RomanceRe: The Age Gap And Meeting Boyfriends' Mother For The First Time. by Spyker: 12:41pm On Oct 21, 2010
Morayo2906:
I'm 34 and he is 24.

I do not look my age. In fact, I have to carry around ID to prove my age.

He says I look 25. The visual aspect really isn't a problem.

And his mum does not know how old I am.
Since she doesn't know, you have a 10% chance that this will work out when she knows. Secondly, is your BF ready for marriage because he is just 24 and quite young, have you thought about him asking you to wait till he is 27 or 28, that would mean you will be clocking 37 or 38.
IMHO, quit the relationship if the visit to his mum doesn't produce the effects or reaction you expected.
Goodluck.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Houses Burnt, One Killed In Rivers Over Chelsea by Spyker: 12:31pm On Oct 21, 2010
I just can imaging how senseless and stupid some persons can be over a football match that was played in Europe and has no direct benefit to them. What a senseless way to loose ones precious life.

RomanceRe: The Age Gap And Meeting Boyfriends' Mother For The First Time. by Spyker: 12:28pm On Oct 21, 2010
Are you saying you are 10years older than your BF and wants to meet his mother?
How do you look physically, do you appear to be very old for him or an age mate or younger? Your appearance is the first thing you will be judged on and I tell you, you will certainly meet a brick wall if your bf's mum discovers the age gap (that is if she doesn't know) otherwise if she is aware of the age difference and still encourages her son, then you are one lucky woman.

10years is a huge gap between a man and a woman if the man is the younger.

OK. You win.

Kill all the law enforcement officers for failing to prevent the bombings.
Sorry bro, this is not a competition, you are entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mind. All the same, we want all this to stop.
I never said "kill', i said prosecute. At least show them the road Onovo went, immediate retirement. It's very shamful.

Please dont start.

America with all her powers was warned about the September 11 attack - yet it happened- Same in Britain -

Please dont say what you know nothing about.
America or Britain is not Nigeria, the Police are not doing their work whether you like it or not or do you need a soothsayer to make you see their faults in the form of Boko Haram, Abia kidnapping, bomb blast here and there, arm robbery and rape, whose duty is it, mine?
PoliticsRe: Abuja Naija @50 Bomb Blast In Pictures by Spyker: 1:27pm On Oct 02, 2010
I guess it will take an entire nation to convince me that the intelligence agencies did not know of this threat while CNN and BBC knew about it and the British intelligence informed them. Well, they are busy collecting N20 and N50 from commercial drivers while their counterparts in other countries are doing their job. If I were Mr. President, i will prosecute all the security chiefs in the country and charge them for negligence. Those lives lost are on their hands. Ignorance and negligence should not be an excuse when it comes to human life.

And MEND or AMEND or DESTROY or whenever you guys call yourselves, SHAME ON YOU, you are no different from the crooks in Government you are attacking.
RomanceRe: Pastors’ Advice On Chastity Earns Me Menopause As Spinster by Spyker: 3:09pm On Oct 01, 2010
I usually have this quote on the first page of all my books, this thread reminds me of it.

"You should not be heavenly conscious and earthly foolish".

I think the lady or rather old lady was very very earthly foolish to the point that her so-called Pastors have abandoned her.
Anyway, God has not abandoned her, she can start by adopting a child or even adopt any of her sister's kids and train them up. If the child is well brought up, she would regret been her old age, at least some one will be there for her.

grin grin grin grin grin grin Do you mean our Golden Governor who govern the state that laid the golden egg should serve 3,000 years when plea bargaining is the order of the day? You better wake up.

See, what is worth doing is worth doing well. If you want to steal, steal millions and billions, if possible, steal Nigeria's budget and you will not get more than 3 years.

your contribution shows that you know little of nigeria constitution.Section 305 of the 1999 constitution empowers the president of Nigeria to declare a state of Emergency in Nigeria or in any part of nigeria provided 2/3 of the state house of assembly sanctioned the declaration.It's a matter of constitutionality.
Did you read where I said only a Presidential fiat can be used to fight this problem? What do you understand by that statement. Did you also read where I said Legislature need to pass that into Law? I may be wrong in saying pass that into law (mind you, I am not a lawyer and I am not interested in studying law). This is a lay man's view.

PoliticsRe: 50 Reasons Why We Should Celebrate Nigeria by Spyker: 1:36pm On Sep 28, 2010
md4real:
this piece is from a friend's note on facebook.

As October 1 approaches, HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY……………………

I have enormous tracts of land and vast volumes of water, but cannot feed myself.

So I spend $1 billion to import rice and another $2 billion on milk.

I produce rice, but don’t eat it. I have millions of cows but no milk.

I am 50, please celebrate me.

I drive the best cars in the world but have no roads,

so I crush my best brains in the caverns,

craters and crevasses they crash into daily.

I am in unending mourning,

please celebrate me.

My school has no teacher and my classroom has no roof.

I take lectures through windows and live with 15 others in one room.

All my professors have gone abroad, and the rest are awaiting visas.

I am a university graduate, but I am illiterate. I want a future,

please celebrate me.

Preventable diseases send me to hospitals without doctors, medicines or power.

All the nurses have gone abroad and the rest are waiting to go also.

I have the highest maternal and infant mortality rates in the world;

and future generations are dying before me. I am hopeless, hapless and helpless,

please celebrate me.

For democracy’s sake I stood all day on Election Day.

But before I could ink my thumb, results had been broadcast.

When I dared to speak out, silence was enthroned by bullets.

My leaders are my oppressors, and my policemen are my terrors.

I am ruled by men in mufti, but I am not a democracy.

I have no verve, no vote, no voice,

please celebrate me.

My youth have no past, present nor future.

So my sons in the North have become street urchins;

and his brothers in the South have become kidnappers.

My nephews die of thirst in the Sahara and his cousins drown in the Mediterranean.

My daughters walk the streets of Lagos , Abuja and Port Harcourt;

while her sisters parade the streets of Rome and Amsterdam .

I am grief-stricken,

please celebrate me.

Pen-wielding bandits have raided everything in my vaults.

They walk the land with haughty strides and fly the skies with private planes

They have looted the future of generations unborn;

and have money they cannot spend in several lifetimes,

but their brothers die of starvation. I want a kit of kindness,

please celebrate me.

I can produce anything, but import everything.

So my toothpick is made in China; my toothpaste is made in South Africa;

my salt is made in Ghana; my butter is made in Ireland;

my milk is made in Holland; my shoe is made in Italy;

my vegetable oil is made in Malaysia*** my biscuit is made in Indonesia;

my chocolate is made in Turkey and my table water made in France.

My taste is far-flung and foreign,

please celebrate me.

*** To think that Malaysia came to NIFOR in Edo State in the 70's to acquire the Palm Oil Technology

My land is dead because all the trees have been cut down;

flooding kills thousands yearly because the drainages are clogged;

my fishes are dead because the oil companies dump waste in my rivers;

my communities are vanishing into the huge yawns of gully erosion, and nothing is being done.

My very existence is uncertain and I am in the deepest depths of despondence,

please celebrate me.

I have genuine leather but choose to eat it.

So I spend billions of dollars to import fake leather.

I have four refineries, but prefer to import fuel,

so I waste more billions to import petrol. I have no security in my country,

but send troops to keep peace in another man’s land.

I have hundreds of dams, but no water.

So I drink ‘pure’ water that roils my innards.

I need a vision,

please celebrate me.

I have a million candidates craving to enter universities,

but my dungeons can only accommodate a tenth.

I have no power, but choose to flare gas,

so my people have learnt to see in the dark and stare at the glare of unclothed flares.

I am shrouded by darkness,

please celebrate me.

For my golden jubilee,

I shall spend 16 billion naira to bash around the bonfires of the banal.

So what if the majority gaze at my possessed, frenzied dance;

drenched in silent tears, as probity is enslaved in democracy’s empty cellars?

I am profligacy personified,

please celebrate me.

Why can I not simply reflect and ponder?

Does my complexion cloud the colour of my character?

Does my location limit the lengths my liberty?

Does the spirit of my conviction shackle my soul

Does my mien maim the mine of my mind?

And is failure worth celebrating?

I AM NIGERIAN, PLEASE CELEBRATE ME
Is this worth celebrating?
PoliticsRe: Gej Should Declare A State Of Emergency In Abia State (aba): by Spyker: 1:31pm On Sep 28, 2010
While I support the posting of military personnel into Aba, I should also inform this forum that "in a democratic setting, a State of Emergency" is never declared on a State. You need the Legislature to pass that in to law before it can be enforced. Only a presidential fiat can be used to fight this problem.
I still remember the "hands up" days in Port Harcourt when cult groups besieged the city shooting sporadically, the then Governor Omehia brought in the military and imposed a curfew in the State (which Peter Odili could not do with all his influence) who fought and chased the criminals who call themselves militants into the creeks. I think Orji should start by imposing a curfew in the State and tend invite the military since we have a failed Police force whose main aimed of carrying weapons is to extort money from Commercial drivers and protect themselves alone.
Governor Amaechi should also increase the security around the Oyigbo axis of Rivers State before these hoodlums return to Port Harcourt.

What r these allegations u talk of? as far as we all know, not 1 single allegation has been mentioned & u r here supporting EFCC for no reason at all. Pure Prejudice.
I am not supporting EFCC, what I am against is demonstrations on cases bordering on corruption. If we can mobilise and demonstrate that EFCC is a political tool, we should equally demonstrate on bad leadership.
Hope you remembered the YEAA (Youths Ernestly Ask for Abacha), the Co-ordinator Kalu (hope i got his name right) ran away with millions of Abacha's loot and was lambasting Abacha from Europe. If we must change this country, we should allow our leaders answer to cases of corruption and if the allegation is false, they will come out vindicated.
Was it not the same EFCC who investigated Babatunde Fashola or it is another one. Did Fashola mobilise people to demonstrate like we have in Rivers State? No.

This demonstrations against EFCC is an international embarassment no matter how you look at it. No where in the world that people demonstrate against the anti-graft agency. if you know one, please enlighten us.

Not even your own mother? Glad you found a new girl though.
Have you not seen mothers who advise their children wrongly? Don't you see mothers who love one child more than the other and who do anything for the child they love most? I said only GOD deserves 100% trust and I won't change my statement. I trust my mother always but I reserve 100% for my God, it is only God that can make me trust my fellow human being without having reservations about that person.
Specialist900:
isn't the new girl a woman?
Yes, she is a woman but women can change. For now I trust her but I won't give her 100% trust.
RomanceRe: 2 B Faithful Is It A Crime by Spyker: 6:51pm On Sep 27, 2010
Until I was cheated on, i hated seeing guys or ladies being unfaithful, but after I tasted the bitter part of relationship called cheating, I just wanted to cheat back as well, but in the end, I met a wonderful girl who has assured me of her unflinching love and trust though I still don't trust any woman.

To me, to be faithful is not a crime, but to trust 100% is the crime and that is what you get (unfaithfulness) when you trust someone 100%. Only God deserves that much trust, not even your own child.

Nigeria is a funny country indeed.

It was demonstrations against EFCC in Rivers State, now it's Lagos Traders. Soon, the entire country will demonstrate.

I wonder why no body ever demonstrates against non-performance but when they are asked to answer allegations of corruption, they arrange people to demonstrate saying it is politically motivated. Even traders now use the term "politically motivated".

In Countries that have zero tolerance to corruption, once your name is mentioned in any corruption scandal, you are asked to resign until proven not guilty. Here in Nigeria, it is otherwise. We have no shame.

I patiently read your pathetic story and i appreciate your sincerity in revealing some of them to us.
First of all, don't start a relationship on lies, it destroys relationship the truth eventually comes out. Tell your fiancée the truth about the relationship. If she is a good girl, she will accept the baby and bring her up like hers otherwise, you are in for trouble.

Secondly, you are not legally married to the girl which means you have little right to claim paternity of the baby. If she refuses to let you see your baby, stop sending money to her. Tell her you won't spend money on the baby anymore if she doesn't allow you access to your child.
