BY THE WAY WHICH TAPE ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? APC AND LIES, YOU HAVE TO USE YOUR SENSES WHEN EVER THEY COME UP WITH LIES, JUST IMAGINE, BUHARI IS ON HIS HOSPITAL BED AND THEY KEEP ON LYING LATER HIS WIFE SAID THAT HE WENT TO LONDON FOR REST, BROS FORGET THOSE PEOPLE THEY'RE CRIMINALS
I aint here to defend anybody afterall these people don't give two hoots about either of us but it doesn't stop us from speaking out..now fact Fayose is the only one who actually denied such a meeting took place...fact both koro and omisore have both confirmed the meeting did actually take place even though they both deny the reason why they were meeting in the first place so bros what lies are we talking about...there is hard evidence of which if you follow the story with an open mind is hard to dispute...as for Buhari and the dilema of his health the last time i checked he is still a private citizen with freedom of movement so whoever allows him or herself to be fooled by the APC spinning of the entire debacle is on his own

THA SAME WITH BUHARI FOR PERJURY, BUHARI'S OFFENCE IS 14 YEARS IN PRISON ACCORDING TO 9JA LAW
Do not deflect from the current issue now which is that we as a nation are about to make someone who has been caught on tape(whether its real or not should be up to the courts) a minister I'm not sure you can hear of such from any other country in the world...the buhari case is in court and i hope the right judgement is given but pls don't condemn one person and fail to do same to another because maybe you both belong to the same political party...again what is bad is bad no justification whatsoever
PoliticsRe: "Don't Make Election Rigger A Minister"-abuja Protest Against Mobanikoro(picture by stan241(m): 11:21pm On Feb 23, 2015
When you read comments here you weep for this country I tell you...as i was always taught what is bad is bad so whether or not you are a GEJ or PDP supporter it doesn't take away your sense of right or wrong(or does it) in saner climes Obanikoro and co should be chilling somewhere awaiting trial not been considered for ministership(if there is any word like that)...even Omisore granted an interview while in Ghana a couple of days back confirming he was actually at that meeting(he denied they planned rigging by the way)..another one of the choices of our president that just about stretches ones imagination
PoliticsRe: Rotimi Amaechi And Fani-Kayode On Politics Today On Channels TV. by stan241(m): 1:05pm On Feb 23, 2015
In my opinion this whole debacle has gotten rather boring..a couple of months ago this thread would probably have gotten to 20pages but not possible anymore cus people are just tired..the truth is majority have already made up their minds on whether its APC and their questionable change or PDP and their quite hilarious mantra of Continuity that they would vote for as a matter of fact there probably will be much less voters next month than there would have been had we stuck to feb14 whether or not people finish collecting their PVC...people have quite simply moved on with their lives as should they cus they know both parties hardly have their interests at heart...haven't said that I'd really love for the APC to suprise me
RomanceRe: Few Reasons Why Girls Are Being Used And Dumped. by stan241(m): 3:09pm On Feb 22, 2015
Anyone who will get dumped will get dumped why? Well because not all relationships are meant to be and besides guys are also been dumped...would have looked more genuine if you made a list comparing why both sexes get dumped instead of the usual and quite honestly getting boring system of making it all about the ladies...do domething comparing both male and female place them side by side while explaining your points and you will probably get more hits or likes or followers I guess

OP seem to be living in fantasy island, no offence. Truth is, not that many guys out there are domesticated & good with housework. Fact. Most of them WILL expect a woman to do everything they saw their moms doing while growing up & that's not about to change because of "girl power, hoo!!". Even the most successful of women, still goes home to perform her duties as a woman of the house because it is hammered in us at a young age that a woman must cook, clean & take care of the children. It's reality. When a child is dirty, hurt etc, 1st question on people's lips is, "Where's the mother? Blah, blah, blah". That's just how it is & if she's living in some new age land of rainbows & lollipops, then she's in for a big disappointment. She better hook up with some white dude real quick because they're the only ones that seem not to mind doing certain things that men of other cultures wouldn't be caught dead doing. Men from every part of the globe have similar way of thinking which is, house chores are a woman's job. Finish & klaar. My very own man who didn't grow up in Africa, thinks it's gay to even hold a broom. He can cook though but that's as far as it'll go with him.
I think you the only one who seems to get the point here..a lot of people have been sub-consciously converted into the western way of thinking and they are so far gone they don't even realise it..even when my late mum was heavy my dad never dipped his hand in a bucket maybe because we had a maid who did the washing and all that but even while growing up he never did that..the first time i saw something like that was with my uncle and that was because his wife was pregnant after delivery it was capital OYO...In reality its usually a big NO even with the married couple not to now talk of a gf/bf thingy..the highest I can wash is my sis shirt or a jean but that's just about it...again sub-conscious conversion and degrading of the african culture without we africans knowing but then again different strokes for different people

The internet i think gives people who naturally can't express themselves the power to show their true colours its sad really at first I thought the guys were just trolling that girl but alas i was wrong almost all the guys here have bashed the "girl" until I got to the 3rd page...@op it works yes but your headline makes it seem like its a general thing which is not true pls learn not to use general assumptions as your topic title..

PoliticsRe: I’ll Free Lagosians From APC - Jonathan by stan241(m): 12:08pm On Feb 21, 2015
A lot of people are too emotionally charged when it comes to issues of politics in Lagos state but and i believe those who actually live in Lagos and meet people everyday will tell you that The APC will win the governorship election in Lagos by a quite narrow margin and that's a fact and i think even the President knows that.... its just like the Ngige episode in Anambra then it was not that he wasn't loved far from that it was that my brothers see the APC as a Muslim party and that's the same way people who live in Lagos see the PDP...jimi is by a mile the better candidate but he belongs to the wrong party

What would you have us do? We condemn these thieving lawnmowers, but in a system like this change comes from the top down. Have an incorruptible and effective executive and the rest of the government falls quickly in line.
yea and what happens when the so called person at the top is also surrounded by corrupt elements himself what happens then...whether you choose to accept it or not they are all the same just that most of them don't mind washing their dirty laundry out in the open

Poor National Assembly members. Some of them will curse their parents because of money. However, their own share of national cake is far less than the 9.3 billion naira Jonathan and Ngozi-Okonjo Iwealla approved for the purchase of cooking stoves for rural women. How foolish can a world bank trained fraudster called Ngozi-Okonjo Iwealla and the Otueke fisher man be. Most of these fraudsters will spend hundreds of years in prison when Buhari finally takes over, if you doubt me ask Jim Nwobodo that stole money not enough to buy a Peugeot (apology to our thieving president).
I will gladly refer to u back to the reply I gave the other guy....don't stink this thread with the blame game and how one old man wants to send all of them to jail cus all of them are the same thing

Their progressiveness is only to attack Jonathan, call him clueless and incompetent and never to address the injustice being done to Nigeria citizens through this their criminal self-settlement.

I had expected all APC Senators and Honorable Members to give a descriptive documentary of how they disbursed the constituency allowance collected on behalf of the people they represent.

- Bola Tinubu wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, representing Lagos Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly being the wife of the leader of APC should come out and point to the fruits of the constituency allowance this past four years.

- I expect all APC Senators & Reps to follow same and tell us their achievements especially in Lagos the HQ of APC.

If this legislooter decides to go ahead and pay themselves this severance package then the 1999 Federal Republic of Nigeria Constitution, which requires the lawmakers to sit for a minimum period of 181 days in a year will be violated

Investigations carried out by the National Mirror already revealed that members of the House of Representatives only sat for 57 days, while the senate on its part has sat for about 78 days.

Therefore, a proration of the severance package is required base on the number of days seated. i.e. House of Reps should be paid using 57/181 x the total payout, amounting to 31% while the Senate should be 78/181 x the total payout, amounting to 43% any other formula or attempt of 100% payment is tantamount to fraud and daylight robbery.

God bless The Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Shalom!
This is no APC/PDP bashing ground pls....yes they are all theives whether broom or umbrella party or any other political party from the head who is the president to your local government chairman so no one should come here to mention party politics...its good you've mentioned the slashing of their salaries and a percentage they should actually be earning that's what this thread should be all about....morning

I tell you. I also share this sentiment! The Independence came way to early, plus we weren't prepared and mature enough to engage in the demanding and arduous task of building a nation worthy of standing for decades, if not centuries. Our leaders thought Independence was the same thing as building a great nation through selflessness, visionary leadership, focus and determination.

Politically, we, especially the masses, are not well aware and alive to the massive power we wield. Our lazy looters understand this, and are utilising it fully to their advantage.

It rather sad and depressing that threads like this are very unpopular. Reason is simple: the average Nigerian runs away from threads that demand critical thought, sound arguments, and dispassionate matters. They will rather grace threads that spread violence, division, partisan politics, and celebrities gists.

It's on issue as this one concludes we are not ready for the needed change. All the so called change matter na emotional appeal.

The national assembly is one of the greatest hindrances to our development as a people. Till we watch them bumper to bumper, and occasionally protest against them, we are on a long thing. There's no reason whatsoever what these thieves should earn the jumbo pay they do earn. IIt's an insult to the Nigerian workers!
We just aren't and will never be ready and to think the minimum wage is barely 20k while house members who won't even sit for the total number of times they are meant to get to cart away over a million bucks as basic pay and you wonder why a teacher will want to put in his maximum or a health worker when he or she knows what the govt pays barely even covers transportation for that month...youth corpers getting peanuts monthly for service to their fatherland while some big belly agbada wearing psychophany earns millions and and comes during election and shares 1k to attend his rally..No wonder to you hear someone has been in the the chambers since 1999 and you begin to wonder what that person kept there that he/she keeps wanting to go back

My brother!!!

Can you see how few the comments on this thread are? People run away from topics of national interest such as these, but they would feel comfortable in a PDP/GEJ or APC/GMB bashing thread!!!

I say it all the time - we aren't deep thinkers. We are short-sighted, gullible, selfish folks who don't really want to see a better country, but want a better life for themselves ONLY. Concepts such as "societal good" or "national interest" don't make sense to most of us - we're only interested in bigger bank accounts, bigger cars, opulent lifestyles etc. I dare say we don't really hate corruption - that explains why we're quick to point to corruption at the other end of the political divide but stay silent when our favourite politicians are mentioned.

I really don't think we're ready for true development.
I think the British gave us independence way too early they probably should have held on for much longer...its sad really what goes on in this forum.... people don't care about topics like this because a lot of them are actually paid from this large sums so don't be surprised you won't see them here....

Its threads like this that shows those who genuinely have the interest of the country at heart or those who are paid to comment on social media...check this thread closely and you will never see those 'popular' monikers here except its a thread bashing either the president or his opponent....like someone said on TV this morning its not the politicians that are the problem but we the people and it is only until we rise up and say enough is enough...you can imagine the salaries of this people and yet most probably never sponsor or head any committee in the house... its a shame really where we are as a nation

Again i think and its my opinion is that people tend to and especially youths would always like to project this 'image' about themselves especially on online forums like this though not saying there aren't those who say this things and mean them but you want to give out that vibe that they are among the "good ones" and p.s. I honestly think there are too many of this lists nowadays on this forum...my opinion though nice one tosyne as always
