been impressed with Tchouameni. He doesn't look good on the ball at all.

No, it's about the system the Psg players are playing in and that's the advantage of playing under a good coach with a structure that brings out your best.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by spillo1: 1:05am On Apr 29
Arsenal is going to win the champions league if they get to the final. Psg/Bayern don’t know how to defend, so many naive defending on show. They have flogged Bayern this season already.

Tell me when was the last time Manchester United went to Stamford Bridge and came away with 3 full points, even in the great days of Sir Alex Ferguson. Chelsea may be poor but they are still a strong rival to United.
United need to secure that Champions league spot by any means necessary which was the objective against Chelsea yesterday.
We need to get over the line this season first before even contemplating what should be done next season. One step at a time should be the watch word. It does not have to be beautiful at this crucial stage of the season.
You can acknowledge the result while pointing out the terrible performance.

We need start making moves to formulate a 3 man midfield. It will add stability and enable us dominate games better. Psg has laid down the ideal set up.

I hope fans will start to give Bruno Fernandes his rightful flowers. What Bruno brings to this team is immense. In his favoured position no player in this league comes close to him and without his assists and overall contribution, I just wonder where United would be.
Going forward Bruno has to be a pivot of whatever United are going to do this summer.
Kapitan and leader.
From next season we need to build towards moving to a 3 man midfield to dominate games more. Yesterday performance was embarrassing especially the 2nd half.

l will pick Zirkee over Sesko for now.He shud continue his super sub role.We paid 74m for this guy and this is what we get? Obi can do better than this.He was balling in his last club
Sesko has 7 goals in his last 13 games despite not being played to his strengths and being a sub most times. Amad has zero goal or assist in his last ten league games. Mbuemo has 1 in his last 9.

We are definitely not at the standards of them Bayern, PSG etc...atleast for now.

Shey na this Sesko wey dey count leg...Na im go top strike for us? cheesy

It might take like 2-3 summer TWs sandwiched between consistent CL football before we can compete
You don't need to be at the standard of Psg or Bayern. Tottenham that are fighting 18th finished top 5 In the league phase. Atletico are in the semis and they are 4th in la Liga. Bodo Glimt knocked out Inter Milan, defeated atletico and City. The Arsenal we defeated at the Emirates are also likely to be finalist. Cup competitions doesn't care about your level.

Yes nah. We're playing on in average one game per week and it seems the performance of each player is diminishing if we're now playing two to three matches per week I couldn't imagine the attitude if these crops of players.

You don't know if it's the manager that's instructed them to relax or they just feel like why the need to, as if nothing is at stake.

I saw Musiala, Olise, Guler, and many young players yesterday and day before and I was thinking about my own players. I just smh.
Where exactly are you people seeing attitude issues from or unseriousness? I am genuinely curious to know. I saw a team fighting even with ten men to get something from that game.

The last game they played was nearly 22days ago which showed in the first half. Leeds were faster and not suffering from rustiness like us. Without the red card we don't lose that game.

I hate this unwritten rule that the player of the tournament has to come from the winning team. Lookman or Dias were the only two contenders for player of the tournament.
