This lady situation is so unfortunate No anti venom in hospitals, I doubt there are any anti venom anywhere. My sister was a victim of snakebite too it was an ancient man that saved her. He sucked out the blood and tore the whole of her affected leg, he was also able to find and kill the snake. That was when I took snake documentaries seriously there's no species of snake I can't differentiate just for my safety. Very unfortunate because they could have gone into the village and a lot of people would have provided traditional alternatives. Urbanisation has made us too unsafe |

WizardOfNG: There is no way you can keep a State clean when it is burdened unfairly by humongous inward migration, month on month and year on year, from other States of Nigeria.
Lagos cannot work magic against physical challenges and Nigerians tend not to never see this because most view themselves blameless while pointing the finger at leaders over everything.
There is no magic that can be worked to counter massive influx of people, in a short period of time, into a geographical space that cannot physically handle that near overnight population explosion.
It is not possible and it is Nigerians, because they are unreasonable and irresponsible plus largely ignorant, who believe the entire population of several states of Nigeria can be combined and squeezed into the smallest State in Nigeria with no serious negative consequences for town planning and urban management.
No need for redundant back and forth. Nairalander should simply get professional input, we all have to respect, by showning this post to urban, town and regional planning professionals plus experts in specialized fields like civil engineering, public health, and environmental science. You excuse is a lazy man's excuse. Does Lagos attract more people than New York or London? |

germaphobe: teams have seen that low blocks frustrates Arsenal, so they're keeping to that. It is left for the coach to find a suitable way of breaking them and creating chances, we can't be blamed for how other teams approach us, but we can be blamed for how we respond to it. One solution is to attack through the middle and it seems Arteta found a solution last night using Havertz. With his ability to play with back to goal, Havertz can occupy the space between the defense and midfield just behind someone like Gyokeres. This will eliminate one midfielder as we do not need men there given the low block. It will also reduce delays during transition getting the ball across the midfield to attackers. The problem is that one of our midfielders will be sacrificed. |

germaphobe: we always forget that epl has changed so much. No team allows you that space to play that kind of 2023 ball. Especially against us. You will watch other matches and see how teams are willing to risk and play ball, but once they meet us, they are comfortable sitting back and frustrating our free flow. But like you said, it is left for the manager to change that. But one thing is certain, we can never be as free as 3 seasons ago when the league wasn't more physical You're right. Plus many teams are now relying on low block defending to nullify Arsenal. This makes the burden or load required to overcome to score a goal to increase. Then after exerting many energy doing that, defending it becomes another challenge |

BlueRayDick: This post of yours is not based on fact, but solely based on fallacy that has been pushed by the media against arsenal this season.
1. As of 16th January 2026, when Sky sports did an analysis of goals set piece goals scored in the EPL thus far, Arsenal had only scored 14 set piece goals out of total 40 goals scored in the EPL. Man Utd followed closely with 13 set piece goals out of 36 goals in the EPL. If you look through the attached graph you will see other teams with the respective number of set piece goals they've scored in the EPL as at 16th January 2026 when the data was compiled.
How do you arrive at the conclusion that Arteta set up arsenal to heavily rely on set-piece goals when data available didn't show a gulf between arsenal and other teams as far as set piece goals is concerned.
2. If your personal opinion about set-piece goals not being sustainable is to be believed, then we can all agree that the other teams like Man utd, Newcastle, Chelsea and Aston Villa will also witness sharp decline in their goal returns going forward abi no be so?
3. Anybody who read your post up there would think maybe 70% of Arsenal's goals this season was scored through set-piece. Data available showed that as of yesterday, we've only scored just 35% of our goals through set piece which is not even far off from what Teams like Chelsea and Man Utd that don't have media focus on them tally as well.
https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/13493842/arsenal-and-liverpool-rank-as-best-and-worst-from-set-pieces-as-premier-league-clubs-embrace-trend-between-the-lines
Yesterday match was one of our worst, but we still had shots on target that were not set piece related. I agree we have a creativity issue that needs to be sorted out ASAP, but let's not make it seem like what Arsenal has been doing all season is score corners and park the bus afterwards. Once again you are spot on with your facts based thinking. I think what's attracting this attention to our set piece is that we have used it more effectively. Our set peice goals have come at the right times compared to others |

Shey that wan na captain. Make dem first shave that his head before collecting the band from him. Tueh.. I don't like this rhetoric about Odegaard. After Saka he is the best player we have. Instead direct your attack on Arteta. Odegaard is playing to instructions because of Arteta's obsession with control and ball possession. Arteta should reduce this intention to have over control and unleash his boys. I can't find any other AM is creative as Odegaard in the PL right now if unleashed. Not even Fernandes |
