berexio1: I didn't specifically write anywhere that I live with my sister. Neither did I show prove of any acomodation. They probably saw our addresses on the application form and the SOAs. The same thing they did in my second application where they said I wanted to go and join my brother because he coincedentally moved to the town where the school in applied with was just because they saw his address. While I take the blame for the 8yrs thing, it is still within the officially specified time to complete a B.Eng . It has always been like that from my first application. Yet purpose of visit and length of stay was never highlighted in my previous applications Most times being all truthful in applications is not a good thing. 2 Likes |

darefestus: My brother I done tire sha, i never give up on things but time isn't friendly sha. No be force to marry na .....LOL haha George Clooney still dey single na. My sister isn't married yet so I am not sure I see anything wrong in sharing an apartment while I save funds. Her sponsorship was actually a formality because despite paying off my tuition I still had about 14,000CAD in my acc at the time of application. My only problem was that nothing stopped CIC to highlighting these things in my previous application so they can be address altogether, people are refused with up to 7 reasons at once, but in my own case it was just one for each application how unfair is that? |

symbian03: Brother it was between ECU and Swinburne. But Tuition on MSc is quite scary. So I have applied to Swinburne for there 2 yrs advanced diploma which is about 16,000 Aud per annum. The ECU MSc is about 25,000 per annum plus I read that Perth is a bit expensive. I don't want to stress myself looking for 25,000 for the second yr if I applied to ECU. |

erictack203: I know exactly how this feels. I have watched my brother and my two close friends given a study visa to Canada, one of my family friend whom I informed got the skill federal worker last yr. A guy from nairaland email me to thank me on how he designed his sister application after mine. His sister was given last month. Whole scenario makes you feel rejected. 1 Like |

erictack203: I share your frsutration it gets insulting by the day. I was sponsored by my blood sibling who is an asistant bank manager who had already sponsered my older brother to canada and another who is a succesrul business owner whom I work with, I initially paid 7000 for my first semester tution but I was refused a Canadian visa for insufficient funds, in my confusion I reapplied again with more documents to prove finance but was refused the second time for insufficient funds and personal assets, then I released they wanted to see my own financial input. So i applied with me bank accounts, fixed deopists and stock portfolio inclusive. Unfortunately my school didn't have my program for Sept so i applied to another school for the same program then paid of my tuition of $27500. Only to be refused last month for purpose of visit and length of stay. People are now telling me the cause was because the program was termed graduate certificate in the initial school i used for application but called fast track advanced diploma in the second school. So the V.O considered advanced diploma lower than my b.eng. so my application was refused on the bases of academic progression.......imagine that? Both program had Bsc as there admission requirement and considered a post graduate program on the schools website respectively. At the moment bringing back my $27500 would see me loose 600,000 is FX. It is quite insulting, the fund is there, the intention to study is there but people still get refused for flimsy excuses. This is the first time I am reading about a refusal on this Australia thread. I am about applying to Australia and U.S at the same time so I sincerely hope I am not about to through my money away again. Oga Eric I understand the quest to secure the future especially for the kids, me never get one sha. I really don't know what to tell you obviously I am discomobulated myself but e go better. 1 Like |

Pmiller1: Oh it's clear, I am very ok with that. I thought they meant it as non- refundable like a visa application fee. I also looked at Victoria university melboure for the same program it's cost more there though and they referred me to pfl. Thanks men, you have been wonderful |

hayqinsbFX: Of course miscreants make life harder on everybody, and when policies are formulated it affects everyone. i have genuinely sort to study in Canada because i wanted a breach between theory and hands on practical in world class scenario. and also the 4-months co-op + 3yrs PGWP which would be a boost to relevant work experience. Even Oga Justwise told me that i had no funds to finance my education the first time i was refused, now i have shown how prepared i am CIC probably wants me to take Msc against my will. 2 Likes |

hayqinsbFX: So you just send them a copy of the WES evaluation? But most of them request that your transcript be sent directly to them. I never really applied for MSc because I valued technical skills more than theories plus colleges take scanned copies of transcripts. I hate going back to my disorganized school to request for transcript. |

Also if anyone can give me a quick response on things like. Advantages and disadavnages to SVP and Non-SVP. Prospects of getting employed for graduation from a TAFE program. And ease of getting a PR. I am reading the thread but also anyone who can give me a quick heads up would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

Good Day every one. I just took a work from the Canadian thread to here after 3 refusals for student TRV. I have already started the Australia TAFE admission process in June before I realized that I needed IELTS so I requested for them to defer my admission for January to enable me write the exam. But I got a mail from them saying all applications from Nigeria has been suspended so I am kind of confused where to start again. I am currently reading up the thread but any help or suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you. 1 Like |

richcasey: The first I used a company that charged me 30cad because my brother is always forming busy. But I am hoping he has the time to help me order it this time around. If you are considering reapplication , then I suggest you get a masters admission. That was our undoing and unfortunately what ever policy that brought about that took effect this Fall. It's really sad. |
