BlueRayDick: Hunger bad Sha.
I saw the news yesteeday evening saying Maryam Sandra's father-in-law forgives her and approved her release/pardon. I was like WTF? 🤷♂️
https://www.nairaland.com/8539559/bilyaminus-father-ahmed-bello-isa
The family had earlier released a press release condemning her release by the FG and express their bitterness about the whole presidential pardon thingy.
Now it's being revealed that the father wasn't in the late son's life and only showed up when his properties were about to be shared. The same father is one who negotiated with the in-laws and organize a joint press conference to give the his support to the presidential pardon.
Hunger no be good thing at all; even from the picture u can tell. Na Bayo Onanuga suppose organise this propaganda agenda |

GloriousGbola: Look at this one
As usual you know nothing
The festac demolitions were initiated by the new lga chairman
Let the adults in the room tell you about lga autonomy.
And the demolitions were very welcome to anyone who actually values a semblance of order. People have set up kiosks and shops on sidewalks everywhere, blocking pedestrian traffic and inhibiting vehicles.
4th Avenue junction. It started with one person selling fruit by the road. Two years later it is five or six stalls and open air mechanic workshop. People blocking the junction with accidented cars.
And for your information, the lga had put up contravention markings on different buildings and structures as far back as February this year.
When your hero is a two bit underperforming philosophy grad it impacts on your already limited and diminished capacity for reason
Nonsense
Maybe next you will attack lasg if the local govt arrests the riff raff I meet doing no 2 into the public drain on my morning 500 steps I will not engage you on this matter. You are not as intelligent as expected and it's sad. |

BlueRayDick: Monday strikes me as a very loyal guy ; loyal to the core. He's the kind of guy that will ride or die with you because of just one favor you have done to him in the past no matter how small the favor is.
I feel he's doing all of these pro-Tinubu stuff because of the massive rigging that was done on his behalf to clinch the governorship seat.
He's still in shock at the reality of levels APC pulled to get him that governorship seat despite the numerous bag and baggages he was carrying as a candidate. The guy had everything going wrong for him in the run-off to the election ; the only thing really working for him was him being APC flag bearer.
Yet, somehow he manages to win in an election that was fraught with irregularities and all the courts of the land found a way to uphold the election. It beats his imagination that despite Asue Ighodalo being a practicing lawyer who will definitely have friends in the judiciary, he(Monday) still managed to win him at all the levels of the courts .
Omo, e reach make Monday paint Edo state house of assembly and government house with Tinubu cap logo o 😂 APC is like an occultic group honestly. It is like they were formed with the aim to destroy every thread of morality holding the fabric of this nation together. All our institutions have been completely messed up especially the Judiciary. Fools and criminals have taken over governance and here we are. The worst part is that seemingly smart people like Raumdeuter and Airmark will be defending them, and doing so from the comfort of sane societies. |

semid4lyfe: There is an Eritrean conundrum.
All the groups have 6 countries and each played 10 matches except Group E which had 5 countries and each played 8 matches due to Eritrea's withdrawal.
Eritrea's withdrawal created an imbalance and the only way CAF can ensure parity and fairly determine the four best 2nd placed teams is to remove the points each of the 2nd placed teams obtained from the bottom placed team in each group. So our failure to beat Zimbabwe has turned out to be a blessing? |

Leonard Peltier - Convicted of first-degree murder of two federal agents in 1975
Adrian Peeler - Convicted as a drug kingpin in Washington state, linked to the deaths of an 8-year-old boy and his mother When a natter is not clearly established and there are grey areas, or when the offender must have served his punishment to a reasonable extent and there is probable repentance, a presidential pardon can remedy the situation. That is the purpose of it. |

Try it and see what you will find I have and it does except in other rogue cases or countries. raumdeuter: 1. The forgery case is not a failure of the senate but that of the DSS who investigated Nnaji and cleared him. If Nnaji presents a clearance from DSS what should the Senate do?
2. Truly forgery is common in Nigeria. Many civil servants also have forged documents and also adjusted their age to stay longer in service.
3. Having classmates does not mean you graduated. There are many people you will see in your class but you don't know for certain if they graduated. e.g Nnaji will have colleagues in UNN who will know him but graduating no one can say. Its between him and UNN Senate It's a failure of judiciary that such nonsense happens commonly in Nigeria. Like when the Supreme Court foolishly said that the certificate forgery of the president was a pre- election matter. Such stupidity. Isn't forgery a crime anymore? |

Now google a list of countries who have presidential pardons and the type of criminals they pardon, what crimes they committed to get the pardon
Just for your education. So that when 2027 comes and you need to campaign for Tinubu you have the facts and not Obidient talking points who Kenneth Okonkwo called Ekukes So the presidential pardon is to undermine the judicial process and rubbish years of hard work and risk of life of the security agencies? Our biggest problem right now is insecurity, so how do you explain releasing over hundred criminals back into society on the guise of presidential pardon. Such recklessness was what made him to remove subsidy and devalue naira without a thought.

semid4lyfe: Another angle, not quite what I was thinking. In fact, on deeper reflection I completely disagree with your stance
Make I articulate my thoughts. Pls follow me reason.
1. I think she jumped off the balcony herself without any struggle. (I assume it was from the balcony because windows typically have burglary proof bars). Fear and panic can make people do that under threat conditions. Moreso, under extreme panic situations, adrenaline kicks in and the distance of the ground from a three-story balcony can suddenly appear like the distance from a car rooftop.
2. The media, eye witness, neighbours, robbers confession and police reports are all consistent in one thing - that she jumped. None reported signs of struggle or attempted molestation/assault. Also, if a/the robber(s) did try to molest her, she would have been overpowered and held in the living room/bedroom and wouldn't have made it to the balcony that she jumped from.
3. Your alignment with media narrative theory no add up. It assumes the robbers are intelligent and gives them too much credit. I mean, there is no incentive for them to adopt the media narrative. We all know the police did not extract the confession from the robbers across table interview or by promising lighter incarceration time like we see in movies. Those robbers were tortured and put through excruciating pain, and under such condition will not have the presence and clarity of mind to to align their story with the public version.
4. Your assertion that the robbers gave false confession to avoid charges of manslaughter/murder too no follow. Again, it gives too much credence to the robbers. I suspect they're illiterate or of little education. and I doubt dem sabi law like that. I also think under the law, armed robbery resulting in death attracts the death penalty in Nigeria.. So there's no real advantage in the robbers claiming she jumped and they tried to stop her unless its true
Finally, I know I'd get flak for this, but the fact that only the security guard (who was shot for trying to prevent the entry of the robbers) and Miss Somto who jumped from her 3rd floor apartment died in the whole 3-storey twin apartments building leads me to conclude that she'd be alive today if she hadn't panicked and jumped.
Cc: Sportsweb You think she would jump down to the robbers? What makes sense is if they were already closing in on her and probably making obscene gestures? She would not have jumped unless she considers it the last resort to save herself. This is not some random lady. This is someone who is very much exposed. Whichever way, never try to defend evil. As for the bolded, while it may sound true, it may not necessarily be true. S long as someone was shot dead, another person could also have been a victim. |
