See heart break o! |
Make these boys park bus for goal abeg ![]() |
kai, wahala dey o; Ambrose off. But this referee na real spoiler! |
This Igiebor guy just escaped a red card o |
Our guys are getting scrappy and all over the place. Imagine that Musa has not put through a clean pass since the second half began; very poor in my reckoning.... |
Jarus: Ik Uche may be our joker in this match. You took this out of my mouth bro! |
The pitch is horrible agreed but the Super Eagles are not mobile enough. This the only way they can get the Burkinabes out of position and get the second goal to put the match to rest. |
This is the reason the game is so nostalgic - unpredictable! |
As in any group stage, the first match is very critical to how everything turns out. The Super Eagles must hit the ground running and avoid the lazy attitude of the past. Something tells me that this squad would come good in this tournament. |
The list is strong and fairly representative of what went down within the period of review. Its arguable though whether Cole, RVP, Andrea Pirlo or Yaya Toure could have been added to the pool. I think the freezing out of EPL players clearly shows that FIFA and UEFA are not really enamored with England. Remember the FIFA corruption Panorama program? |
This is a heated and well debated thread I must admit. For anyone who cares to know; Fashola has done more in terms of health care than most. I had a first hand experience of his determination to improve that sector when my wife had our second child at the ISOLO General Hospital. At the time of her delivery, the new hospital was being finished. By the time I drove her there after two months, the massive edifice was ready and fully equipped. I was taken aback by the quality of the work, facilities and the sheer magnitude of equipments on display. I was forced to ask a senior nurse who works there to confirm whether the Governor actually started the project or if it dated back to days of former Governor Bola Tinubu and she confirmed that it was Fashola that started and completed it. One could also go to Gbagada, Surulere and Ayinke House to see major projects in this regards. Now the question that should bother all of us is: Has he done enough to justify the resources at his disposal? While the jury is out on this, my take is that he is doing his best. We should however not shy away from raising questions on the performances or otherwise of our leaders. This is the only way we can keep them on their toes! |
His exclusion from the team is based on past antecedents and documented squabbles with Siasia. One way or the other, coaches don't like disruptive personalities in their squads. |
Let them proffer a solution to the menace of Okada and justify the hype they've enjoyed over the years. |
Na wah o! |
Just one more goal boys! |
The poor midfield finally unravelled against a more hungry side. This kind of result would only strengthen RVP's desire to make something out of his career. |
A humble, decent and down to earth person. I see him winning a couple more to set an insurmountable record for that category. |
Form may be temporary but class is permanent: 'Titi' proved this 100%! |
They must look at all the angles before taking their decision but if truth be told, okada is a menace that must be controlled if not totally checked. |
The truth of the matter is that our government is not honest. Since 1991, they have talked about removing fuel subsidy to tackle smugglers, increase efficiency, improve infrastructure, eradicate corruption and what have you but there's absolutely nothing on ground to show any positive development for all price increases since then. Pray me, what was the price of fuel in 1999? With all the gradual increments, we have become worse as a Nation. Rather than see any major infrastructural development, our roads are now officially the worst in the world. How come Nigeria is the only major crude exporter in the world without functioning refineries? Yet some of our past leaders have operational refineries in other countries in order to sell refined products to us and then turn around to collect subsidy. What a shame! Too many questions to be answered but the so called technocrats in government could not offer plausible answers. Rather, they threaten thunder and brimstone when faced with intelligent inquisitions. The other day someone was talking about "safety nets" after the removal of subsidy and I had to wonder what was meant by that loose and meaningless statement. They must think we are too dumb to ask questions! Give us HARD facts concerning the situation on the ground and convince us that this is the best way to go by showing a clear plan and deliverables. |
Dropping points at home to 'lesser' teams like Fulham and Wolves is definitely not the way to go for a team aspiring for Champions League football. Arsenal had failed to take advantage of slip ups by major rivals this season and within two weeks from now, the tough games would be coming in thick and fast. What gives? They must take their chances-simple and straight forward! Dancing around opponents goal area without sticking the ball in the net is never enough. Starting with QPR, they must go all out for maximum points in their next five matches to stand any chance of displacing Chelsea or Tottenham. |
At least it won't be RVP alone as I do not see any other consistently reliable striker out of the lot that AW's gathered together! |
Na today? |
Nice 3 points at the death |
Unbelievable! Something is going to crack very soon. |
Lovely. |
This will be a great test for Arsenal. If the midfield keep up the fast pace of passes critical to Arsenal's game plan, City would crumble! |
Unbeaten run crashes at the Bridge! Long live the Invincibles. |
Whatever may be the cause of the blast, the truth is that this country needs serious attention. Is she getting it? Your answer is as good as mine! |
What a shame! Obama should go and read Romans 1: 19-29. |
Energetic, innovative, intelligent and not a quitter! |
