I plainly said it in that post that the definition is a wrong definition of stamina that we were taught while we were growing up and I suspect that's still same definition you're holding onto till now. It's really surprising that you're equating stamina and weight when it has absolutely nothing to do with it.

It's even more surprising that you still held that wrong definition till now and you're using it to argue.

Hope say you no dey among those wey still believe say India win Nigeria 99-1 and that one goal was scored by Samuel Okwaraji which ultimately caused his death?? grin
To develop stamina you need weight. That's my point and it is true.

Lol.. stamina is stamina. Weight is weight.

Your mistake is from the basics. You don't know the correct definition of stamina yet you're using the wrong definition to argue. O wrong nau!!

Nothing concerns stamina concerns whether a player can easily be brushed off the ball easily
The bolded is wrong. I challenge you to give a word to replace stamina if you think you are right.

Stamina is a very generic word. That was the reason why I brought up the term force. Force too is a very generic word. Push is force, alo pull is force, weight is force, effort is force and load is force. Same way stamina is generic. It can mean endurance, strength, tough, resistance etc.

When a player is easily brushed off we all rightly say that he lacks stamina.

You can have weight and still lack Stamina. Stamina refers to how long you can apply your weight. All those training clips where you see the players run around without the ball is majorly geared at improving their stamina.

The boxing you used as an example is just manipulation on your part. That they measure their weights is to prevent giving one party an undue advantage during fights. It has nothing to do with stamina. Stamina depends on the boxer himself. Nothing concern the regulating bodies with the stamina of the boxers.
I agree. But...

Was the bolded what you meant when you said Fabio Vieira lacks stamina?

Remember no twisting of narrative.

I never had any earlier definition. The first one I gave was the wrong misconception of definition about stamina which I believe is what you're referring

What You're saying and what most.ob is saying is two different things and your weight/stamina is wrong
So what type stamina was Mostob referring when he mentioned Fabio Vieira? The type that led to my weight = stamina?

What important quality do Marathon runners possess?
Endurance is a form of stamina.

Being able to withstand a force of push or pull is also a form of stamina. All of us that started this argument knows the kind of stamina we were referring to. Even Jodera defined it in one of his post. So I am surprised at how he chose to twist issues.

The player who was in focus was Fabio Vieira. And we all know what Fabio needs as a player and it is not ability to run for long distances. So let's not twist the narrative.

Lmaoo... To stop beating around the bush and cut the chase.
Stamina is all about endurance and the ability not to tire quick.

How is that the same as Weight with respect to what Mo.stob said?
Even though you are right, this is just an aspect of stamina. Doesn't this contradict your earlier definition?

Mostob knows that this is not what we are talking about. Follow your earlier definition or have you changed mouth?

What we are debating here is about STAMINA and WEIGHT. Why are you trying to twist your way out? Tell us the difference between the two.
If you have weight it means you have stamina. Any questions?

If a player wants to have stamina, he increases his weight.

In boxing, they have weight categories because someone with more weight has more stamina.

Is Jesus a winger?

Ok let's assume he is a LW, then Duberry will now feel he has no hope to play? That is he believes he cannot play with those two? If this is the kind of mentality that Duberry has, I support Arteta to begin to look for another LW because I don't want to be seeing this kind of mediocrity mentality around Emirates next season.

It's the setup. And even with the setup he's still one of those covering himself in glory.

All England players are underwhelming and it's not just Saka. From Bellingham to Foden to Rice to Kane. It's just crazy.

I just hope they'll get their groove in the knockout
The problem England has is that they want Kane to score all the goals and yet instead of him to stay at CF, he keeps dropping deep into the hole that Bellingham and Foden loves to drift into and overcrowding it.

The line up is OK. It's the transition that has problems. If Kane wants to drop deep then either Saka or Foden should be making the late runs from the wing as inverted forwards. If Saka and Foden should stay compact then Kane should remain upfront so others can create for him. Then what's wrong if Bellingham joins Kane as second striker?

Na overhype dey worry this England team. When you start calling your dog Lion it will see leopard and go and challenge it.

Arteta and Edu specifically stated they don't want Vieira to bulk up. I posted the news here sometimes back. The reasons he has not really find his spot here is due to his recent injuries and the fact that he has not really shown any spark in training.

There has been a noticeable change in Yamal since he made his debut bro. Diet definitely contributed to this.
I didn't see the bolded when you posted it. Why would they not want him to gain stamina? Actually if saw that news I'd call it fake right away.

He is not foolish please. If Duberry is my brother, I would give him the same advice. He has two wingers ahead of him and Arsenal is still being linked to another winger. Maybe he should have waited a bit but I wouldn't call him foolish for leaving.

Just that he should have signed a new contract and request for a loan move. At least build something on loan and find a good club to join.
Which wingers are ahead of him? Nelson? Lol grin

If he cannot bench Nelson he should follow your advice and f off really quick. grin

Dubbery and Ethan were regularly training with the senior team this past season. Duberry was attached to Saka and Ethan was attached to Odegaard. Reason why it seemed Ethan and Ode played similarly when the former came as sub against WestHam. That should convey some intent right?

Dubbery did the right thing by moving on. I wish him well in his career.
For me Duberry is foolish to leave. I mean there is a big hole in the team (a backup for Saka) that has not been filled and the club may be considering him and yet he wants to leave. Mumu. Where will he go self? Highest he will join Forrest and after two seasons max they will be relegated. Saka that they are envying had to start at left back.

Arsenal that can afford a 50m backup will not miss him at all.

Do you know how many players who were really thin but have bulked up just because of their talent.

Let's take F.Viera for example. You think if arsenal wants to bulk him up they won't?

Do you see Yamal when he started and Yamal this Euros?

Omorr, Forget, you deh underestimate science and nutrition in sports cheesy cheesy
You dey compare 16yo Yamal that is still growing?

Bros, if there was a way to bulk up Vieira to become like Adama Traore e for don happen since. What I am saying is that nutrition and exercise can add 10-20kg max. If you are 60kg it will take you to 80max with serious effort o. To play football at top level you have to be about 100kg.

I am a science man myself. I live in a lab. So I cannot underestimate science.

So this guy has been asking my sister out for sometime now but my sister refused. Only for the guy to tell her that he is going to kill her, stab her to death and that he'll kill himself too after. I wouldn't have been bothered by the threats if not for the fact that the said guy is a very mentally unstable person, i don't even know how he got my sisters number. He lives in our street literally knows where we live. I don't think my sis is safe will such person on the loose and we're considering reporting the threats to the police, but the thing now is that they might release him later since he hasn't committed any serious offence and i don't want my sister to be the one he kills before he goes to jail for good..

nlfpmod Mynd44 farano OAM4J Dominique

1. Trace the guy's family. Meet his parents and inform them of the threats.
2. Report the matter to the police but don't lock him. The police will invite him and do their job.
3. Relocate your sister.
4. Alert the neighborhood. Especially the local security or vigilante group to keep an eye on the guy.

The good thing you are doing is that you are not taking the threats lightly.

Gbam! That's the point o.
Jo.de.ra said something about having strong and reliable bench for next season. I don't see how promoting academy players who are untested will help us achieve this.
The likes of Nelson, Trossard, Kiwior, etc needed playing time. Others like ESR, Partey, Jesus that got injured and recovered needed playing time to gain full fitness. The team itself needed more minutes to blend with each other. There was no way Arteta was going to leave all these for academy players that don't want to wait for their time. Very soon now after the Euros, clubs will begin preseason training and friendlies. That's a good time to prove to the manager that he can be a good backup.

Forget some of these academy players know that they can't challenge the senior boys and so may want to leave. If they believe in themselves let them stay and convince the coach. No matter how stubborn you think the Coach is, one day he will need you and call you to warm up. That's how Trossard started seeing games ahead of Martinelli and Kiwior ahead of Zinchenko etc. Even Deschamps had no choice but to invite Saliba even if it means playing him out of his usual position.

Lol..
You're mistaken what I said.
I never said nutrition is a golden rule to avoid injuries, I just said it helps to avoid recurring injuries like the one of dem diaby and presently Tierney. Nutrition and good physios and training regimen would help improve such limitations (the thin bones thin muscles examples you gave). The way you're making it sound, it's as if nothing can be done once those players have that limitations, they're unfortunately left to themselves and we need to unfortunately "accept it". That's not what I'm agreeing to

Injuries is part of football no doubt but when it's getting too much and frequent then something needs to be done. And for something that needs to be done, it's up to the individual to make it work cos they're strict disciplines for one to undergo. That's just my point.

Thank goodness you brought the example of Wenger. Since he introduced that nutrition regimen into their diet, it was claimed that arsenal players mostly hardly go into injuries and they were more fitter and faster. It was like that in years 2000(or so), Arsene bragged the he saw himself going unbeaten in the league which he did. And even at that, some players still secretly violated the rule (I think Ray parlor or so claimed to always sneak in ketchup that was banned and he have a secret agreement with one of the kitchen staff)

That's to tell you the power of nutrition. Then add training routines/regimen and good physios. Then add discipline.

Tell me why a player with such limitations won't improve?
How does that nullify that not all people are built for sports? Have you seen thin bones before? I mean really thin bones and muscles 😂 like that of Sylvester in my area? Lol 😂

Bros, no nutrition go save Silve if those bones break. Lol 🤣
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by Spy360(m): 4:01pm On Jun 22
Jodera:

On the question you asked, Go and read about Messi. (Especially his growing up)
Also read about Dembele in Barca. How his indiscipline caused him to be having injuries 24/7. At a point, they even have to appoint personal chef for him to be doing a laid out planned meals/nutrition for him but he doesn't follow it and sometimes still eat foods that were not recommended (pizza mostly). Also he reportedly doesn't sleep enough due to him playing video games at night. All these things were the cause of his incessant injuries that I'm even surprised how Barca still put up with him for years
Are you wondering now that he's married and calm, he suddenly stop getting recurring injuries from his last years at Barca up to now at PSG? I guess his body was suddenly "built for football"

I also gave you another example of Partey saying he'll cut down on noodles last season (beginning of 22/23 season) and miraculously, he played and was available for most of the season.

Tbh, it's very very difficult to follow such nutrition strictly.
Lol 😂
The way you talk about nutrition as if it's the golden rule to avoiding injuries. See my note below. Meanwhile...

1. Why don't you tell me what happened to Messi.
2. What injury did Dembele have and how does that relate to not built for sports.
3. When did Partey start having injuries? When he started eating noodles or when he began old and his muscles could no longer cope? Which one?

Notes
I agree that nutrition and training helps players to stay fit. Wenger used to insist on placing players on boiled chicken for muscular protein. That may have worked but it obviously didn't work for Diaby and RVP. So while nutrition helps, that does not mean that any player that has recurring injuries, is not taking nutrition and training seriously. That will be an exaggeration and an insensitive allegation.

Secondly, science and technology helps. But it can only help you if there's something to build upon. A player who naturally has thin bones or muscles will always struggle with rigorous sports compared to those with thick muscles and bones. This is a fact you must accept. Science may help strengthen the muscles but it will not be like when it is natural. Example is use of steroids.

Everyone is against academy players leaving. The question is how is it Arteta's fault?

Is he the one coaching the academy? Or is he the one fixing contracts for the players?

Last season most of our bench players hardly got playing time because we exited both the FA cup and the Carabao cups early. Or you want him to play academy in a PL or CL match? When there are other senior players (both those in bench and returning from injury) that haven't seen enough minutes?
