Please where can someone visit in Abuja like this? Boredom wan kill person Inside house sef. |
Jahwinaboy:you don't even have a valid argument here, you are trying to deceive yourself by bringing the federal govt here, all I am saying is, wike took the wrong approach in fighting the virus, I don't kNow what your point still is, we are talking of Rivers state here, what's the point of using iron hands when states that are more liberal have lesser cases? |
Jahwinaboy:so,what's your point? |
Seeing the way wike was destroying hotels and ranting everywhere you would think there won't be a single case of the virus in the state by now, Alas rivers now has the highest case of the virus in the whole south south. Gra Gra approach is not always the best in situations like this. |
joyandfaith:there's nothing developmental about obaseki's govt, from closing schools and hospital built by his predecessor to discontinuing legacy projects like the benin water storm project, go to EDO central and nothing to show There is a governor in the state just because he thinks they will Vite him to complete another tenure so they will take over from him, you'all castigating kabaka, what's his offence? When kabaka was working for him in 2016 he wasn't a thug? Prior to obaseki, the company in charge of collection of revenue in oredo was Owned by kabaka, the akugbe ventures, the collect revenue by employing boys and at the end of the day the govt gives the company a fixed percentage which is what most states do, but obaseki came and said the system is too crude and want to refine it, which he did, as a technocrat, isn't it imperative he looks for a way to take the boys that lost their jobs off the streets? He abandoned them, isn't that creating a problem while trying to solve a problem? A governor that travels everyday to sign MOUs and court investors but destroys the investment in his state because they are Owned by his opponents? Who would invest in such state when they kNow their investment could be destroyed if they are perceived as opposition? With the pace the last administration worked in EDO if this administration had continue EDO would have been a better place, nobody asked him to share EDO money, just work. |
freshkpomo:lol, now as a normal person, relax, calm down and go through all this "achivements" again, let's assume these is true, is this what a governor of a Niger delta state should be proud of ? For your Info, the oba banished community CDA's and not obaseki, talking of tarring roads left by oshiomhole, it's am irony you are mentioning obaseki and road projects in EDO, the few roads he has constructed is not up to what oshiomhole did in his first year in office, the few roads oabski did has all almost been washed away by flood, the only quality road project he did is the lucky igbinedion way and it's not even up to 1 kilometer, so walking a woman out of office is an achievement now? His administration tried in bringing bender insurance back but how far now? Where is the bendel insurance today? Back to National League, generally in sport you can't even compare both govts, you kNow about the okpekpe marathon, how about the first car race competition in Nigeria? Those were the few legacies of the last administration, you compare someone renovating a university "which almost all the works are tetfund project" to someone that built another university, when the whole country was bickering on how to pay 18k minimum wage, the last administration was paying 25k, as a technocrat, common sense didn't tell him he has to look for a way to engage the "touts" that lost their jobs when he reformed the tax system? Who does that? Where does he want the boys to go? It's a shame you are supporting a non performing governor, closed down a five star hospital and later hand over to private investors, he failed woefully in governance, you are listing rubbish and lies as achievements when he campaigned with gelegele seaport, 200 million jobs and yet couldn't fulfil 10 percent of electoral promises and you talking about oshiomhole's debt, check this, Edo State had the highest level of external debt ($276 million as at December 2018) second only to Lagos and highest among all the South-south states, yet we cannot juxtapose this against real dividends on ground. This is with the fact that as at the inauguration of obaseki's government, the external debt of the state stood at $168 million. The domestic debts burden has increased from about N45billion pre-inauguration to N84 billion as of June 2019. |
martineverest:I would have ask you to shut up but I don't use such words here, you are simply annoying, can you compare shuaibu to oseni Elama or the shagadis in EDO north? I participated actively in EDO north politics in the biggest polling unit in EDO north senatorial district inside the poly, shuaibu no join at all, person wey no dey fit flow with students, he has been handpicked by oshiomhole for all the position he has held as a politician. |
IMO01:baba like how much this Camry go cost? |
martineverest:apart from oyegun, can you mention any top EDO politician behind obaseki? |
ospido:$300 billion dollar indeed, liar, "As we speak, Edo State has the highest level of external debt ($276 million as at December 2018) second only to Lagos and highest among all the South-south states, yet we cannot juxtapose this against real dividends on ground. This is with the fact that as at the inauguration of obaseki's government, the external debt of the state stood at $168 million. The domestic debts burden has increased from about N45billion pre-inauguration to N84 billion as of June 2019" . |
freshkpomo:na wa, oshiomhole is the father of the modern day politics in EDO, he brought style to governance, he worked, if not oshiomhole EDO would have been a complete eyesore, he tried remodernised Benin to some extent, if not oshiomhole Benin would have just be like akwanga in nasarawa state, obaseki hasn't really done anything, tell me what has achieved as a governor that you want him back |
Lol, Benin water storm project was initiated by oshiomhole, it is a 30 billion naira project and was the biggest state govt during his time, but obaseki refused continuing the project without other options or solution, truth be say all politicians for naija na same but some dey try pass some, obaseki no try at all in terms of service delivery compare to the eye wey I take dey look am as a technocrats before frog12: |
frog12:a honest edolite will tell you the truth, obaseki performed abysmally, Benin still floods, dude abandoned the benin water storm project that was Initiated to curb the incessant flooding. |
BiafraforTrump:ortom was already a minister in pdp,a member of the nwc in PDP before he moved to APC and then back to PDP, both elections were held during general election, this is an off year election in EDO, Rivers and benue are quite different from edo case, the only huddle APC has is if they can conduct primaries in EDO when obaseki has already gazetted an order against gathering of more than 20 people, if APC can scale through that, I believe they have the better machinery to win a gubernatorial election in EDO than PDP. |
Musty4ahmed1:you seem not to understand, every party has the chance to submit from three options the mode of primaries they wish to use, direct, indirect and consensus candidate, APC has already submitted direct primary and INEC has already adopted that, it can't be changed again. So I think tho. |
Musty4ahmed1:i don't think it's possible to change because INEC has already adopted the direct primary mode for the elections. |
Oshiomhole and APCs biggest huddle would be how would it be possible to conduct primaries when there's a law against it in EDO? |
What do you think is wrong with the recommendations ? Kingpee2: |
jaxxy:who be this one, how did he betray anenih when anenih was the number 1 arch enemy against him been the governor in 2007 ? Show me the record please. Dis one no even kNow anything about EDO state sef. |
jaxxy:oshiomhole never fought nor beat his godfathers, he only fought and defeated his oppositions, anenih, igbinedion and Co were all oppositions and not his godfathers. |
Zetty177x:you have successfully been deceived, obaseki is the worse governor ever in EDO state after lucky igbinedion, I'm writing from Benin now, obaseki has no project as a governor, all he does is busy signing MOU and paying social media influncers to be calling him names, yahaya bello of Kogi state did far better than obaseki, what pics exactly have you been seeing? |
martineverest:wahala,so when the governor was calling him names, threatning to deal with him ruthlessly, paying social media influncers to insult him, blocked the entrance to his house, sponsored thugs to attack him and humiliate him at the Benin airport, ask him to take permission from him before entering Benin, did all he could to get him sacked as the national chairman of the party, even came out in public to celebrate his temporal removal as national chairman, celebrating the loss of his party in court at the bayelsa Guber court case, I guess the governor wasn't petty then, he has balls. |
jaxxy:since you care about performance, please can you list 5 of his achievements or projects as a governor for almost four years? |
Throwback:such a fallacy, you only hear of death of the rich simply because they are rich, a lot more poor people has died and unrecorded simply because they are poor, convid19 doesn't kNow rich or poor. |
martineverest:hahahaha, a rare gem indeed, a rare gem that doesn't have a single project to campaign with? Obaseki is the worst governor in EDO, only second to lucky igbinedion. |
Nauttyprof:he has an o level, He then studied at Ruskin College, Oxford in the United Kingdom where he majored in economics and industrial relations. He also attended the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru. Aside been secretary general of textile and garment workers of Nigeria, and also labour president he was also the representative of African workers at the international labour organisation, ILO. His qualifications are not questionable bro. |

ursullalinda:not being a party man doesn't translate to sharing of money, being a party man translate to being a good manager of people, obaseki failed in managing the people that surrounds him in his party whose platform he became a governor, in politics it's normal you settle people that works for you, your party men, it's not necessary you share money for them, how about you compensate them with positions, give them Contracts and make sure they execute it and when they fail to execute it you punish them appropriately, but after getting elected dude sidelined people that worked endlessly for him, risked their lives and comfort and started building his own political structure so early in his term as a first time governor, in all of this, his biggest undoing is failing to fufil his electoral promises, no projects, just MOUs, he failed as a governor. |
Na wa |
logon599:lol, they are only encouraged not to, there's no law against it. |
ogbonti:lol, from EDO is not Lagos to long epistles, stop deceiving yourself baba, stop giving yourself false hopes, every discerning mind knows shuaibu is finished politically except something strange happens, he's far gone, to make issues worse he's From the same senatorial district with oshiomhole, except he decamps and form a strong political structure which is very unlikely because oshiomhole has the whole EDO north politics in his pocket. Say me farewell to shuaibu for me. How do you even feel knowing it's boasts, drumming, beating of chest of people like you obaseki listened to that made him a political orphan overnight? You don't run after a snail, when you are ready you pick it up and put it in your bag - Adams oshiomole 2020 |
Alkason:if I'm not in the know I won't say it, a discerning mind would already kNow it's over for obaseki, except you want to keep deceiving yourself or keep giving yourself false hope, he's gone, what oshiomhole did to him was a well orchestrated political calculus, he has been rendered impotent politically. |
