kokaneprodigy: The fact is Wenger is confused at the moment, his press releases are even incoherent lately he's just trying effortlessly to force his gibberish down our throats. Few days ago Wenger admitted he has the money to spend and that he only needs to find the quality, now he is talking about having to pay 600 employees, meaning he suddenly found out the club is broke And please Wenger is Spy's Jesus Christ on earth, mrdojo and co will do well to ignore his defence lines, he's beginning to sound like him lately. Don't ever equate Wenger with Jesus Christ to me. There is absolutely no comparison. If you follow my arguments you will see where I criticise Wenger. I only stated that I respected him for what he has achieved for the club and his howbeit, stubburness in sticking to his beliefs despite a barage of media criticisms. Mind you, if Arsenal sack Wenger today, I will be happy. |

Elxandre: let's compare athletico & arsenal. we know who is richer, but we know who's boss! Simeone is doing a legendary work with Athletico. He has brought pride and relevance to a club lost in Real's oblivion. Hope their fans won't call him deluded in 12years time. The ATHLETICO squad is balanced, they sell well and buy better. Arsenal is 3 players away from becoming balanced. Only if AW and the Board can oblige us. We would win the league. |

Fkforyou: Are you saying the likes of Lamela, Eriksen, Vertoghen and Hugo loris are not players that can compete? Mind you, we wanted to sign them too only for Tottenham to hijack the deal. So what caliber of players are you talking about?
Just because we finish ahead of Tottenham last season should not make you underestimate them....that's how they roll, "In silence".They are improving and are becoming ambitious day by day.
P.S I know we always finish ahead of them...all am saying is that, you should notunderestimate this current Tottenham team. Forget Lamela, the rest are world class but then we got better players- Ozil, Kos, Cech respectively. Yes Totts are improving every year, they are young and the manager is not selling. Gradually they are becoming a force to reckon with. They are in the UCL this year replacing the likes of Chelsea and United. I respect them. My point is the calibre of players we need to sign now should be above the average class that we already have. A striker better than Giroud eg Aguero, Higuain. A midfielder better than Ramsey eg Modric, Rakitic A defender better than Koschielny eg Boateng, Bonnuci Spurs can't sign these guys. |

Fkforyou: Ermmm...If we are at par financially with Tottenham, how comes they are able to sign players year in, year out?
In my own opinion, Wenger is scared of spending money and at the end of the day not able to win something, because then he will be under pressure like other coaches, he is very frugal and timid, (complete opposite of Mourinho who isn't scared to take risk) so he took the simple route, make money for the board and keep his job.
At the end of the day Wenger,is all about himself, his job, his ego and nothing else. I said his ego because, he can't just shed his ego and principle for a second just to please millions of fans who pay to watch him and his team let them down almost every season for the past 12 years.
Wenger is a Selfish Bastard period !!!!!
Enough of the excuses, last 2 seasons Gazidiz was screaming that we have money to spend, fast forward to 2 years later he is saying a different story. Who is fooling who? Your view is absolutely valid, and I believe you. My anger with Wenger and Gazidis is that they have not told us the actual situation of things. I think they are hiding something. Today they make us feel we have money, the next day we are broke. |

sod09: clsp for yourself wal When I look at issues I do so based on critical point analysis. People don't jump into conclusions without looking at the prevailing sequence of events. Arsenal, from my observations are no more than the likes of Tottenham and West Ham. We only became bigger in terms of fan base around 1996. Teams like United and Liverpool have dominated the scenes for long, attesting to their huge number of fans. Chelsea became big since the Abrahamovic money spinning era; Man City with Abu Dhabi. That we are competing with the likes is due to sheer brilliance of AW. He introduced our pattern of play, won us titles including doubles, led us to the new stadium, he brought us here. People complain that he has lost it. I do too. But that does not diminish his efforts and the Board acknowledge that. It does not matter what fans cry about, the Board will stick to Wenger and he to the Board because they know he made us relevant in the first place. Tootenham fans will sacrifice their first sons to equal this history. Sometimes they wonder why we whine. My problem with AW is that he has not opened up to the truth about our financial situation. Again from observation, I could tell that we cannot compete with Man Utd, Chelsea, and Man City in big money transfers. They have benefactors who sponsor them but we don't. We are no better than Tottenham financially, and Their fans don't cry at all. If only you can take some little common sense and analyse issues objectively, you will stop whining and save that heartache for later years. |

Pataki: Lol....
You people are still here arguing about a deluded man who clearly does not know what he is doing again?
Kontinuuuu! I was going through some discussions by Arsenal fans and the general concession was that we complain too much to the detriment of our team's performances. We boo them, we call them average, that is even when they try. These lads are not superstars but they managed to keep afloat every season. Maybe when we support them more they may win titles for us just not Leicester did. Funniest part is, those who spend for the club don't even complain as much as some Nigerian fans who don't even know that London is in the UK. If you want to support a team then do, if not then they should just blip away and go support ManCity. If you feel you are unlucky to love the club, then break up. It's allowed. |

solomonbrown64: ... . So, Iwobi is better than Campbell? Or Walcott or even Chamberlain?..... There is no point arguing with you.. Anyone who watched our first match against Liverpool will tell you that the Iwobi is not ready for the first team yet.... And you say he is better than Campbell and to top it all, you believe we should go into the first half of the season with just Laurent as our only senior Centre back... .. What happens if he gets injured which might happen soon because of the way he stressed himself in the last match ... We then do what, rely on Chambers, huh? ... I am sorry to say but it seems Wenger's Delusion has been transferred to you... If you think Campbell is better than Iwobi, then its a pity. By the way Campbell is not competing with Walcot or Chambo. Koschielny, Ozil and Giroud were given extended breaks because of the Euros. It is normal. We had Per and Gabriel for the first 2 games but unfortunately both got injured, its sad but then that's the reason why we had to use Chambers and Holding. You make due with what you have. Don't tell me about buying, I explained that in previous posts. |

solomonbrown64: ...... Wenger needs therapy, the man has finally lost it. How on earth will he loan out Campbell at age 24, If he doesn't want the guy, he should just sell him off. I don't just understand the hate this man has for the guy, he is far better than those English shiites in all ramifications. ... By the way, Mustafi is starting tonight and Valencia has revealed he is not for sale.... We might just be getting Johnny Evans since West brom have just gotten another Centre back on loan or the deluded man might just stick with Rob.. ...I hope this is his last season, because I can't watch this team play with no desire or interest to win anything, and that is the fault of the manager as he is a terrible motivator...... We keep whining about nothing. Are you in anyway related to Sod09? Rob was fantastic against Leicester. Oh but sorry he didn't cost £55million. Campbell is better than who? Iwobi or Sanchez? Dude needs first team action to reach his potentials. Unless you don't want him to develop. A loan stint at Lisbon is best for him right now and for us in the future. Some fans eh! |

Oasis007: "My generation had lots of physically strong players, in the last five or six years, Arsenal went with more of this type of technical players. The Invicibles had it all.
"Now when I watch Arsenal, they play good football, but I just have a feeling they are missing something - the physical presence, the personality.
"The team is not doing as well as it used to and you need to win football matches. They've been disappointing, losing games they should have won.
"I'm disappointed not to have ex-Arsenal players working at Arsenal, it is good for the young players could see a Thierry Henry, a [Freddie] Ljungberg, or a [Martin] Keown who have been at the club a good few years working in the academy, or working somewhere.
"I think they can do it a bit more, players want to do it but do not have the opportunity.
"I don't understand it, the perfect example is Ajax. You see all the old players working for the club, on the field, in the office - the door is always open for them - but Arsenal don't do it and I don't know why."
- Patrick Viera Let me tell you, Vieira is just pained because of the way Arsene threw him out in 2005 for a 17yr old. Since then he doesn't speak good of Arsenal. How many players you want employ for club? We already have Bould, Ljunberg and Henry recently rejected a chance. We have had Adams, Rice etc. Vieira should rather focus on winning the MLS than talking whining about Arsenal. |

Cbeatz: spy360 chill......as u stated..wenger is the root of his problems...the board is our problem....but the old man seems deluded....on saturday the team i watched was nt the team i fell in love with.....too much sideways passing....walcott....monreal.....sanchez...wenger are underperforming...the ball was like watching a chelsea match ( very nauseatin....dnt know y i put my self through dat hell....they have improved under conte tho)....manutd under vangaal........and for the first time i feel like we are nt gonna make dat top4 this year...... Let me be objective about Wenger. He is very disciplined, brave and focused. Reason... For a man to be in the twilight of his career, having been so much maligned about his lack of titles, could easily have thrown caution to the wind and SPEND just to win titles, but he chose to stick to his beliefs. I respect such a man. In his last interview he said something that touched me, that there are 600 people working in the club who needs to be paid so 'we have to be responsible'. That's selflessness. I have understood that Arsenal is not super rich like the Manchester clubs or Chelsea. The reason we are still relevant is because of where Arsene has brought us. We do not have sugar daddies, our budget is strictly based on accounts. Inflated fees have made it difficult for us to compete in the transfers. As fans we need titles to cheer about, and I believe the Board must take risk but they aren't. It is therefore left for Arsene to clean their asses- which he has been doing perfectly by keeping us among the best. I discovered that when Arsene comes out to defend the transfer policy, he is simply covering the Board and making excuses for them. When I mentioned that he is the architect of his own problems, it is because I needed him to be a little bit selfish and ask for money. Selfishness sometimes is good but on the long run it stings. While I in no means wish to defend Wenger, I want to state that I respect him for sticking to his values. |
