Mjseun: You are okay bro, no need for any extension letter, you are allowed to enter USA 30 days before your start date. And from your post ur resumption date us 25th August..... which means you can travel as from 25th July. I hope this help.

I don't think they type specific response. I gave two different reasons in my first and second interview.
