Jodera: West ham, Brighton, Chelsea, man city Brentford. At least that's the five teams I can remember with only west ham beating them.
Like I said, it depends on the coach. Brentford matched them strength to strength same as Brighton, but Arteta was busy parking the bus and inviting Liverpool to dominate them. Reason why I said it's the coach cos even if you dash Arteta prime ozil, Sanchez and cazorla, he'll still park the bus wen he sees Liverpool and man city. It's a mental block something I knew that the moment we lose against Liverpool, Kokane will appear like Willie Willie and start his midfielders/attackers crusade. Like he expected us to beat Liverpool. Liverpool that has maintained the same squad for over 5 years, won league and CL, with a very good and respected manager and about the best players in the world. FFS, this Arsenal team is just being built, they aren't there yet. They have not even blended not to talk of discovering their best formation. This team is the youngest and most inexperienced team right now in EPL, with a rookie coach. They held their own against this Liverpool side toe to toe for 40mins before collapsing under pressure. Yet the best we can say about them is to criticise them. So much for being a fan. |

Jodera: I dey come
Modified: after checking it, we had only 3 comebacks out of 38 league matches(west ham 3-1, Tottenham 4-2 and Leicester 3-1). In fact, teams do comeback against us than we did against them.
I no know the comeback kings wey you and spy talk say we been do Wetin I do? The only thing I said about Emery's Arsenal is that they grind out results, which the entire thread made fun of. Sod call am grinding machine. I nor talk anything about comeback o. That one na Sod own. |

Roland17: Truth be told, the bulk of the older generation Arsenal fans I have encountered are very unhappy with this distasteful level of mediocrity. Infact, many have either moved on to other teams or have flat out stopped watching Arsenal. The rot we are suffering today did not start today, it evolved over time and I would hate to bore you. I have detailed this degeneration on this thread before.
As for now, while I agree that ownership is a big problem, coaching is very poor and it is evident everyday. The younger generation who are enamored by statistics make it difficult for many to see the current rot and how mediocre this team is. They exaggerate irrelevant stats that make many see progress but in reality, regression when stacked against other teams.
My broda, today na Sunday, I no want set myself up. Like I said before, dem sabi my stance about this team for here. We cannot continue to dwell on the past. Arsenal now is in a phase where they want to rebuild the club to become as it was then. We aren't there yet and so far we are on track. It will not happen in a season but we are hopeful it will happen as soon as possible. A change of manager will come if Arteta can no longer lead the change. For now, he can still be allowed. |

Jodera: I tell you, if dem dey look for match to reinstate Tierney, this match just gave Arteta one.
Na So we for collect 7 if not for ramsdale . When the 4th goal enter, I been just dey pray make time finish. Can't stomach another 5 from Liverpool again abeg
We need sharp striker, but in all I won't too blame Auba. The guy was starved of chances. The bad thing about him is that once arsenal is not dominating, he will turn minus 1.
Until we take away that defeatist mindset we have towards Liverpool and man city, we go continue to dey collect at least 3 goals from those 2 hands Beating Liverpool at Anfield would have been an huge upset. Taking a draw would also be surprising. We know the strength of this team. They will need this experience to deal with ties like this in the future. I saw continuing progress. |

daveP: Iwobi breathes live into the middle when deployed in the SE. Doesn't mean he should be a starter at Everton. Though he needs step up in EPL, the GWG will continue to play crap if his creativity isnt readily available in that Midfield especially.
On the other hand, Ekong was benched vs Arsenal before international break. That was a recipe for disaster. But Rohr still deployed him and Cape Verde really planned specially for him, and he really flopped. He's the weak link for Super Eagles defence. Iwobi is the Saviour/creative mind till further notice evidently. I am not one to say people should lose their jobs but Gernot Rohr doesn't deserve to lead the SE beyond this stage else we will be crashing. We have many good players that should have make the team play well and scare the likes of Senegal and Algeria. But I am not sure we can go pass DRC or Mali not to talk of Egypt or etc if we are drawn with them for the playoffs. The upcoming AFCON is a good time to try a new coach. Why is Emmanuel Amunike not being mentioned? I have seen him lead a Tanzania to competitive levels. Plus he is Westerhof and Bonfere Jo brought up. People who understand the Nigeria pattern. |

Then one needs to question why players like Iwobi just stroll into super eagles starting line up despite sitting on Everton bench more than he plays for them. Pepe comes on. Will he be at the WC? Time will tell. So far 1-0 to Cameroon. Haller hits the cross bar. |

South Africa Demanding A Replay After Being Cheated Against Ghana (culled)
"We feel very much robbed because it is not an isolated incident of a penalty. There are just a lot of questionable decisions by match officials and we will get an expert to dissect other incidents, so we can make a strong case."
Praying for precedent South Africa is well aware that the capacity for matches to be replayed does exist. They were forced to replay a 2018 World Cup qualifier against Senegal after the referee was found guilty of match manipulation.
The South Africans had originally beaten Senegal 2-1, with Fifa later concluding that Ghanaian referee Joseph Lamptey - 'with the sole purpose of facilitating a minimum number of goals to make certain bets successful - clearly took two wrong decisions'.
Fifa lifts lid on fixed South Africa-Senegal 2018 World Cup tie This included the award of a penalty to Bafana Bafana when Senegal's Kalidou Koulibaly was adjudged to have handled the ball, despite replays showing it had hit his knee.
Fifa took the unusual step of ordering the game to be replayed. South Africa lost 2-0 as Senegal qualified for the World Cup in Russia.
"Of course we are looking at the precedent whereby Fifa ordered us to replay Senegal and we think that if justice needs to be served the same decision should be taken against this Ghana game," added Mothlante. |

Kbs468: Mikel Arteta can sign final piece of his Arsenal transfer plan after target 'agrees' exit Arsenal's new-look squad is really starting to come together after Mikel Arteta's £150million spending spree, but it's unlikely the Gunners will stop there ahead of the January transfer window
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was ridiculed after spending £150million - more than any Premier League manager in the summer transfer window.
But he's the one laughing after the recent sharp turnaround in the Gunners' form.
Arsenal are just six points off the top of the table after their new-look squad started to really gel and put some decent performances together.
Aaron Ramsdale has ousted Bernd Leno in goal, while Martin Odegaard, Nuno Tavares, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Takehiro Tomiyasu have all impressed.
But Arteta isn't done when it comes to rebuilding his squad, and a striker will likely be his next priority. Real Madrid outcast Luka Jovic has been linked with a move to the Emirates before, and it seems Arsenal could reignite their interest in January.
HAVE YOUR SAY! Would Luka Jovic be a good signing at Arsenal? Give us your thoughts in the comments section below After the signings of the summer, I can't argue with Arteta's choice of players. However if I am to say, Jovic shouldn't near the Emirates on an Arsenal shirt. |

At the end of 90mins Arsenal were 3-0 and also with a man down after losing their GK, Heinz to injury and having to use a striker and as makeshift goalie. The lads were able to rally around and equalise within injury time to finish the game 3-3.
