Are you serious? Because he scored two goals today...first team? Abeg o...

Let's celebrate today. He gave us two goals which helped us win against Spurs. He doesn't deserve any negative word but that doesn't mean we should carry it overboard abeg.

For today and the rest of the week, Flamini for president!
Is scoring 2 goals not a strong case?
How many goals has Coquelin scored?

I am not saying he should become the new starter, I am saying he now has a reason to argue why he should get the nod.

He has made a very strong case for a place in the first team.

But come o, didn't you condemn him outrightly before today? Eh? Remember all those 'Wenger sign schneiderlin, sign a DM' rants?

Back to Arsenal now, since we are not certain for how long Le Coq is out, should we replace him with either Flamini or Arteta? Personally, I think we should give Flamini a try-out against the Spurs tomorrow. So here is my team for tomorrow:

------------Ospina----------------
Debauchy-Per-Chambers-Gibbs-
-------Flamini-Ramsey----------
---Oxlaide-huh-Sanchez
------------Giroud----------------
Unless it is a semi final, this Tottenham game is not worth it. You do not want to risk injuries or suspensions for the likes of Sanchez, Oxlaide and Giroud on the more important league matches because of a mere league cup game.

Since it is a private group for the 'big boys', you shouldn't have announced it here to the 'small boys'. Now the 'small boys' want to join, thereby spamming the thread. The same thing you did with your pvu keys. It seems you want to be a star.

Please whenever you want to do your private stuff, don't announce it. Thanks.

I agree, I'm not doubting it; but against shekpe, it cost Assnal AFTER the ref's gaffe by then they're uneven in their numbers, one extra man would have marked the scorer. I can't blame man-marking in that particular match after ref's stupidity. If it was 11-11, I'd then blame the players. The ref and not the players/man-marking cost gayners the match.
True, and besides football is a psychological game. When you are a man down- unjustly, you easily lose focus. That's what happened.

Personally I wouldn't blame the loss on changes, because those changes were necessary. I think it was down to lack of concentration and loss of focus.

Our game plan obviously was to score early, so we attacked vigorously, but Ox lost it defensively, and Giroud became stupiid, and the game slipped away.

On a good day, with good focus, this same line up will beat DZ anywhere.

Next: Chelsea.

From what I hear, David Ospina will start in goal ahead of Petr Cech
Seems Ospina will man the cups.

This Zagreb team are unbeaten in 41games or 11months in all competitions, their confidence is high, we need to be cautious and highly focused.

Walcott may start ahead of Giroud.

@Pataki, Alexis needs rest but not yet.

@All, Before the season started I predicted Chelsea would win the league and Arsenal to finish second; after the second game, I changed my prediction to Man City winning, Chelsea second and Arsenal third. Sorry I have to change it the third time, I won't declare it yet for 'security' reasons, cheesy but Chelsea won't finish above Arsenal, no not this season.

As you can see...

Debo beat me to honest criticisms about Sanchez, he has been not been generous in front of goal this season and maybe because he does not play the CF position or the clout he commands I think he gets a pass, he has not finished a lot of the opportunities, all I want see is some level of efficiency so the pressure of scoring is not burdened on the midfield and it is a gradual process for this roaster and I believe they would get there with some consistency.

Again, we all seem to be waiting until Ozil has a bad night and the bandwagon would descend on him, Ozil has been terrific, many see the assist to Walcott as the highlight of his current season but I challenge them to watch all 5 games we have played this far, he has been the silent engineer orchestrating the final third with a lot of scoring chances that are not converted.

I hope the optimism in the squad continues into Europe and on Saturday against Chelsea which would be a very tricky tie.

#COYG
The thing is that Sanchez's mentality makes up for his shortcomings, the guy is a fighter and so most people overlook his errors.
I am not worried that he has not scored yet, because I want him to take that hunger to Chelsea.

Ozil is the opposite of Sanchez, his temperament betrays him so much that people fail to notice his contribution to the team and to the entire performance of other players. Ozil is the best player we have for now. He is highly technical, the brain box; what Fabregas was to us years back. We hope for a better display against those shekpe people.

(P11 W10 D1 L0) so far for Arsenal. Personally, I am enjoying the partnership of Koscielny and Gabo in the back. Seems BFG might have to settle for other title challenges that Arsenal will be involved with as the season progresses.
Have we taken notice of Cazorla's contribution partnering Coquelin at CM? Apart from the confidence at leadership he brings, the way he orchetrates our transition from defence to attack is mind blowing.

Against Chelsea, our big boys must step into the game and dominate it. They have been great so far.

I'll go for a very boring, cautious display against Chelsea.

They are in a very bad position now and we've already beaten them this season. Mourinho will be cautious not to go all out attack. His defence is also very frail at the moment. So I suspect he will also be defensive (at least in the first half) and rely on counter attacks. This is why I also expect us to be cautious especially since we are currently struggling to convert chances.
It's certainly a game we can win.

We have one game before that though. We need a win there and injury free game.
Since the emergence of Coquelin, our defensive play have greatly improved. He will ensure we are cautious. Gabriel and Kosch will form one of the best partnership in the EPL, both have got speed and power, though Per's experience and match reading may be needed when we wish to close down a game.

Now that our strikers are off the marks, we are confident of getting goals especially as Sanchez would be hungry to score.

We are above them so they must come out to play football, and if they do we will hammer them.

I have never been so confident. Good times.

MOU will play for pride, he'll park the bus like it has never been parked before. Park it, engage the hard brake, turn off the engine, and brace all tyres with big stones. It'll pose a difficult game for us cos he already sees us as threat.
A point against Arsenal at home will not do him any good. He is already 11pts below Man City and would be desperate to win games. He would be cautious but also under pressure to win so as to stay alive in the title race. That would be a perfect set up for the gunners.

Come on! How many of those failed conversions are owned by Alexis, I'm not even worried about him cos I know he will come good eventually ? There's nothing bad having someone score twice as many goals as Alexis, if we really want to win something worth mentioning. Lampard did it in Chelsea while Drogba was topping the scoring charts.
And as for Theo, hmmmm, we hate for it to happpen but how many games are left till his next surgery? These are things we all know

There's nothing to say that hasn't been said before over and over again. I think people are just tired of repeating themselves.
Walcott is a good finisher and perhaps the best finisher at our club (minus Alexis). But I still maintain Giroud should be first choice no9.

I'm glad we won today. It's 3 points plus 3 goals. Doesn't remove the fact that our goal/chances ratio is still too low. Positive is that this means we are creating a lot of chances (creating over 10 chances in a PL game is outstanding). Negative is that our strikers need to do better. Theo scored today but should have had 2 to 3 goals. Even Giroud who played less than 20 minutes managed to miss his first chance. A typical Arsenal game and Stoke would have equalised but thank God that didn't happen.

I must say though that I'm happy with our back 6 ie plus Coquelin and Cech. Gabriel is slowly making that CB position his. Per will have to be satisfied with Cup games now.

3 points and 2 goals. Good for me. Champ's league is next.
I concur.

Chelsea's problem is Mourinho. 'Nothing do those players', they are the champions, Mou is just unable to coach them, the same thing that happened in '07 season.

Mourinho is not as tactically sound as people think. I said it here before, he cannot play except with big expensive signings, big players that win games for him. Failure to sign, and his inability to groom players for the club is the reason he is struggling despite the club having over 30 bright prospects on loan at other top clubs.

I mean what is Stones worth when you have Zouma? If Zouma were to be at Everton, Mou would have been longing for him.

Why sell Shurrle and buy Cuadrado? Ok why loan out Cuadrado, Salah, Moses?

His only tactic is to defend, now that he needs to attack to chase City, he is having problems.

Mou would be sacked at christmas.

2. Community shield is not a title, Che 0-1 Ars
3. Eva Carneiro is naive, Che2-2 Swa
4. We were the better team, City 3-0 Che
5. I needed 4 substitutes, Che 1-2 Cry
6. We were unlucky, Eve 3-1 Che
