Seems these players conspired to make Messi leave empty handed. Gave him hope, then took everything, Golden Ball, Golden Boot, Top Assist, and the trophy. Very satisfying end to the world cup. |

I said it here before Ederson was never injured. We simply found a better option in the same price range and that turned out to be Tielemans. That's already two technical midfielders added both cheaper than Fernandes. Get ready for some liquid football next season. |

CrystalTiger: Atlanta is a very wicked club and I wish them nothing but ruins..
This is how they sold Hojlund to us with a back injury which affected the boy..To even think a part of their board is John Murtough who was also a former board member at ManUtd.. He's not injured. We have seen a better target that's why we are pulling out of the deal. Brazil won't carry an injured player to the world cup. |

Fernandes would have been a serious balon dor contender if Portugal had gone all the way and he dropped exceptional performances along with it. He already had momentum going into the world cup after breaking the EPL assist record now his reputation is in pieces. |

CapitalCee: I am talking about Man United fans who insult Bruno because he could not help their GOAT match up to messi. Those are the man utd fans i am talking about. So if Fernandes wins the world cup it's a bad thing? I don't understand this rant of yours like Portugal winning the world cup won't benefit him as well. Fernandes had a terrible world cup like others in that Portugal midfield and they were all rightly called out. You are not making any reasonable point. |

Kone offers the same defensive presence of Tchouameni but moves the ball much quicker, more confident on the ball and makes France far more fluid. Deschamps should stick with him for the semis. |

patrickmuf: France will never line up with 2 midfielders against Spain, e no possible. Deschamps will have to drop on of his attackers because I am not sure that front four have the discipline to track back against Spain.
It is just shocking how some of you underrate Spain and their ability to starve France of the ball...Una go learn new thing for that Semi Final... Spain hasn't played anything in this tournament to be getting such a backing against a team like France that would wreck havoc against them. I am talking Germany vs Brazil vibes. Their only key player is also having an underwhelming tournament. |

MRTA7: Tchuameni stays at Real with a new deal. I would be interested to see who we turn to next.
Signing 2 average Brazilian midfielders when our rivals are getting the premier midfielders is definitely worrying. Are these guys going to push us up a level? Tchouameni was never a possibility. From day one I knew we were being used to get a new contract. Both players are good additions to that midfield. I am liking the links to Kone and Sangare as well for the 6 position. |

ChristineC: we now seem to equate quality by the price tags. an expensive signing still may or may not work out. Emi Martinez for £70m could have also worked, but I don't think we have any regrets with sub£20m Lemmans. the club has refused to get rinsed, but we will see how well the results are when the window shuts. the only quality EPL midfielder we could have gotten in this window is Bruno Guimaeres and I don't know if Man United hold any interest there. the rest are also average, albeit over inflated commodity. the main agony among fans is that the board is signing players that were not on the "radar" at the beginning of the window, which may be understandable. however, framing it like we are being "left behind" because we have missed some "world beaters" is wishful thinking at best. let's not forget that Man United made efforts to sign same Santos from Chelsea during the January window. Well written Post. Santos is a very good player with world class potential. |

If they don't get Tchoumeni, then it's just another season wasted again.. Santos for 48M is a better signing than Fernandes for 85 and more proven as well. This is a wonderful addition. |

andrewbaba44: As far as Ronaldo have failed to win the best player in any tournament his international career will be a failure
Won the euro 2016 from the bench and he wasn’t the best player
Those 2 friendly tournaments called nations league he wasn’t the best player there ,it was Bernardo Silva and Nuno mendes
Played at 6 good world cups and it took him the last one to score a knockout goal
Grouped Portugal at the 2014 World Cup ,that same 2014 Messi made the finals and was called a failure for loosing a wc finals He delivered and won major trophies for a small nation like Portugal, a nation with zero trophies before him. His international career has been way more successful than even expected. |

Why are Messi fans trying to muddy the waters by portraying Ronaldo's international career as a failure?. His international career has been hugely successful way more than expected, especially when you consider Portugal standing in world football before he arrived. He would have achieved way more if he was from Argentina, Brazil or France. |

Leyqute: At the same time, is it too much to ask for much better TWs from the owners…just like you and your people have been demanding more from the coaches every season?
Or you’re another ego specialist who want results like City and Madrid but want squad building to be on the level of PSV Eindhoven, Remo Stars, Ikorodu United and Okokomaiko Town FC? It's obvious now that your complaints are agenda driven not actual critical reasoning. |

Abi na compréhension be your problem? Simple question yet you are already resorting to insults. We have already made one signing and more will definitely follow. Anyone complaining about our transfer business at this stage is either complaining for the sake of it or trying to push an agenda, especially considering our recruitment under INEOS has been solid and swift so far. |

Yet you are one of the first people to throw managers under the bus for poor results despite the weak TWs.
It has happened time and time again. But e dey always shock me. Is your middle name Lucifer? When has any of this actually happened under INEOS? Or do some of you just complain for the sake of complaining? |

MorataFC: I think CAF should adopt the CONMEBOL style World Cup qualification format, with all teams playing in a league system and the top teams qualifying automatically. That way, Africa’s 10 strongest teams would earn their places at the World Cup. If this format were in place, I doubt Nigeria would miss out on qualification. They qualification system has already changed. The nations league format used in Europe has already been implemented starting from 2029. |
