I have always maintained my stance on zonal marking (I detest it), we are so porous whenever crosses come in. LC targeted the back post continuously.

Considering we played this game with a make shift defense, I hope things tighten up when the regulars return.

No style of marking is without errors. It depends on what you are good at. Personally I prefer zonal to man marking, because of the team synergy unlike man marking where a poor marker easily gets caught out leaving a loop hole.

This heart wrecking should reduce this season o.

We can easily get away with a Monreal as CB against a Morata. But to try it against Vardy/Okazaki combo, is poor. I miss Per in this match.

Xhaka and Elneny's combination on Sunday is definitely one that Wenger should seriously consider this season.

While it may lack the creativity a Ramsey/ Xhaka brings, especially with Ramsey's intelligent runs inside the box, it provides the balance on defense and offense the latter lacks.

I would definitely love to see the more of the Xhaka/ Elneny combo this season.

I too would love to see Elneny blossom, but Ramsey is a better all round player when you consider both defensive and offensive abilities.

Take for example that FA cup final against Chelsea, Ramsey's runs from midfield made all the difference while still providing defensive support for Xhaka.

Add his work ethic, he is a perfect foil for Xhaka.
