I need to see how this one can be pulled off.

Even the future leaders are corrupt. Can we possibly kill all the present corrupt leaders? Cos if we can't then lets just leave it for now till we come up with something else
Why cant we kill them all, and if we keep leaving it, when will we ever see a Nigeria we could all be proud to call home.
Nigeria is so bad, that even the president cant get medical attention in Nija, but in Saudi Arabia, where Nigerian doctors all over the world are some of the best.

If me and you that are decent refuse to get invloved and allow the "indecent" grandpas and grandmas to keep rulling, that means we will never seea nigeria that we can be boastful of.

Well say, u see nairalander Nigeria need  fresh set of new young men as real leaders with vision and dreams for good nation with peace of mind but this Old men that always fly abroad for medica treatment  after pressure in the office that cause heart failure malfunction of the body, my mission is to start lunching magical missile bomb to finish them all on the day of there nonsense meeting of argument as i did in Iraq. so support me now or these country remain thesame.

Like i said earlier, chances are, it will be bloody, but i think Nigeria need a real and true revolution, let us do what Rawlings did in Ghana, and show the old politicians, that we wanna take over and they could all retire and enjoy all they have stolen in peace, or we will make them use it in pieces if they wont step aside.
Religion / Re: Clean Jokes by ssRhino: 7:16pm On Sep 11, 2008
The Pastor did as was commanded after which the officer now ordered:
“Please read Matthew 5:25, 26 to me.”
The incredulous Pastor opened to the recommended passage and read:
“Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still with him on the way, or he may hand you over to a judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison. I tell you the truth; you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.”

The man of God quietly made an ‘offering’ of ‘just’ one N100 to his new found ‘preacher’. End of service! Go in peace and argue no more, said the OC.

who is this small man? instead of talking about the issue of prayer and its effect you are just running . . . . . . .

the bottom line is this if prayer works nigeria will never be where it is at the moment because Nigeria is the most prayerful nation on earth that i know. . . . . . yet all its prayers have remained unanswered. . . . . . .

Nigeria would have gone worse or better still collapse, but i blv it is the prayer that has held it together.
Religion / Re: Must We Shout When We Pray? by ssRhino: 7:11pm On Sep 11, 2008
It is not how we pray that matters, but the content of the prayer, also the motives behind the prayers.

Politics / Re: Nigeria Creates New Ministry For Niger Delta by ssRhino: 7:07pm On Sep 11, 2008
Nigeria1@;:

it is a stupid idea. how can a govt have a ministry for the niger delta, so we they have a ministry for the north , a ministtry for the igbo biafra who have been denied the presidency, if they complain they want to rule.

it is a stupid idea and i weep for nigeria. who ever gave the president that idea should be sack. look having some rich 42 VGC and asoroko men from niger delta in a conference is a waste and decietful way to the solution of the niger delta.

any meeting that does not have asari dokubo and his militia who are the one creating the problem is a waste of time. i did not see dokubo name on the list. ever vice president jonathan can not speak for the people of the niger delta.

you can not pick some people who the govt have enrich from contract and now tell us they are the representative of the niger delta. if we want to solve this problem. let us be sincere. the ministry of niger delta shows the govt does not want to solve or be sincere or serious about the issue of the niger delta.

42 rich federal govt contrator can not solve the problem in the niger delta. get sebella name on the list. if president yar adua does not get rid of all this adviser. already in pollls over polls. president yar adua is been considered as the worst president nigeria in nigeria history. if he does not believe, he should go from one nigeria forum online to another, they were all wishing dead while he was sick. it should tell him, how they feel about him. if he as gone to mecca to be close to God, it should reflect in his policy in govt.

president yar adua should look at the polls . nigerian do not like him. he need to do something different, not play games with the lifes of nigerian.

i wonder how many has comnplained not liking the guy.
Yes, i dontlike his leadership skill and how he is handling Nigeira, but as human, i dont hate him

can idiots like u shut up please, the USA at 50yrs old isn't that much better than modern day nigeria. china during the period of the cultural revolution was similar to the nigeria of today. with patience and dedication, nigeria would improve

easy oh my guy.

palmwine:

This is good, but my fear is that the new generation politicians are worst in the way of corruption.

Check student unionism on our university campus. Future leadrs have taken corruption to the hi-tech level

there are corrupt pple all over the world, however, we need to create a situation where we can actualy vote and be counted, and educating our pple for them to know that, nigeria belongs to all of us, and what we want is what we will feed her, garbage in, garbage out, i am sure that western world wont even want Nigeria to be like that, cos there wont be dumping ground for thier nonesense, but with determination, we can do it.

cabali:

This wont happen. There are members of the powers that be that are making a lotta cash from things not working.

Take for instance NEPA! If nepa does it right, Michael Otedola will have issues. and so will others attached to him.

Yes, there are so many people that are making so much money when things are not working well, but all they need is education, or if they wont let Nigeria be OK, they will be used as sacrifice.

Nigeria can never become like that. Why am i saying this? What steps are the leaders taking? Tell you the truth, even Yar' Adua himself has not even thought of a better Nigeria as much as you are doing now.

The conditions described could only be achieved in paradise; and you know what that means. Till this world gets to its end, Nigeria will always be the "slum" it has always been.

u sure hate nigeria so much oh, i used to think that i am the only one that pasionatley get digusted at the mention of Nigeria, but i tell you wat, Nigeria has all it takes to be all these and even more.

Alase:

for all these to happen, the problem is not the corrupt politicians or leaders. the problem is you and me. If with all sincerity, everyone can do his or her bit with transparency and turns it ino our culture. Let us search our hearts and have a rethink. That the public is not seeing what we do in the secret does not make us saints.

That is very true and that is why me and you need to start on how to get the direction of Nigeria on the right course, but i am sure we can do it.

i dont see what decision is there to be made, the only one that need to make any decision here is the husband, if he wanna take the woman back, and as to who is the father of the baby, the DNA will decide that.

Exactly, it makes no sense that we are just signing our natural resources away like that. How can a country like Angola, who just came out of a civil war not even 3 years ago, is having a rapidly expanding economy, and the people their are getting richer by the day? Because they have their own nationalized companies, which means all the money stays in the country, and benefits the people.

For example, Angola is the largest exporter of oil in Africa now (it used to be us, but you know our problems), but most of their oil is handled by their own company called "Sonangol", whereas we have foreign companies like Chevron, Shell, BP, and others who are blatantly scamming us. If we had our own oil companies in Nigeria, you would see a lot more money flowing in, and see even more improvements in this country, just because the money stays with us, and not into foreign accounts.

But all this has to be done without corrupt politicians, because if this happens with our current government, I can guarantee no more than a quarter of that money would be seen by the public.

these are some of the reasons why we all need to stand up to the present leaders that are leading us into the holes, these are pple that has nothing "upstairs" they have no idea what is good and what is bad for the nation, they are just power driven and wanna steal the money and nothing to show for it, so the youths needs to start getting involved, and also, there is a need to educate the market mamas and papas, that it is time for them to stop selling their vote for the highest bidders, cos with their sales is their future.

There is no need shouting while praying, however, there is nothing wrong in shouting as well, cos sometimes, it is a sign of despiration and making our needs known to God.

You are probably not a scientist and it is understandable if scientific investigations or discoveries do not interest you. However it is probably not correct to label what you seem not to understand "total ludacris". Science has its limitations but it has given mankind so much that it is unwise to dismiss what it has done and will do in the near future. You may or may not agree with the big bang theory. It is a scientific model and you can accept or reject the model but not to reject experiments aimed at testing this model of the universe.

Hahahaha, sorry i forgot to mention that i saw your name on the list of scientist around the globe.
There is no doubt about it, that some good things has come out of scientifical findings, and mind you, the brain that they uses in all they doing, has been giving to them by same God that created the universe, so once again, it is ludacris, and lemme say this, be4 i seize to respond on this thread, if yuo evolve from apes and gorillas, i was created by He that knows the End be4 the starts.

Guys we can get there.
The first step I think is to get the masses re-oriented
let them know that the national cake is not the exclusive reserve of those in power.
The mindset of the masses is the reason why the corrupt politicians are going Scotfree free

I am thinking of an organisation which is is selfless and cuts across the country.

Such an organisation will sensitise the public to hold the elected officers accountable and to allow them make their votes count.
If we get that right, we can get the next step right.
This is a rather high level of ppessimism We can achieve that rather earlier than you think

Yes We Can!!!!!!!!!

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul", the holy man preached:

There was one evolutionist scientist (Huxley) who heard that and exclaimed by saying: That's no big deal we have discovered how to create life "scientifically" and by evolutionary means;

The holy man replied: Go ahead, take all the time you need and get on with it ;

"Huxley" moved quickly to gather dust together with the intention of creating man, but the holy man interrupted him by saying: Not so fast, huxley, you have to start by making your own dust.

"Huxley began to stammer: but, but, but, erm, erm; scratching his head, I need some matter to start with. lipsrsealed

That is one lovely piece.

People are saying Father owns the child.

Is it the father that bath the child, cloth her, cook for her, feed her, drop her in the school, pick her up @ school, react when another child try to beat her, wash her clothes, help her with her assignment, buy clothes and shoes for her, plait her hair etc

if you go by that definition of yours, it simply means that many father owns all the kids, cos there are so many father that does all that.
