Rilwayne001: Really? So because we are rich we shouldn't discard our liabilities?
Interesting. I like your business orientation. Giroud can be our second or third striker. You think he is liability? Bleep it he starts ahead of Lacazette for France. At international level he is among the best rated strikers. So much for football sense. |

MrDojo: Definitely but the question is who will wenger bring in or will he bring in anubody? Becuz we still have coq, elneny, wilshere in that position, if he brings someone ( big if ), one of them will have to go.... lets not forget ox too can play cm For me the quality of our midfield is too poor to sustain a title challenge. |

Rilwayne001: Your darling Giroud is useless Selling him and using the money to key down Sanchez and Ozil would be great, don't you think? We are not poor. We are the second richest club in England. Ask Forbes. We don't have to sell. |

Rilwayne001: Honestly selling him for that huge price despite his age would be a great profit for arsenal. There's no point keeping him. Why sell? Profit? Thought you guys hated Wenger because of profits? So much for hypocrisy abeg. |

Fkhalifa: I like mahrez but I fear he is another ozil, except lacazette, Sanchez, welbeck and other forwards will be ruthless in front of goal, else mahrez will be another -1 when the team is off the ball..
Giroud needs first team shirt for world cup so its better he leaves, laca can't sit for that amount of money and it will make zero sense to shift laca to the wings like we did in d past for our new intented striker signings, just to accommodate Olivier upfront. Mahrez is a luxury player, but like all luxury players he can also be a game changer. We need competition among our strikers, we have always wanted competition. So Giroud stays for me. |

mystikal: Its becoming increasingly very sure that we will be landing Lacazette (expect him to be nicknamed 'Lucozade' by Nigerians soon), seems like all is clear. But I would have very much preferred Mbappe instead. In terms of natural ability, Mbappe is clearly the better player of the two. His touch is more confident and composed, he is a sharper, more technical dribbler and he has the trickery to work even when the team’s attacking play gets tight. Lacazette cannot replicate the same qualities on a consistent basis as Mbappe can.
However, Lacazette, on the other hand, is 26. He has plied his trade n honed his craft. He has developed his talents, sharpened his abilities, such that he now has the experience and the know-how to deal with the intense pressure that he will be under after such a significant move. The same cannot be said for Mbappe. While the reward may be higher, so is the risk.
The good news in all of this is that Giroud won't be going anywhere. Lyon president has confirmed that Wenger has insisted the big, bearded Frenchman isn't leaving the emirates in any swap deal for lucozade. Apart from all you have said, Mbappe is yet to hit his peak, he has 7 more years to achieve that, while Lacazette has just a year left to reach his max. As at now, Mbappe is even the better player. |

Keky: So, because Giroud starts for France mean he is better than all other strikers. You can as well say Sissoko is better than Dembele or Sakho is better than Koscielny since they both start for France. Cmon man What does it mean if Giroud starts ahead of the other strikers? By the way, neither Sissoko nor Sakho starts for France. |

Nigeria born talents are littered around the globe in the youth teams of clubs. The problem though is that most of them can not be traced by our football authorities, we only get to know them when they shine. Looking at the English U20 squad that won the world cup, one could count about 6 Nigerians as much. Others who are bit older like Dele, Aina, Ibe, etc don't even come to mind. Funny too is that these young men may not be the best of the Nigerian blood since there are no laid down plans or process of harvesting them.
Isn't that enough to know that our problem is not talent but administration? |

But if he wants to leave then Aguero is ok. As for Martial, unless Wenger is seeing vision...useless deal. |

dubylhover: how so? does he sit in front of d defense like pirlo? is he a deep lying creative player?give me examples of deep lying playmakers and tell me how modric relates with them A deep lying playmaker simply drops in front of the defence and builds attack using superior passing range- long (Pirlo), short (Modric) to get play in motion. Few players do that, Wilshere is there, Xavi when he was around, etc. Carrick plays deep but he is never a playmaker. |
