mansakhalifa: Oh... it's the cassowary eh?
[The]Ostrich, emu, cassowary, rhea and Kiwi all belong in the same group of large, flightless birds called the "Ratites".
These birds are usually dangerous however you look at it.
For instance, it's distant ratite cousin, the Emu is the only bird that man has been forced to fight a war against in recorded history. For those who have heard about the Emu Wars of the 1900s. Emu wars..the war itself was as amusing as its name.. The machine-gunners' dreams of point blank fire into serried masses of Emus were soon dissipated. The Emu command had evidently ordered guerrilla tactics, and its unwieldy army soon split up into innumerable small units that made use of the military equipment uneconomic. A crestfallen field force therefore withdrew from the combat area after about a month - Wikipedia |

I've tried to lure him with food but he's refusing to come out. My husband has gone to look for a vet, how do we get him to come out? Try to get the chain or leash on his neck and gently but firmly drag him out. He needs first aid. |

Tie the mouth then make him a splint (pls google it). This is what the above poster is describing. Feel to make sure there are no shatterred bones. Try to set the bones then tie the splint.
Pain killers and ibuorofen and plenty of extra protein to help healing. Hopefully its a young dog..they are tough and heal fast. |

Gaming › Re: Gamer Electrocuted Playing On His Phone While Charging In Thailand (Graphics) by spinna: 7:03am On May 07, 2020 |
Hhenryy: Phone chargers step down AC voltage of 240V (depending on the country) to DC voltage of 5V.
But the transformerless design employed in phone chargers nowadays does not completely isolate the mains (240V) from the output (5V) because one of the output terminals is always referenced to one of the mains terminal, which is usually the neutral line but can be accidentally reversed when plugging.
In electronics design, the common terminal is called the ground so one of the output terminal is referenced to the ground. In this case, we make use of the neutral line. But Unfortunately most chargers have just two legs that is plugged to the mains supply. What this means is that if the plug is reversed, The reference point will change and part of the output will be the LIVE line and this can be very lethal if you mistakenly touch the mouth of your charger.
Engineers have found a way of eliminating this reversal by making use of three terminals.. So the next time you want to get a charger, make sure you get the ones with three terminals, they are the safest. With this type, you can only plug it in one direction..... Don't say it is too big, value your life. Below is an example of the 3 terminal chargers I'm talking about. Thanks for this info..my layman sense told me that faulty charger is the cause. Something we are so close to like our phones must not coman kill us |

Politics › Re: For Yorubas: What Is Our Long Term Goal by spinna: 10:18am On May 06, 2020 |
Omoluabi as a concept is the long term goal of the Yoruba. To be a people of progress and dignity that can stand shoulder to shoulder and even above with other races and nations. Imagine Wakanda being real
Yoruba have tried to achieve this and have not really suceeded. However we can see that a little progress has been made.
Amotekun was the loudest sound Yoruba have made to show Nigeria that being excessively dragged back by Nigeria will be resisted.
In summary Yoruba want progress ..within Nigeria if possible..if not then without..and Yoruba will try to withdraw as painlessly as possible if it comes to that.
The above is the lofty goal of both the intellctual and averagely educated Yoruba. And even the dignified members of the peasant level..but many Yoruba have been brought to a very low level of mindset (backbiting, thuggery, ritualism, filthiness etc) which must be considered. |
