noleflendum: Peter Obi should be locked up together with Nnamdi Kanu in the same gulag
That fact that Tinubu's miscreants are always agitated about every comment by Peter Obi shows clearly that they know he didn't win the 2023 elections and so finds every comment as a campaign speech.
They are still campaigning to prove that their criminality in installing the gangster as president was not a mistake.
raumdeuter: The guys story I told briefly was actually my very close friend from primary school. I will call him S. cos his name starts with S. He is a Moslem guy from a polygamous home but his mom was the first wife and was bounced for the newer wife. I don't know if you have encountered all those Moslem guys who learned Quran early, Very sharp with Math's but deficient in English. S was so good with Math's that in primary school that when we go Math's and English. S will score like 95 but his English will be like 60, while the rest of us will probably score 80-80
His mom knew me from primary school and my parents knew him to because prize winning day Math's is sure for him
By the time we got to SS1, He was already reading Engineering Maths by Stroud, Bunday textbook for Maths, he already took GCE and passed but 1 subject, By the time we were in SS2, he passed all the subjects so he never finished Secondary school because he was too good
So when I was in SS3, He already entered OAU Year 1. So when I was entering year 1, I deliberately wanted to stay in the same room so he can rub off him. His Year 1 GPA was about 4.4.
That year we stayed together was when one weed head guy we called "Elder" he was like 28yrs and an extra year student was also in our room that was who started teaching us how to play "Kashi" but my friend took extra interest in it and started the gambling life
In our room pre cell phone, my guy will just disappear for 2 weeks on those gambling trips from one school to another, get into trouble, no transport fare, enter lorry and just wandering around
By my year 3, I continued staying on campus and he moved to town where his life now took a very bad turn
One day his mom came to my house and told my parents that she found weed in commercial quantity in the traveling bag he was taking to school an they should tell me to stop being friends with her son before S corrupts me too
Many years later I tried to reach him and got info that he was still staying with his mom, got involved in an accident that broke his leg, I told him I will sponsor his MSc. I was paying the fees directly to the school (because I knew he would gamble with it). He finished his Masters and got a govt job.
2yrs ago, was when I heard from him that his mom died and I sent money to him for her burial
A wasted talent, I just realized that anything he wanted to do he always went in hard, whether gambling, weed smoking, Maths, Electronics
Apart from supporting a drug lord as president, you be better guy. My guy. 😎
His supporters here who all live abroad, believe he will build Nigeria, 'the way he built Lagos'.
May be that's why they are abroad waiting for him to build Nigeria and are not willing to listen to those who are in the country and are looking for an escape route.
Ibime: There is nothing wrong with pissing in the street. It is the right of a man to stand and ease himself in the bush or corner without having to look for a smelly, bacteria-infested public restroom full of faeces. Urine is almost sterile, non-toxic and safe for the environment. It is coded and approved in the bible. Infact man is described by God as a being that "pisseth against the wall" showing that it is in our very nature to stand and deliver in public
1 Kings 14:10: Therefore, behold, I will bring evil upon the house of Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam him that pisseth against the wall,
2 Kings 9:8 For the whole house of Ahab shall perish: and I will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel:
1 Kings 16:11 And it came to pass, when he began to reign, as soon as he sat on his throne, that he slew all the house of Baasha: he left him not one that pisseth against a wall, neither of his kinsfolks, nor of his friends.
1 Samuel 25:22: So and more also do God unto the enemies of David, if I leave of all that pertain to him by the morning light any that pisseth against the wall.
1 Samuel 25:34: For in very deed, as the LORD God of Israel liveth, which hath kept me back from hurting thee, except thou hadst hasted and come to meet me, surely there had not been left unto Nabal by the morning light any that pisseth against the wall.
If you're a good bible person you should know that whenever the clause is used it's for punishment.
Adebishow: There can't be a state of emergency and the government that mismanaged the peace, business environment, tranquility and order in the state will remain active.
Would the administrator of the state of emergency be taking orders from the executive government of Rivers state or the Federal Government?
Hence, one of the government must be suspended to allow the other one address the challenges, restore order, peace and rule of law in Rivers state.
Go and read the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria - it provides for State of Emergency.
A State of emergency means to take over the security architecture of the state. The governor is no longer the chief security officer of the state. It does not include suspension of the governor or taking over his role or functions.
yewit37486: They are shameless Slaves4life, the 2 of them don't live in this country but never ever fail to blindly defend every single action of the govt. Very two faced individuals who constantly twist black into white. I seriously pity their family members and those who have to interact with them in real life.
In any case, they will eventually reap these seeds they are sowing in a dimension they themselves could not have seen coming. It's a question of time.
They have family members in Nigeria whether close or distant. At least one of them go feel the heat small. One day, they will have to travel back home for the burial. So no problem.
donjazzet: I see that this thread is still subsumed by many people who support this very wicked and deadly government.
Individuals who literally live abroad and have no stake in the affairs of our country but are filled with glee at the wickedness and suffering Nigerians are undergoing. Looking at our lives like pawns on a chessboard.i never believed that educated individuals can be this cynical. It's dumbfounding.
This is the point where we sensible Nigerians should sit down and watch soap opera.
Rivers was the state where the 2023 presidential election rigging was perfected. And all the parties involved in the drama were part of it.
This is the kind of fight I like to separate the fighters by flogging both of them with wire and still go scot free.
raumdeuter: Thats why Natasha should go to court and prove her case. She should stop wasting senate time on frivolities of the man you connected mentally with
I can afford to risk one of my balls to swear that Akpabio don knack that woman before. Both of them should go fk off
raumdeuter: I think inflation in Nigeria and how useless the money became has made people to lose basic sense of numbers. The problem is prevalent in every sector. Every figure in Nigeria must start with billions. I wonder if they still teach Hundreds Tens and Units in primary schools, Maybe its now millions, billions and trillions Random skit about how much for short time, okpos go dey call millions, billions.
There need to be a renewed focus on basic subjects like percentages, probabilities, fractions and another one suggested by afrodoc "electoral Maths"
It will not be well with Tinubu and his praise singers
daveP: We know how to play haram football. So we need to go all out at the Emirates. Let them never ever feel like that Stadium is where they can show their game.
Get a win at the Emirates and either play for the draw at Bernabeu or use the "i did it at your backyard" like Yamal and Barca did months ago.
The truth is they are beatable at Santiago. They're also terrible at setpieces from Cornerkicks, so Jover needs to find how to revive that advantage before that fixture.
As for the nonsense errors that leads to goals that Raya and co at the back have done in last 3 ucl games, we need that removed. It will be terrible playing this guys on both legs and an error gives them the advantage to next stage.
Somewhere along the line, i know Arteta might reason taking this to PK sha knowing Raya is good there. But I don't feel that way. Plus Courtois is even better at PK.
Studying the Madrid encounter, simeone actually attacked them. He also controlled the middle for longer periods. Then Real woke up unexpectedly in extra time.
If Partey plays, i won't expect much run and recovery duels from him. But he will control a lot.
We need to also score from that region that Zinchenko score vs PSV. We need goals from there. Madrid are super comfy when teams play from L-R, holding possession. Cos counter too sweet for them.
We can. But we must upgrade the mentality and reduce any nonsense indiscipline(like useless yellow cards that can make one miss next game or clumsy red cards) cos those two are protected gaaan(Vini and Mbappe)
iamoyindamola: The pundits are advising arteta not to bottle the second position as the first is out of reach Somehow we have been dragged into top4 battle
Pundits like Gary Neville, Roy Keane etc. Failed managers 😂
raumdeuter: APC was funded in Febrary 2013, 2 yrs before the 2015 election and the Anti PDP were all collapsing into the APC basket. By that time they already settled on a Northern Presidential candidate
Today which is 2yrs to another election, The anti APC are scattering themselves around
This coalition who and what region will be the presidential candidate and who will be the VP?
No worry. Nigerians have rejected APC. That's the key point
Na Grok go dey expose our thieving politicians now.
He was focused in fixing the broken ones. That more commendable than saying he built new schools. The result also showed taking Anambra from 26th to 1st in education indices.
Guess Tinubu built the school he after he graduated from it.
El Rufai split anti APC votes to SDP Obi split anti APC votes to Labor Party Kwankwanso split anti APC votes to NNDP Atiku splits anti APC votes to PDP
That's how APC wins a 2nd term. Whoever do this juju for APC wey put their opponents in confusion really sabi work
Last time you split the anti APC votes into 3 and it didn't work, this time lets split it into 4
Let's pretend that you don't know about the coalition.
1BillionThumbs: El-Rufai just ported to the Social Democratic Party (SDP) after consultattions with the immediate past president, Buhari, former vice president Atiku Abubakar of PDP, and Tinubu's once right-hand man and former governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola.
Up North now, there is Buhari who is in APC but not in APC (he clearly didn't want Tinubu for president except for the "emilokan" outburst), Kwankwaso of NNPP and the Kwankwasiya Movement, now El-Rufai of SDP, then finally Atiku of PDP. All formidable splinters of the opposition.
In the South, we have current president Tinubu of APC, Peter Obi of Labour Party (LP), and Omoyele Sowore of African Action Congress (AAC). The strongest of these three politically and at the same time the least liked is Tinubu. Peter Obi has the more popularity over Sowore and the most acceptance across the national strata of the three.
Tinubu, though the president, has become even less marketable due to untold economic hardships and hunger brought on the Nigerian masses by his leadership policies -- such as has never been experienced before in the history of the country. Both up North and down South, the general sentiment about him is of regret. The average man won't want to vote him again even with pay (though I won't be too surprised, this is Nigeria where the people are too quick to forget).
Enter Peter Obi
Sowore, despite being the best of the three, if integrity and consistency are yardsticks, still lacks the political reach and structure to realistically emerge victorious. His day will come and I await eagerly for it like the dawning of a new age. And with him out, we're left with Peter Obi and his Obidient movement.
Agreed, the current president, who is a Southerner, is a disaster, nevertheless, it is still the turn of the South. The North was allowed to complete their 8 years in Buhari. The South must also do the same, though not in Tinubu as no one can bear to have him anymore. His ousting for someone from the same region to take over is not only an answer to the heaves and sighs of the suffering and impoverished people of Nigeria, it also serves the political interests of many that he has had a falling out with (and he has no shortage of those, literally the entire North, South and every honest Nigerian).
To honour the region-by-region power-sharing arrangement, the North is most likely going to align with Peter Obi to wrest the throne from Tinubu and APC with hope that he (Obi) would agree to only do the single remaining turn of the South and then let power revert to them in the North. El-Rufai will fight tooth and nail to see this happen much like Rotimi Amaechi did to remove Jonathan and usher in APC and Buhari. It has begun.
You made a huge blunder with Sowore being the better than PO.
Fkforyou: You know I’m getting sick and tired of our fan base trying to place blame on the owners for our failures this season.
Yes, we should have reinforced this January. But you see that talk of the owners not backing Arteta, make una dead that talk.
He was backed for 4 consecutive seasons with no reasonable return on investment and just this season that he did not get enough funds, we want to use that as an excuse to blame the owners for our failures.
Okay, what about last season and the season before, was it the owners fault that he did not deliver.
You guys keep hammering on the owners as if they pick money on the ground. Let him win something and prove himself and see if the owners will not break the bank for him.
They are not getting return on investment and we want to keep blaming them holding on a bit.
We Arsenal Fans like to Gaslight ourselves, na why other fans think we are delusional.
Making one excuse or the other for our inability to win something instead of calling ourselves out and holding everyone accountable and on high standards.
iamoyindamola: lol, zinchenko is 4 years or viera How many times are we giving you players he got every season? You can go and dig up old posts
This line of argument is too weak.
You cannot be talking about 2024/25 season and you're referring to players bought years ago as if the problems we have now and then are the same or that the level of quality of players will remain constant.
What matters is what he needed to do to win the league this season.
Roland17: Arteta please leave my club! This is total nonsense!! I don’t know any type of positive you take away from this tasteless performance.
We dominated Man United throughout the game. Forcing them to a low block defensive approach in their home stadium.
With the above, as far as I am concerned, the manager did his job.
If the players fail to score it's them. If the players are not the level of quality required, it's the owners.
The manager did his job.
Same thing happened in almost every game including the ones we lost.
I can't blame Arteta when his tactics clearly dominated the opponents own.
Minus a top quality player like Bruno, Man United were beaten. That we don't have the level of quality cannot be Arteta's fault. The owners should bring out the money and buy quality players.
If you as a fan can't see this, then you're fuelling the irresponsibility of the owners to continue hoarding the money.
Bring another manager, if the owners continue like this, then it would be even worse
