mostob: 🗣️| Paul Merson: “I said on 19th September that if Arsenal get four points out of their games against Manchester City and Newcastle United, they win the league. Arsenal did it and I stand by what I said.
“In fact, the title race could be done and dusted in the next two weeks! Arsenal face Burnley and Sunderland before the international break, while Liverpool have Aston Villa and Manchester City.
“I expect Arsenal to win both them games and I'm not backing Liverpool to win this weekend. If City and Liverpool then take points off each other in gameweek 11, I think Arsenal will win the league quite comfortably.
“I even believe Arsenal could enjoy a good run in the Champions League because by the time it reaches the latter stages, we could be looking at a situation where they would have sealed the league title already!”
Somebody tell him we're not title contenders o.. We just want to hustle for 3 points every MD I already told you we would be 10 points clear in November and win the league in April. It's not magic, the manager is a good manager. All he needed was support. |

Arsenal in October
Pl 6 W 6 D 0 L 0 GF 12 GA 0
The problem Arteta has always had was lack of support from the board.
Those that criticised Arteta should be making public apologies.
Interestingly, the 250m invested in the team is still less than what Pep and Slot got this season.

This is my issue with you.
When he was on a goal drought and they gave him pk to open confidence for him, where was he playing in our lemon jersey?
Overall, me didn't expect him to cos of Arteta factor. I knew he is capable of doing Auba numbers in an instant (Arteta enjoyed that yet refused to get such striker all the while. Lol) So im just on a "this man wan dey use Gyo a different way and then everyone is not looking, maybe unleash him like Haaland" mode.
It will be all the more lethal when Kai and GJ returns. When Kai returns he will ease of the goals burden. Hope you're not using Kai to hope to unlock for Gyokeres? |

While he chose fraud, another young man is learning carpentry, hawking bottled water, cleaning the streets, washing cars just to survive. Despite the pressures of making it fast and quick, he decided to suffer to eat, than cause someone emotional harm by stealing
Among these two, who truly deserves rehabilitation abi na redirection?
What kind of rehabilitation will you give to someone who is accustomed with driving a Benz and living on stolen millions, month to month? Rehabilitation and redirection are corrective measures. You correct what is wrong not what is right. You encourage what is right. You want to make that Yahoo boy apply whatever skills he is using to dupe people into productive ventures for the overall benefit of society. Leadership is about making society better. If Tinubu had undergone rehabilitation and redirection, he would not be snatching it, grabbing it and running away with stolen mandate. He would see governance as a means of self gratification (as the Yahoo boy thinks) but for public good. |

Kai played as an AM when he joined not as a striker. SonI would not have laid a goals burden on him. As a matter of fact, I don't put any burden on Gyokeres to score goals beyond what he has done. What’s your prediction for tonight’s came?
This match is personal to me.
I want us to beat Brighton black and blue.
4-0 would be nice. We need to improve in our attack. There's no real improvement in terms of performance compared to last season. The only reason it's not showing is because our defending improved. A weak attack will make it difficult for us to win games. Like as we saw against Crystal Palace. Attack win games. Defense win titles. |

BlueRayDick: This is a worrisome line of thought.
It simply means you are saying only a male child is really worth to be called a child in the real sense of the word. Irrespective of whatever grammar you use to cover it, that is exactlg what it means.
Personally, I don't agree with that line of thought I explained why I said the male line is the true line. That's because they will bear the family name. Otedola's daughter got married and dropped her father's name. She can inherit her father but it will be lost to the family name of Ajibola. I am not saying she shouldn't get anything from her father, I am saying it shouldn't include the ancestral home. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Spy360(m): 5:17pm On Oct 28, 2025 |
iamoyindamola: This is another problem, imagine outsider telling you he have right in another family property because he marry their daughter In this case, it's better to sell the land and share the proceeds among the children. They can now buy properties for themselves. That's what happened to people from Owerri, Aba, Onitsha cities. Most of them live in the outskirts now. While 'strangers' have taken over their lands. I don't blame the strangers but it's this inheritance crisis that lead to losing ancestral heritage. So you have someone who is from Abeokuta for example but have no home in Abeokuta. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Spy360(m): 5:10pm On Oct 28, 2025 |
raumdeuter: In this world now, when most of the boys are in another country. You are talking about a property in Imo and your sons 3 of them are in Canada, Japan and USA. What is the point of the ancestral land to them
When your kids grow, you will realize that the daughters even when married care for their parents more than the boys. I have a friend with twins in their 20s, the boy every school break will follow his friends all over or go stay with one GF, na the daughter dey come home to check on the parents, Some times he will say the boy has not called him for weeks. Females generally have a softer heart towards parents than boys
Imagine the by wey no really send you when he is grown will now come and claim say he be boy to claim all the properties It's not about me/you, it's the ancestry. The male line is the true line. They will bear the family name. To do so, they need to have a place called home, enough to last for generations. I am just arguing by the way. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Spy360(m): 5:05pm On Oct 28, 2025 |
BlueRayDick: Define ancestral land in the context of living in a city. I mean in the context of 2 to 3 generations that have lived in a city. You want your name to remain in the title deeds. You want your family to maintain presence in their ancestral home even if it's a city. So when you say you're from Prot Harcourt for example, you have your family home there and not somewhere in the village |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Spy360(m): 3:20pm On Oct 28, 2025 |
iamoyindamola: You are missing it, not that i don't agree to female having share of family wealth The is their husband, by law it becomes the husband property which won't be fair especially if the man is polygamous in nature, he's reaping where he didn't sow. Unless there is a standing law that state the properties are meant for the woman and her kids I don't mind possessing personal property. But ancestry is key here. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Spy360(m): 3:18pm On Oct 28, 2025 |
BlueRayDick: If her husband ends up being polygamous she can always divorce him. Abi? Her property is her property, no court will say her husband should inherit the property she inherited when tbey are about to divorce.
The female child has a right to inherit property from her family so does the male. Since both of them will marry and start their respective families, it is discriminatory depriving the female of her inheritance because of marriage while the male child is allowed to enjoy his own inheritance. If you bring another family name into your ancestral land, don't you think it will lead to crisis in the future? Where a stranger begins to drag property with the sons simply because they were married to their sister |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Spy360(m): 3:16pm On Oct 28, 2025 |
raumdeuter: If it stays in the family means it goes to benefit the brothers children and grandchildren and not the man's daughter and grandchildren
For example say na you get girls. So instead of your grandchildren through your daughter getting it, your brothers children and grandchildren will get it Having only girls is understandable. But when you have sons, you want them to grow more than you. You may give portions to your girls, and even instruct the boys to use proceeds to support their sisters and their families, but the ancestral property should remain with the boys. They carry your name. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Spy360(m): 12:32pm On Oct 28, 2025 |
BlueRayDick: Let's say as a Lagosian your grandfather owns a building at Mushin and another building at Ebutte Meta, does that qualify as ancestral home?
If yes, are we saying a female child cannot inherit such inheritance passed down to her father and now down to her? Are we saying only the male children can have a piece in those two buildings and be entitled to collect rent on them or get compensated when the building is leased out to a developer for 50 years and the developer pays millions?
Is that what we are saying? As an Igbo, customarily, no one owns the ancestral land. It belongs to the Umunna or kindred/extended family. In adulthood you're given a sizeable portion to build your home or whatever you like. But you don't own the land. In death, the property goes to the eldest son who manages it in trust for the entire family. If he has no sons, his wife and any daughters continue to live in the property. At the end, it will still go to the eldest in the family. In that way, women don't inherit and the property is preserved within the family. Especially the land. Even when they sell, all the male heirs share the money. Women also get some share but it's not an entitlement. |

Olowunl01: We need to differentiate between ancestral land and parents owned ( not passed down property)
Just like we dont pass down kingship in our culture I dont think ancestral lands should be passed down to married woman, however she 100% inherit her parents personal wealth. This is the customary view |

You don't need high IQ to do things that every muniru and Ambali with access to phone and internet can do with few days of training.
When you finish with 2nd class lower in the University, only an idiot will call you a genius of the course. If you call a 2nd class lower graduate, genius, what will you now call a first class graduate? Obi can only impress his docile followers who can't think deeply.
