CIC just sent me a response "there has been no updates to your application since you lasted checked". Right now.
But na since When CIC begin send this kind message? Not sure how its supposed to make me feel.

I anticipated the online issue when I and some order people complained of lots of error with the online route while trying to submit.
I applied on 6th June, did biometric on 8th.
No word from cic as of today.

I am beginning to wish I heed to Tnuola words on paper route.

Watch what you eat, Exercise 1-3 times weekly, drink lots of water and find time to rest. Most people don't care about there health till they turn 50, when the damage would have already been done.

I think it' will be extremely difficult to raise your tuition and living expenses as a student in Canada, at least not with good grades.
At the same time how can you tell anyone who already has TRV but without the funds to stay back?

If it's a single sponsor, it's not. S/he can simply state that they would be responsible for all of your expenses. That pretty much covers everything.

Thanks for your response, my sponsor didn't state that sha, but I did make 100% 2yrs tuition payment and I do have reasonable funds of my own

Is it compulsory for your sponsor to specify how much is available to you?

Society evolves overtime and so do the morals and ethics of that society. Some years back, trading in slaves does not carry any moral or legal burden. Even religion such as Christianity never frowned at it. But with time, we all realised we can't continue selling each other. And slave trade became wrong both morally and legally.

My point is, that same sex union was morally wrong in the past doesn't always mean it will continue to be morally wrong. The society is evolving and all moral and ethical wrongs that are inimical to the development of the society will have to give way. Beside, morality is subjective in my own opinion.

We are of an accord that laws are mostly drawn from the Norm of the society but you argue that these norms evolve with time Which I agree to that.

But evolution tend towards betterment or to serve a greater good. What greater good does same sex marriage offer in the scheme of things? as seen in the abolishing of slave trade and killing of twins.

Like you said what grown adults do behind closed doors is not your business, but how about the teenager under going a period of sexual development at an age they know very little about gender differences what effect would such laws have on them.

Though I have already re-applied, I believe the docs I submitted will address the issues raised in the report. What GAPS are they talking about? The travel history note is i believe is irrelevant.

I believe your sponsor is not the problem here, they are concerned about your work history/ and how much you earn/have and ur family background.

I personally think the V.O is nuts sha.
How many people who apply for student visa have high paying jobs, the point of applying for student visa is it not to improve your professional skills?
I just don't understand these people.

Money in account does not equal Fund avialable, you were particularly asked, "Fund available for study" out of that Ten million, how much will they part-with for you.
You had to state the Fund your Dad and the Aunty will be spending, the SOA is just for verification.

I think u are right, I also believe that pending the relationship of the sponsor ie brother, sister, father , mother or uncle they assume a certain percentage could be available for you.

This happened to me with firstbank 2yrs ago.
10k just disappeared from my account with no email notification nor Sms alert.
I was told my card was used for an online transaction, that I must have exposed my PAN. I argued that there was no way someone would get my PAN, my Security and my pin from my memory to initiate such transactions.
From what they said, it was used for 4 different transaction of about 2500 each, but I queried them how come I got no alert for the transactions, not even one alert both email alert and sms alert, if I was careless and take the blame of having exposed my card details then who takes the blame for the failed alert delivery which I pay for monthly? That was when they said that they sent out the alerts but that my phone inbox must have been full or my network provider had issue at the time. Then I asked them what was responsible for the failed email alert, that they had no answer to that.


They will try all possible means to deny there shortcomings and lapses if you have the time , the legal prowness and media resources they will be forced to settle it to avoid bad image.
Don't overlook it because it's 2k, it's about the principle.

It's regrettable that Canadian V.Os have no laid out standards. One can speculate that u r application success depends on the mood on of the one handling ur application.

@ hayquinbfx you do know that you need to have a good reason for changing institutions right? Some schools have very poor international student information Centre who are supposed to differentiate PGD from UG programs.
I changed my institution to centennial too but that was because my program at Conestoga had only January and May intake.
So I explained that in my SOP, I also explained why it was more expensive than the conestoga program because of the addition of one more semester which makes it even a better option and I paid the entire 2yrs tuition.

The construction management at centennial college is a one year program and sharp contrast from your initially proposed 3yrs program. I am not sure if you have noticed that too.

I am sorry about your delay bro, i don't quite agree 100% with people insinuating that Advanced Diploma was the reason for your delay.
For people with High school certificates, a Diploma takes 1-2 yrs and 3 yrs to complete and Advanced Diploma.
People with university degrees also undergo Advanced Diploma programs but in there case it is reduced to 2 yrs and termed fast track.

It will be wrong if you applied for 3 yrs Advanced diploma designed for fresh high school students while you already have a B.Sc. but if you applied for the 2 yrs fast track version designed for people with Diplomas and Bachelor's degrees then i don't think that should be an issue.

Also i think you gave the V.Os too much more than they asked and it back fired.
If you are 22, a fresh graduate barely 6 months out of school and your father is your sponsor, why did you bother yourself with a study leave and including your SOA?

How can i scan them as one document?

First of all you have to determine the settings with the clearest visibility and lowest size, then while scanning you can just add the document one after the other then save as one single file.

Incase you need to merge documents or convert jpg to pdf vice versa you can use either the online tool smallpdf.com or download and install the software pdfill. Pdfill can also enable you reorder pdf file pages.
While scanning remember to crop out white spaces to help reduce size.

When things are beyond your control or has no rational explanation, it's termed mother nature or destiny. Which is actually God every living thing acknowledges that. Religion is the way you believe to communicate with it. No one has thrown Buddhism, hindu, Islam and Christianity at your face. So you don't feel offended next time someone mentions God, consider it as a call for mother nature to his/her favor and not throwing religion at your face because actually they didn't mention any prophets.

So true, I see this as the devil's handwork and the VO's aint smiling from the look of things. Their really looking for ways and excuses to limit Nigerian applicants. It is well!

Like I said they spend more time looking for negative reasons than they spend analyzing you app.

ok so they finally made the transfer. And here's what happened.

I walked into diamond bank for the Form A on friday. They asked me to open an account. I did that and deposited 300k into the account because I just wanna pay the acceptance fee for now 1500 CAD. So because of diesel and all that I was asked to come on monday.

on monday, I got to the bank at 7mins past 1pm and the bank had closed. I went back home.

On tuesday morning, the bank guy assigned to my case called me to come over. And when I got there they asked me to get my BVN number. I had to go back to GT for that.
I had already filled the form A on friday and submitted along a copy of my acceptance, passport data page, degree Certificate and a formal letter requesting for the transfer to canada.

Today, I received an alert of my account debited NGN243,000 for the CAD1,500
change rate @162 no other charges YET! I hope they don't charge anything more sha.

I hope that helps you and any other person seeking to pay their fees.

Gtbank done chop me be that and this would probably end any serious transaction I will do with them.
my transaction was charged at 171 CAD, I wonder what was the need for CBN FORM A. imagine 11 Naira difference and I transferred 13,000 already.

I think Gtbank just sold money to me at there own rate, and throw away the form A.

Actually i am a new client with them, barely a year. My former brokers crashed and closed office five years ago with the market crash.
I only opened an account with them to help me gather my documents. i haven't done any trades with them just my old certificate which they helped me verify.

Please is it compulsory or necessary to get a letter of intro from my stock brokers.
They just me my CSCS Statement or told me they charge 5k from the letter of intro.
I don seriously run down if that letter is not going to add a meaningful value make keep my 5k abeg.
