He would upgrade our team.
It will be good if we can get him and Lemar and offload one between Elneny and Ramsey. See how he measures against our midfielders using Squawka stats. Elneny will play CB this season. Wenger will add Wilshere and a new midfielder to the contingent. |

Roland17: If Wenger succeeds in keeping Sanchez by the end of the summer transfer, then January may be Wenger's target for all three players ( Sanchez, Ox and Ozil) depending on Arsenal's position on the log.
If by miracle we are in strong contention for the premier league, I think Wenger risk's it by keeping all three until the end of the season, however, if we are out of contention (as usual), he trades 2/3 to the highest bidder. That being said, I think Ozil stays irrespective.
In my opinion the 2017/ 2018 season is Wenger's last season because his 2018/ 2019 season would be overshadowed by his contract situation and succession plans/ agitation which has been a distraction for this team. If anything good would happen, it must happen this season, but with the current situation that seems unlikely. With the geometrical rate of increase in transfer fees, letting quality players leave may leave the club short of key personnel. Since money is not q problem, having made the mistake of not extending the contract of Ozil and co I support Wenger's decision to let their contract run out. Any fee we get from them would not pay for similar quality. So we keep them and see how far they would lead us towards winning the title next season. |

Fkhalifa: Lool Wenger is the reason we are debating on average strikers like dz, The issue is Giraud's inability to run, dribble, manoeuvre his way in tight corners, threat defenders, dazzle us with skills amongst many others frustrates me a lot..
Even if he isn't that endowed, atleast be a Costa kind of striker that just wants to score and win rather he looks relaxed and having fun on pitch...
Welbeck is opposite but God dey punish him with lack of goals..
But as worse as giroud is,he achieved and won Arsenal medals more than the v.persies, fabregas, nasri and orther classy players we had in the past
Even in French national team, he shines there more than the Griez, benze, mpabbe, martial, lava et all..God dey behind that guy,,I dey tehll you. He can't score of 20goals per season. He needs someone like Lacazette to start matches so he can be a useful sub. |

He needs a goal scoring winger like Sanchez behind him. |

Eruditor: Man City was not the problem when United paid £89m for Paul Pogba. They were not the problem when United paid £90m for Lukaku. The market is the market and you have the windfall in TV revenue to blame for this.
Lacazette was tagged at £55M only a season ago when Wenger inquired. This season he came cheaper so Wenger paid. Sure, some coaches are more desperate than others but they are not the one's carrying out the negotiations.
This same Lemar because of whom Monaco just turned down €50m from Arsenal could depreciate in value this very season. Wenger and AFC should have offered this same money 2 months ago and Monaco would have accepted.
It is clear they are playing hardball now but it would not last because the player in question wants to join Arsenal. To add to that, they know Wenger has more than met their valuation of the player. They just want to see if they can milk the process more. Who does not do that?
Some say only Marcelo was more impressive than Mendy last season. Some others say Marcelo and Sandro. The question is, how much would you pay for Marcelo in today's market? You make some sense. More money in the EPL is driving the market. But just as Roland said those spending astronomically had better win the league or face serious backlash. |

johnjunior39: personally I think gibbs, and wilshere should not be sold,we know our injury crisis will always come, welbeck should go abeg. Perez is even better chuckdee4: Does this mean Chamberlain will be sold. Plus what's the deal with all these extra players we still have in the team Gibbs, Perez and Wilshere For me Wilshere should stay but Gibbs can go. Lemar will replace the likes of Walcott. Welbeck will compete with Giroud and Lacazette. |

afrodoc2: One has to agree that City made the best improvements in th EPL. They made great signings in areas in which they were weak, kept all their good players and offloaded most of their poor ones. It does not automatically translate to online success but they have won the EPL transfer window so far. It is easy to improve a team when you have all the cash in the world. See how he is overspending. |

Eruditor: You said he inherited good squads in Barca and Bayern. Okay.
He did not inherit a good squad with City so he wants to rebuild. You still complain.
Pep should sell off all the bad legs in City and still win without replacing them. Or he should use the bad legs to win - then when he wins the same you would turn around and say anybody would have won with them.
Sorry I can't be dancing palongo with you. Stick to one narrative and forget how much he has spent.
Wait till he wins the league then say you have no respect for him because he signed expensive players. Say you only respect Ranieri and until Pep uses Aston Villa to win, you won't respect him.
You are just about an inch from saying that. Your last sentence... Lol. I was simply reacting to your thoughts. If Pep is a good the best manager, winning titles shouldn't depend on buying stars since any decent manager can do that. Yet, after spending so much last season he failed to win anything. How can I clap for him? |

Eruditor: LOL.
When he wins one this season you would revert and say "Chequebook manager. He only wins because he spends".
For evidence check your statements on his wins in Spain and Germany.
That is why I told you, you would only deceive fellow Arsenal Lickspittles. You would have an excuse for whatever victory Pep has because you are conditioned that way. Forget Spain and Germany, lets focus on the now. How much has Pep spent between arriving England and now? Had he won the title, may be we could turn a blind eye to his extravagance. |

Eruditor: Better team? But...But only a season before they were 10th and you were 2nd.
Better manager? But your head to head against him and his CFC was 2-1 if I can count (and boy can I count!)
LOL. You are willing to trade your beloved Wenger and AFC to spite Pep. That is why you are succeeding in deceiving yourself my man.
Pep has a better head to head record than Mou including finishing 3rd to Mou's 6th.
But to you everything changes after a preseason game.
Debrainwashing? Shouldn't charity begin at home? Sometimes I wonder if Raumdueter is not behind this moniker. You two can shift like shadows about a point. Unless you want to accept that United and Mourinho are better than City and Pep respectively, then Pep losing to Mou is another round of failure. Pep should be winning all his matches whether preseason or not. Remember he is the best manager in the world. |
