Politics / Re: Rivers State Targets 24-hour Power Supply by Spyker: 6:35pm On Oct 04, 2011
It seems Rivers people are just waking up, they are yet to realize that this man Amaechi does not have a programme or Agenda for the state. His first tenure was a blank copy of Omehia's programme yet he failed to execute them, his second tenure is a complete fallacy, no agenda, no destination, just a tenure for piling up huge debt under the cover of projects.
Now it is my time to laugh or should I weep?
Travel / Re: Why Is Everyone After Uk And Usa Visas? by Spyker: 6:30pm On Oct 04, 2011
The reason is simple. They are the world power now, when the power was with the Romans, the entire world was shouting Roman, the entire bible was written citing only Romans, so, now the entire world is shouting USA, UK because that's simply where the power is. The day power shifts to another country, no one will sing America again, it will sound like Germany during the time of Hitler.
As for economic reason, you can make it anywhere even in Nigeria, it all depends on luck.
Business / Re: Is Cyber Cafe Business Going Extinct In Nigeria? by Spyker: 4:23pm On Sep 30, 2011
I own a Cafe and have about 24 Computers. It would have closed up a long time if not that it is located in our family structure, I do not pay rents.
Secondly, I complement the cafe with a Business Centre, a Game centre and a Computer training centre.
Cafe business is seasonal like most businesses but very little profit. The bulk of your profit goes into power and ISPs, the more speed required by you, the more you pay the ISPs. But, I have a policy, don't ever close a struggling business, instead try to sustain it by adding some other services.
Almost all my customers own a laptop and MTN, glo or Starcomms modern yet they always come back to the cafe. The reason is that, not all of them have spiral binding machine, photocopy machine, ink or toner, scanner in one place, something must bring them in hence modification is necessary.

I am still looking for more ideas to add to what I have.
Politics / Re: Who Are The Best Governors In Nigeria? by Spyker: 3:17pm On Sep 29, 2011
Please rephrase your question to "who are the worst Governors in Nigeria?"

I will certainly tell you my State Governor, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi.
I guess his supporters are blind to the fact that there is no security in Rivers State, people are being kidnapped on a daily basis and the media have being instructed not to announce anything concerning kidnappings.

As for road, Rivers State has none, even the few reconstructed roads were shabbily done while others has being abandoned. Where do we start from: UST round about to Olu-Obasanjo road has being under reconstruction since 2007, Ada George road is a nightmare, Mgbuogba NTA road is a muddy trap, Igwuruta Eneka Rumuokwurushi road is a dream. Port Harcourt Airport Junction to Owerri road is kidnappers haven, Igbo Etche road, or the ever busy G.U . Ake /Eliozu Airport link road, or the Obiri Ikwerre road.

What about the healt centres, poorly door,

I weep for my dear state.

Properties / Re: My Landlord Insist I Pay Full Year Rent Or Pack Out In Lagos by Spyker: 4:57pm On Sep 20, 2011
I always laugh whenever this argument concerning this law comes up.
I dare ask this simple question? How many mass housing scheme has the Lagos state government embarked upon before this law? How many house owners and landlords did they consult before passing this law?
Can Fashola's government provide for those who will be thrown into the street because of this bill.
I have studied this bill and I will say the bill is useless, it does not give the tenant any reprieve.
Imagine if my rent is N120,000 p/a and the landlord decides to increase the rent to N200,000, did the law say you as a landlord cannot fix your rent.
Once any landlord is prosecuted by this law, there will be massive increase in house rents that many tenants would wish the law were not passed.

A bag of cement cost about N1,800.00 and if any of you have built, you will not hate your landlord but the bad governments in Nigeria.

It's a win - win situation for the landlord and I think the poster should forget about the useless law and pay his rent. Remember, all a landlord need do is get an injunction restraining the Lagos state government from implementing this bill since they did not build the house for him. The government will only increase tax on the property.

Politics / Re: 100 Days After, How Is Your State Governor Performing? by Spyker: 6:04pm On Sep 13, 2011
For my State (Rivers State), between 1-100, I will score him -1 otherwise there seems not to be government in the state.
For the first time in my life, cement, sand and chippings are mixed and poured on the road in the name of road construction. In all sphere of development, Rivers State has got it all wrong.

A state surviving on borrowed funds and indebted to the tune of billions of US Dollars, I weep for my state.
Religion / Re: Catholic Pope To Be Charged To Court (ICC, Hague) For Crimes Against Humanity! by Spyker: 5:59pm On Sep 13, 2011
I guess we should drag God or Allah or Olodumare or Oduduwa or Sango e.t.c. to Hague for crimes committed by His faithful.

This is just another ploy to further dent the image of the Pope and that of the Catholic Church. It's like chasing the shadow of an elephant when you can clearly see the elephants.

Well, let's wait and see.

Romance / Re: Her Hubby Threatened To Impregnate Another Woman. . . . by Spyker: 12:07pm On Sep 09, 2011
This is just one part of the story, the part affecting the woman, what about the man.

How long did the couple date before marriage? (this may tell why the man is in a hurry to blame his wife)
Why is impregnating another woman the last option? (I wonder ooh)
As for the fact that he hates the sight of blood, i think that's a lame excuse if he really wants a child.

@Poster, not all men are senseless and insensitive, just a few of them and I really think there is a wide communication gap between your friend and her husband.
Politics / Re: Bomb Making Factory Found In Suleija Niger State by Spyker: 5:12pm On Sep 06, 2011
One thing I am very sure of is that never teach a Nigerian man something you, he will overdo and overproduce and overuse it. Just look at the trend,

from robberies, to kidnapping to suicide bombing. I guess no one you underestimate a Nigeria especially those we term illiterate, they are more sensible than others.

What a silly question ! You only get one Mother and no one can replace ever her  unconditional love and care  even  Dad
You can replace your wife as much as you like but not your Mother
So I would say Mother comes First Second and Third

GBAM.

"Any how monkey ugly reach, im mama like am". That's how to describe the unconditional love of a mother, for the women who would say why choose your mother, when you become a mother, pack your pikin sh-it, treat am when im sick and feed am to fine well well, come get money, you go curse am if im put you after im wife.

Travel / Re: British Govt Creates 1,000 Visas Opening For Talented Migrants by Spyker: 6:27pm On Aug 09, 2011
Visa or no visa, I am very sure even the political class in Nigeria would not allow the bright ones to apply, they will replace them with daft children or relatives.

My humble opinion, UK is good for study, come back to Naija and make cool cash. Go to UK on vacation and holidays.
But wasting years there is like building a storey building without a foundation, it will eventually turn out to be rumbles.

Crime / Re: Public Attack "human Eaters" In Lagos [photo Inside] by Spyker: 3:01pm On Aug 05, 2011
I'm sure the mob like most Nigerians are suffering from poverty of the mind.
I wonder who these innocent men should sue for false alarm, defamation of character and name, torture and cause of bodily harm including indecent exposure.

In short, no common man in Nigeria has a right, I guess if these men were in a 4 x 4 SUV eating their meat, no one would label them human eaters.

Sick nation, sick people, sick government.

Celebrities / Re: Lola Omotayo Is Still The Woman In My Life - Peter Okoye by Spyker: 12:00pm On Aug 01, 2011
Simple logic:
More money is given to girlfriends and baby mamas than to wives. It is easier for a woman to claim independence when not married officially to a man and also behave the way she likes without any caution from the father of the child.
They are more like single mothers but they have a well funded life.
Politics / Re: Rivers State To Borrow N250 Billion Through Bond Issue. by Spyker: 11:47am On Aug 01, 2011
Chei, when will this deceit of Rivers people and Nigerians end.
Rivers State is heavily indebted from the previous loans borrowed from Zenith Bank.
The Bank is tired of loaning Amaechi hence he has resorted to the capital market thereby mortgaging the future of Rivers State.

Amaechi has neither created jobs but rather increased poverty in the state.
Monorail is a failed project, it does't make sense.
We only have Ikwerre and Aba roads as usable and manageable roads in Rivers State, others are in the state of disrepair or poorly constructed. A journey of 15mins in Rivers State now take about 2hrs 30mins.

Thank God the Schools have closed for holidays, at least the vehicular traffic will reduce.

Dumb Governor.
Politics / Re: How Do I Avenge This Police Brutality Against Another Man's Wife By A Police? by Spyker: 4:30pm On Jul 30, 2011
1) Sue him for assault and infliction of bodily harm
2) Report the Matter to his superiors
3) Demand for compulsory apology to be published in a national newspaper
4) Ask for compensation
5) Apply the Moses law (an eye for an eye).
Travel / Re: Nigeria Will Reciprocate Visa Denials And Delays – Gbenga Ashiru by Spyker: 4:24pm On Jul 30, 2011
This minister need to take one or two lessons from his Predecessor Ojo Maduekwe who copied verbatim every condition given to Nigerians for issuance of Visa from the South African embassy and applied same to their citizens who wish to come to Nigeria.

After all, they come here and make millions and billions without giving back anything and on top of it, evade tax.
If I were the Minister, if you say Nigeria should pay N20,000 as visa fee, I will convert same to your currency and demand that your citizen pay same.

Also, I will copy verbatim every stringent condition given to Nigerians and replicate same for each nation.
By the time I am through with them, they will respect us. No be by force to go abroad.
Business / Re: Have U Used USPS Or EMS Lately? Share Your Experience by Spyker: 6:31pm On Jul 28, 2011
I do online purchases a lot. USPS is reliable but you will pay at least between N1500 to 3,000 depending on the weight for customs duty and tax.
I just recieved a blackberry storm yesterday (1) and paid N1,500 to collect it.
As for UPS and DHL, they are rogues in courier business.

phantom:

how long did omehia stay that he built a market? grin grin grin, you people keep pointing to omehia.was it not the same omehia that bulletine 100% upfront for that sham you guys call eliozu flyover?and signed the contract to do only the flyover and neglect the road beneath, pleaes dont let me start,

On point, the road beneath is the East west road or was it not awarded by the FGN? What a government should do is to fix the bad portion of the road even though it is a Federal road and that is what I expect RSG to do.
Back to the airplane, the same logic being heralded by the House of Assembly during odili's stay in Government House is the same being heralded now. Do we need an aircraft now when we already have three (or is it two now). Port Harcourt residents are suffering from all angles, bad or no roads, lots of touts in uniform claiming Obio Akpor or sanitation or Phalga metro e.t.c., flooding and heavy traffic couple with the lack of vision from the Government to create jobs, I wonder how many jobs this aircraft can create. This same Amaechi refused to pay RSUST lecturers agreed wage to the point that the University lost one academic session, my brother, even those who work for him are tired of defending and praising him, they have got to sit up.
My point is that there are more better things to spend money on like reactivation of moribund industries like Risonpalm, Olympia Hotel, Delta Rubber e.t.c. the list goes on an on.
Why not commit N7.5Bn into one of this moribund industry in the State and create jobs for thousand of jobless graduates. That is why I said this Government is clueless when it comes to the need of the people.

^^^^clap for yourself,  grin grin grin, come stand for front of mile 1 market talk this thing make them lynch you,  grin

It is the truth. You talk about mile one market, which was built by Omehia's administration, up till now Amaechi and co has refused to allocate to stores or even commence the construction of the second phase of the project. Same for the new layout market started by Omehia and the shopping mall, this man does not have any idea what Governance is all about apart from announcing gigantic projects that he will never complete.
