Very serious and very sure...
They just ask for it, you can print as many months as u like as long as it is very recent, I think dey give a duration/deadline too.
We're the sponsors salary earners or business owners? I would think business owners.

Tnuola baby, thanks for that piece of information. I wanted to go shopping with my balance.
I will hold on to that, we learn everyday.

They actually do ask student trv applicants to re-print their sponsors proof of funds. I know of two pple it happened.

As it is if he can't submit it within the required time, they'll return his documents.
That's why its advisible to always leave funds in the acct till u get ur trv.
Are you serious? Will they tell you the months to print? Would it be an older date to the submitted SOA or the recent date.

I think looking at his work history (maybe the type of job and his earning) and the SOA he submitted, probably they feel there is no way he could have gotten 4M so they suspect he borrowed the money for presentation purposes and has returned it.

I think you should tell us everything about your application. Why are they talking about a work permit?
Exactly what I thought, but shouldn't that have earned him an express ref from these V.Os looking for silly reasons.

taiwokazx:
so what do u suggest i do now thanks
First of all what did you apply for, study permit?, where did you apply from?, the screen shot says your open application for a work permit.
I have never heard of a student trv applicant being asked to bring more financial documents even on there website it states that any additional document would be submitted with a new application and fee.

We need more information on this your case o. If the initial 4M was just deposited in ur account with no prior work history to support the earnings, that already is lodgement.
But if you have a history of earnings, then why is the V.O surprised at your savings to prompt request for additional finance.

I no understand sha.

Are you an UMUAHIAN? That phrase manual Labour is unique to us.

I couldn't finish. I'll update you on monday or tuesdau
Ogbeni how far, you done finish?

I did a trial payment of 1000 CAD on my student portal with my gtbank mastercard, surprisingly it went through but the conversation rate was 174 Naira.

I called diamond bank they gave me 164.2 with other charges like 1% commission, 2500 naira telex copy and 5% VAT.
It would probably sum up to the same thing with gtbank.

Xe.com rate never matches the real rate. Every bank uses a different rate so they can make money, so Xe will always be off.

I have an account with FCMB, and I always find their rate to be reasonable. I use their bank card to make purchases here.
Bros you are correct but XE is the official rate at CBN and the Form A is designed to help you access that CBN rate for certain transactions like tuition and BTA.
I have done this before and the exact rate on XE was deducted without an extra kobo.
Why Gtbank has decided to put a whole 9 Naira on top is what I don't understand. I just need to compare estimate from another bank.

off course I know. Try Diamond bank or better still ask @Richcassie seems he used it today or so.
Yeah his yet to respond.

Gradually I am loosing interest in Gtbank, just that I am so used to there platform.
in recent times diamondbank has proven to offer cheaper and more efficient services. And efficiency is my watch word.
Diamond charge 63 Naira for instant transfer to any bank. While Gtbank charge 110 Naira.

7k using form A??
Yeah 7k CAD for my first app
Trying to pay off 16705 CAD now, so the rate dey seriously pain me for body I no fit shout.

Ugochux:
Before now, people who used GTbank complained bitterly...their charges re on d high side...
I get staff for house na, so I thought it would different, plus the last time I paid 7k, through her, they charged 154 accurately with no extra kobo.

so what is the point of the form A if after CBN credits them at 162, Gtbank adds extra 9 Naira?
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by standupguy(m): 7:33pm On May 22, 2015

How do you mean with the "Form A"??
CBN FORM is meant to aide you transfer your tuition to the institution at official CBN conversion rate.

Please don't be, don't let that stop you from attaining you goal. Always thank God for the gift of life, always thank God that you're a step ahead. Always thank God that he has already answered your prayers and remember that you're better than some people out there. Give this another shot or better still if you're financially buoyant give Aussie a shot, but that will be if you'd like to come back and build a career in naija. But all in all, it's not over until we win.
Brother thank you for the encouragement.

thanks bro. This was so helpful.. diamond people are way better than the rude gt bank guys people. I'm in diamond now and the process is going well.
Please let me know how it goes, my sister is a staff at gtbank, after Gtbank referred me to there plural branch I tranfered the money her own account so she could help me like she did the last October at 154 rate, I calculated the rate at 164 which is what it is on XE.com but she just called to let me know that it's 171.
I am paying up to 20k so this difference is killing me.
This study is getting to expensive for my liking.

BRB make I post something give you.

Here we are, go to a diamond bank and tell the you want to make use of the "Form A". They should tell you all you need. And they do it at the official exchange rate.
This Canada study is getting too expensive for my liking, even through CBN form A with Gtbank the conversation rate is conversion rate is 171 as against 154 I did last October.

Meanwhile XE.com conversion for CAD is today is 163.6.

Request for a credit card authorization form from the cashier then fill it legibly and fax it to the school.
Cash will be debited directly from your acct. faster and cheaper.

Alright. How about if I provide them with my SOA and they do not see any monthly salary payment to my account? What am I suppose to do and there are no payslips to tender? Because I get paid directly from my brother and it doesn't state for the purpose. I need to ask one more question. Is it possible to get a study leave of up to 4 hours as the program I am going for is UG. Any more advice?
That is why he has to make deposit of your next 4months salary into your account.

I would advise you don't state you are working with your uncle. Make it official as much as you can. Get proof that you are working with the coy. I.e employment letter, study leave letter, introduction letter, payslip and your personal SOA.
You just everything make it as official as possible.

Hmm. I thought it's advisable I do so, As he is one of the directors of the company and by me working voluntary in the IT department, Shouldn't I state that in my SOP so as to serve as a home-tie to the VO, because If I say I just work for them without starting clearly how I gained ground in the company, Wouldn't that raise some red flag? I still need the doc I do need to request from the company so as to submit together with the CIC Form.
Bros people work in other people's company without any relationship attachment.
You might be making yourself appear too dependent on your family.

The same thing happened to me, I work in my sister's establishment and she was my co sponsor.
she clearly stated in her letter of co-sponsor that i have worked with her for 2yrs which was another reasOn for her sponsorship apart from the fact we are siblings.
It all makes sense but the disadvantage is that you might be giving yourself off as too dependent and incapable of fending for yourself.

I am removing her entirely from my next application, I am only going to add the telex copy of part of my tuition she paid to represent her contribution incase the V.O decides to question why I removed her as a sponsor.

that's just my 2CENTS SHA
P.S because of my position at the company my salary was irregular, some of the company payments came through my account but I had to make the salary monthly and paid directly into my account instead of trying to explain to sadist V.Os at CIC looking for excuse to throw away ur app.

Hi. Thanks so much. But hw do I request for the GCMS file. You are well in Jesus name.
I think tnuola already put the link, if you have someone in canada already, the person can request it on your behalf for 5CaD or the can use the services of companies who do it.
They charge about 25 to 40 cad.
Most of them take payment through PayPal so you will have to setup a paypal account.

Amen.

Make sure you don't state that you work for your brother.
Just get employment from him like you would from any other company stating your position at the I.T department if the company.

u know I work in a bank. All these big organizations like to follow policy. So u see. I have asked and tried but to know avail. It's really sad for me but Godwin sha
Study is not complusory for a student visa, maybe it is for visitors.
Logically how many organization is willing to give you a 2 yrs study leave in a country like ours with very high unemployment, you be Einstein wey your position can't be replaced, how many years have you worked in there and what has been your contribution?
Study leave is fine if you can get it but not too fatal if you dont.

A piece of advise again, when i was refused last december, i couldn't bare the thought to waiting for a september intake plus i never heard of GCMS File, so i flew blind again for May which proved detrimental once more.
Like i said that refusal letter was designed to throw you of balance and from the looks of your comments so far i think its achieving its purpose.
Dedicate 30days to get your file, review it and improve your chances.
Well goodluck in whatever you decide.

P.S i might just be God sent telling you this, for some reason i was typing this message and my phone went off at 11:57pm, i really dont know what force drove me from my sick bed to putting on my laptop to retype this whole message again just to get through to you.
Cheers

@standupguy, can one apply a second time within the same CIC account or I have to open another account. Was delayed May 4 on financial grounds only, planing to reapply May 26. I hope its not to early. My admission is for Fall 2015 and I don't have much time cos am to resume august 10. Can I also use the former CIC forms and just edit them since I still have them on my PC. Btw I have tackled the sole ground for the delay by substituting one of my former sponsors with my aunt; she's got 19M+ in her SoA. My tuition fees and other sundry fees amounts to only 8.5M, so I think am good. Buh pls help review. Am adding my SoA of abt 1.3M too btw.
Not sure a drastic change of sponsor is a good idea especially with such short re-application time.
You will use the same account, just open another application in it.
The can use the same form but make sure you edit only the necessary details, like question if you been refused visa by any country and state the reasons, even your UCI number.

The amount in your sponsors account is irrelevant, they are more interested in the availability and why the sponsor has decided to sponsor you.

My sponsor and co-sponsor were my blood sisters.
A Senior banking official currently assistant bank manager and a business owner, both single with SOA and FEDP of 13M+ and 25M+ and properties.
But they still weren't satisfied that the funds were available for me.
They still made comments that they didn't see my own funds and my parents funds.
That is why I am paying off my 2yrs tuition, adding my SOA, shares and fdep I made prior the failed application whilst point the V.O to the dates so he knows they weren't just manufactured.

I told him about CAC and tax clearance but seems reluctant of giving out.
Thinking mood!!!
Please don't dent your application history, CAC is a must to prove ownership of the company. Tax clearance reveals the financial stands of the company.
His personal SOA would show, his finance Independence from the companys funds.

Bringin docs 2geda and applying isn't a small journey atalll..some have bn in it for a year or more...

Let's just console each other with the presence of LIFE...when it's still dere we have hope..

The bible says in Eccls that there is time for everything.
The time nko, it's really a wasteful process.
My first school admission was in Nov 2013, second was in May 2014 while my first TRV application was in Oct 2014, I have been planning this post graduate program for over a year and half but the folks at CIC really don't care.
This my final application I would have given them everything they asked for so na nana God do determine if it's the place for me.

Thanks.

Good pm e-house,
I salute everyone here!!!
Please my sponsor(Uncle) just finally gave me his last 6-months account statements (cooperate/ company) with 103m inflow and outflow but current balance is 3.5m... Pls is it viable and advisable to submit @ embassy.
I have personally.... 2m (fixed deposit ) and my salary account statements of 975k.

Kindly advice sir/ma.because I plan submitting my application .
MHA- Dalhousie university. NS.by Monday
Thanks .
You look set But I am skeptic about the company account.
Most times it's assumed that the funds there is not available for you.
But then I have seen people granted TRV with it, only that the sponsor was their parent. But in your own case it's your uncle.

Get him to provide his personal account too, also make sure he provides the company's tax clearance and CAC
